killer through the effects loop. So happy for you. Im glad you are making your dreams come true. I always knew you had the potential to make things happen. You're doing it!
I used to use it in the front of my Peavey valve king, and Marshall G100rcd w/ carvin 4x12 when I was a teen. I even gigged with it in my early 20s. It's killer. I'm gonna try it in the FX loop someday. Nice vid!
love how you don't give a damn and have the Gain all the way to MAX yeah having the Mid Frequency all the way to 5k is the way to start getting into good Tone territory
The Metal Zone should only be used as a boost if it's in front of the amp, with the volume up and the gain at 9 o'clock or less, and only make small, tiny adjustments. Otherwise, yes, use it as a preamp in the loop all the way. I have the Behringer clone, the UM300, and that's how I always used it. I'd put it in front of my Zoom amp modeler pedal with the gain at 0 and the volume dimed, and record that through an ART Tube MP Studio into my interface, with an IR loader on the track, then I'd load another track, and with the same EQ I'd run the UM300 direct into the Tube MP Studio, XLR out to interface, Ignite TPA-1 power amp VST, and IR loader. I had an ART SLA-1, and I'd use the same hardware configs to run that into that power amp and into a Seismic Audio 4x12. I'd crank the tube gain on the Tube MP Studio so it would get the tinyest bit of grit, throw my 57 and e609 on the speaker, and that was all she wrote. The tones blended together in a quad track was insane. The sound in the room was pretty good, too. I usually used a sim of a Marshall Super Lead Plexi, or a Dual Rectifier. I also use the same trick with some Joyo Bantamps (Meteor and Jackman) with some Twin Clean Drive pedals from Guitar Fetish (power tube emulation pedals) in the FX loop or between the UM300 and the FX return, set to EL34, and I wasn't disappointed, either.
Trust me. Greatest pedal evah into the return loop. My poor Bolt amp and Marshall amps pre-amp sections never se any action any more. The Metal Zone is a gift from the gods!!!
So you can do that, but you MUST have some sort of IR on the other end on your PC. Otherwise it will sound like an amp without a speaker haha. But if you were doing this for budget reasons, line 6 and even Celestion have free IR's (: Also TONS of free IR's are available online anyway if you search em. Its an amazing world to get in to weather you wanna pay for some or get free ones or both as I do ;D
@@forlornhope_ do you think I have to buy a noise canceling pedal or not need ? I will play just at home with hearphones or light sound from fender mustang thanks

@@forlornhope_I listened to this with IEMs without looking at the video ;) So my guess is that it's your voice mic (that is picking up the guitar strings sound as well) that is late compared to the recorded guitar track
@@forlornhope_so if I get this right, the guitar chain only tone (which sounds fine) is only during the intro, and then when you start commenting it's either only a vocal mic or a vocal mic mixed with the guitar chain recording (and that's when it sounds weird and/or out of sync for me) ?
@@djabthrash Yes lol. I am in need of a few upgrades. I have no way to really shut off my mic and try to explain things as the same time. So I did a bit of a work around and did guitar audio only for the intro. Later on I hopefully will be able to make that easier

I never had an issue running my Metal Zone in the front of my amp. Sounds fine to me and I have had people tell me it sounds good as well.
Thats good! I do like the setting I had in the front (:

I like the mega distortion most of all of bosses other distortion pedals.
Definitely would love to show all of em here (:
The DS1 and Metal Zones are glorified paperweights 😂
Made for metal and some dudes use it for blues then bees came out, but im having trouble mixing it in the band
I loved jamming alone with my metal zone but it never worked out with other guitars.
What about straight into the audio interface? Does it bring the good or the bad out of it?

Who knew? Everyone. It wasn’t a mystery sleeper pedal. Everyone has used it fine for decades before Ola’s video.
There's a simpler version. its called the Boss Metal Core.
I do love that pedal! Probably will cover that one here one day (:
Ever try the empress heavy menace? No loop needed. And it blows that pedal away
I have not but I would love to! :)
what about if I put the métal zone on an amp fender mustang 25 without fx loop ? thanks .
Takes dialing in very specifically but yes you can run it through the front just fine (:

Yeah, but I had an MG cab unfortunately lol
Take out c35 and c25 and then put it in front of the amp lol
Your camera audio seems late compared to the recorded guitar chain sound, which makes this demo sound terrible.
Make sure they 're in sync next time
I don't have camera audio.... use your ears instead of your eyes and it will sound better :p make sure you know next time
