- The Full version of Danube Waves. I uploaded this as a start to Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course Book 2, songs from which I will be uploading during the upcoming 2 weeks or so.

very good. especially loved your sharpshooters march which I used to play every day as a warm up to my practices about 40 years ago.
@myaccordionhistory yes, it is a challenging piece to play, especially from hearing, which I did due to a lack of sheet music. However, it was a lot of fun, too :) Danube Waves is one of my favorite waltzes and it was exciting to be able to learn it 'from scratch'. I'm very glad that I may serve as an example. It is a real honor :) I thank you, Leon, and all those who watch these videos. It's encouraging to receive such positive feedback :)

I found a really old copy of sheet music on e bay, called The Jolson Story,Anniversary Song. But bit too difficult for a beginner like myself. A simpler version is in the book recommended here, Palmer-Hughes Accordion Course Book 2 which i found on Amazon.

you play verry well this song. After 2 years finally a bought an acordeon, and i start to practice playing this song but a easy version. Is so hard to play , i can't play with bass, i try but nothing, of course i play only for 2 days but i looks to me verry complex, and this song is.... complicated.

Glad to see you're very eager to start playing - that's the attitude! Although, I would suggest you try to get to know the basics of accordion playing before trying to handle Danube Waves. I suggest trying to find a live teacher to give a good example : )

hey,.... great job!.... I too got back to playing the accordion lately as well,...question for ya,... do you have the music notes to that song ( Danube waves) I love this version,.. yet, all I have is the PH 1 minute version. thanks in advance!

You need to put in at least 10,000 hours to get good at anything. Any small miniscule improvement is success.

I like the sound of the accordeon for this piece. Sadly every street musician over here has chosen to play this on their accordeon. Some are great, most are shit.
