  • Eating at Korean Convenience Store 🇰🇷 Korean ramen convenience store
    Today’s episode is not your typical, eating inside a 7 Eleven. We are in Seoul, Korea and one of the popular things to do when visiting Seoul is to go to the Han River to have a picnic. And being that this activity is so popular, I wanted to do my 7 Eleven episode at the Han River.
    When researching 7 Elevens near the Han River, I found there was a floating 7 Eleven store at the Han River (Hangan River Park). This was perfect and allows me to show you guys one of the only floating 7 Eleven I’m aware of. If you know of another floating 7 Eleven, be sure to leave me a comment and let me know where to go.
    The traditional foods of gimbap, ramen noodles, and tteokbokki are of a few of the popular foods you’ll find Koreans eating at the Han River. I’ll be picking up these items, as well as a few other favorites from 7 Eleven. Be sure to watch till the end and see everything I ate at the Han River in Seoul Korea.
    Thank you for watching and be sure to hit that like button. Also, I’d love to hear what you thought of the episode. So please feel free to leave a comment below. Have yourself a wonderful day and I’ll see you back in the next episode.

    The ramen cooking station looks awesome. Gives me an appetite to see the different foods you try!

      I prefer the cooking stations versus the cup of ramen, which cooks slowly by the noodles sitting in the hot water. You'll have to give it a try sometime. I think you'd enjoy it.

    I really like the idea of the preparation station! I'd feel so guilty bringing multiple items up to the register in Thailand that needed heating up lol

      Unfortunately I've done that in Thailand and it does slow down the cue. I feel bad making people wait, so having a self prepare station definitely makes a difference.

    We miss Korea so much! We didn't see any cooking ramen options when we were there but we really enjoyed their range of sausages!

    Shin Ramyun Black is my faaavourite! It's less spicy than the regular version (which suits my relatively weak tolerance 😂) and I love how the beef bone broth makes for a thicker, richer (almost creamy?) soup base. Also the vegetable flakes are more generous...the dehydrated shiitake in particular are *chef's kiss*. How did you find it compared to the standard?
    Looks like such a fun and atmospheric experience. Thank you for another great video - looking forward to the next one! In the meantime, travel safe, you two! ❤

      Yes, definitely less spicy. But the flavor was more rich and deep, versus the regular spicy version. I typically add a couple eggs to the regular spicy version to make it more creamy and give it more flavor. Guess I can just pick Shin Black now. 😂

    Just wondering. I think the store had softboiled eggs didn't they? Why did you opt for the raw egg?

    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  Месяц назад +2

      Yes, they offer soft boiled eggs. I just enjoy the raw eggs cooking with the broth. Makes it a bit more creamier.
