    500 mAs???? That's insane for the transthoracic!! Even during my film days I would have shot that image on this woman at 63-80mAs @ 81 Kv --- I just literally did a transthoracic for humerus with DR and used 32mAs -- 16ma with 2 sec breathing technique. The days of burning out patients is over. Your positioning is decent --- anyone out there using this --- please don't center on the upside/non injured humerus --- just put the cross-hairs of the wall board where you want the CR to exit on the injured humerus. Don't work harder --- work smarter.

    Pretty sure he meant 50 mAs no way you’d shoot a humerus at 500. I’d have shot it at 40mAs with the DR system

      yes --- please ignore that --- 500 mAs is waaaaaay too much - even with film. I think my head almost exploded.

      perhaps he thought of mA : ) instead of mAs, its hot for mAs.
