i have a "maximus tv box" with 8188 wifi and i cant find a firmware! Box is bricked and will not recodnize...sometimes it will and iam be able to flash the firmware from "Mqxproject in files: S805_8189_MXQdatong_aml_upgrade_package_20160224" but its not the right one....wifi dont work... i need a stock rom 4.4 for 8188 wifi chips.... anyone some ideas?

ive updated everything as stated, however for some reason the WIFI will not enable. its not finding my network and only works when Ethernet is plugged in. i have tried to select WiFi its showing off when i select this to enable it just jumped back a screen, its not working... any ideas would be appreciated.
I did the procedure but mine always goes into traditional recovery and does not go into TWRP mode,I can get the libreelec pop but I can not get into TWRP recovery

on the S805 it needs to boot TWRP from a SD card - You can use the built in Android backup app to backup though as well, its named Update and Backup and should be in your APP list - Can also use a tool called Rashir, which can be downloaded from here - mxqproject.com/files/TWRP/

Is android volume at max? Try changing your HDMI cable also

this cannot be compatible with your particular MXQ hardware - would try dual booting libreelec

how can you backup the frimwere using a USB FLASH DRIVE?

You need to find the right firmware for your device and use USB burning tool to return it to back to android, we have tutorials on this
I was afraid you were gonna say that. I don't have an OTA cable so using USb burning tool is out of the question.....lol
