Excellent work as always loopop but I think the product is a mess. Too expensive and seems unfinished. Why not have velocity or after touch with pads like that? You can get excellent after touch with a capacitive touch keyboard which is surely much cheaper to make. Anyway, the arpeggiator seems great though.
Yeah, for a beta version it wouldn't be such a big deal, but a product that has basic functionality missing after release is not something I'll get into again. Sure, they'll add the functionality later, but how long will it take to get the bugs out? My experience with other companies says probably too long.

Why doesn’t anyone make a sequencer with 16 knobs, 16 steps, and a screen(s) or leds that show the note of the 16 steps at all times? These are great tools and all, but every sequencer makes you fly blind in some way or another.
Vector is close with 8, but I think the answer is cost and that people make sequencers for their own dream setup at a price they think will sell. Black shows all the steps BTW, but when it does it's on a relatively small screen.

If you ever have a chance to check it out and let me know what's missing or which questions you have (that aren't related to a specific setup issue) I'd be happy to expand on that in the book or in video form as appropriate.
28:48 if you wanna know how good are your headphones. volume all the way up no cheating.
Then come back talk to me.
Inky would you buy me a modular synth, my friends all got Moogs....
CV and Trig ins don't work yet and are promised in a future update. No thanks.
Yeah, for a beta version it wouldn't be such a big deal, but a product that has basic functionality missing after release is not something I'll get into again. Sure, they'll add the functionality later, but how long will it take to get the bugs out? My experience with other companies says probably too long.
@@eternalvoid2678 I was put off their stuff with my noisy milky way and sqwak dirty. I have 2 shuttle controls that I love but one of them likes to flake out sometimes.
My heart says yes, my wallet says no.
If there would be a alternative firmware without the drum gates and a few more melodic tracks, i would buy it tommorow. I have already a better drum sequencer. Greetz ✌️🤟👍
@@loopop Thanks, I thought about erica, but I have the Vector. That's the closest anyone has come to the perfect sequencer at least for me
This or Eloquencer ?
Great video, thnx alot. i
i think a sequencer like the Westlicht Perfomer is much stronger than this one . for half the price
Класс! Тактильные патчи.
Yarns has an arpeggiator
Woah 😳😳😳
Cool!
Can you please consider for your next video to show how to make a dawless setup with minimal hardware like a synth, drum machine and a looper of some kind(maybe a groovebox which can do both - drums and looping from external source(like the synth I mentioned)
Thanks - there are so many potential DAWless setups, but if you're interested in my take on setups with a looper check out my review of Aeros Looper or the RC500
@@loopop Thanks! ill take a look..
Happy Passover :)
Same to you :)
@Selahl Tapes Is it true standalone tho?
i dont want to rely on computer anymore and i'd go with the MC101 if it could record from external synth into one of the tracks..
@@RamRevivo you can sequence external synths into a track on the mc101. But like the other guy said. Mpc is way more powerful and versatile. I was gonna get one but I'm currently on my way down the rabbit hole 🤣 gonna put together a case with the ground control and queen of pentacles to go with my moog grandmother,.. and my mc101.
Please, someone has to develop a module called Major Tom that you can connect this to.
This is where I kick myself for not connecting this to a Tom module playing a Major scale
Wait, so this device uses USB-A connector for the connection to a host and USB-B connector for the connection to a peripheral?
. . . That's exactly the reverse to what USB standard mandates!
🤩
1000 mA, the fancy way of saying 1 amp. xD
Most modules denote their power requirements in mA
@@loopop Indeed, for reference I make the same joke about 1000 ml liquid containers. :)
@@robertsyrett1992 you sound LOLtastic!
@@McEnroe911 Well, I am a talking dog on the internet.
It's also a welding station ?
such a pity about the screen
its good but not $700 good.
Waste of eurorack space and money. Back to my Nerdseq, just bought a new CV 16 extension ;)
200 euros cheaper and it would have been a "must have"
You tell me it's costing more than 200 euros ? Really ?
@@FastRCToys mate its over 500 euros, you can get a mpc one for that much
@@miss.antidote but the screen of the "ground control" is far better ;)
