  • Join us for an in-depth review of the 2025 Fischer RC4 ski boot. Featuring revolutionary pin inserts in the toe for enhanced uphill performance, this is still a hardcore downhill boot rated with a 130 flex. Built for your downhill chargers, this boot has a sweet design, it's comfortable with a stock ZipFit liner, and has so much more... but, this comes with no walk mode and the absence of pin inserts in the heel. Whether you're a casual skier or a professional, this review will help you decide if the 2025 Fischer RC4 is the right choice for your next skiing adventure.

Thats funny when I saw that I thought, "finally a DH boot with tech inserts and a zipfit liner" Dream Chamonix boot right there.

I like the niche fischer is going for here. Curious as to how it feels going up. A boot like this is perfect for a vacation where you ski resort and get a backcountry guide and can bring one ski with CAST for both types of day. Every time I’ve gone to jackson hole for bc/resort vacation I’ve made compromises in my choice of boot or had to pack a lot of gear and pay for it.

Sick! 🤘🤘 Wish all brands offered this, "Tech Inserts" on non-walk models.

I have talked to some dudes that after fit tech inserts on any boots. It’s possible to drill them in to any boot.

Really interesting boot for freeriders that didn't fit/like the K2 Recon Team.
I'm gonna assume lower shell and cuff are same as this year's RC4 Pro MV, so i personally won't like it. Found that one waay to soft/progressive flexing for a "140" boot. It's almost feels like a touringboot with walkmode engaded, even though the top buckles and BOA are tightened properly.
But if you are actually doin some walking with it and maybe ride backcountry lines where a soft "suspension" is needed, could be a good thing.
(I'm now in a S/Pro Spura 130 BOA with Zipfit Worldcup Liner btw - much stiffer flex than the RC4 but sadly no toe tech inserts on that one...)

Also, what changes in the boot drop it from the 140 to the 130 rating?

Aside from the flex, Is this a strict improvement from the 2024 rc pro Mv? I just got a pair of the previous year, but wondering if I should opt for this model instead before I do any molding/fitting

very similar, different flex, same liner, and added pin compatibility.
