Sydney is Australia’s most well known city, but it is also known to have one of the highest cost of living around the world. We spent 3 days in Sydney and the cost for transport and accommodation can add up pretty quickly. Particularly if you’re travelling as a family like us. In this video we share how we kept our cost down for transport and accomodation, but still had a very comfortable stay during our three nights in Sydney.

We used Ace rental for our USA roadtrip too and found them the most reasonable. Airbnb is our go to now for all our trips.....you can find some great deals. ....and this Airbnb is really nice...great choice guys. ....great to have the balcony too.
Yeah we find Airbnb great! Definitely the best place to find a bargain and you seem to get more for your money. Particularly when it come to size.
I’ve seen some bad reviews on Ace rentals cars but we have nothing to complain about. Great experience for us.
Parking in Sydney is a nightmare so we rented an airbnb within walking distance to the train line and road the train everyday. It worked out pretty well. (Just don't take the train straight from the airport because that line is more expensive). We used Uber to get out of the airport and then the train/subway for most other trips.
Good idea to get the Uber out of the airport. I’ve also seen some people take the bus out to a nearby station and then catch a train. A bit of messing around but works out much cheaper.

agreed with the tips - for a family def taking public transport from airport isnt the cheapest, the airbnb looks massive dave
Nick and Helmi yeah it was pretty decent. The owners actually left for a couple of days while we were there too so pretty much had it to ourselves.

Fantastic info! Stayed in Sydney over a year ago and Airbnb saved us. Wish we rented a car because we ended up taking the bus and walking a lot.

It's interesting to know that renting a car could be more cost efficient. Airbnb is awesome. We almost always do that option. You guys got a great one.
Great info guys! The footages is amazing, I'm in love with the view!! 😍 we are planning to visit Sydney, most likely next year. Didn't know the transportation there is expensive! But for a family, the car is really a good bargain. Wow the house is really huge, really nice and comfy stay!

@@TheWorldnUs Oh what a timing! Well we haven't got the tickets, but having Sydney in mind. 😄 Our Ringgit currency is not helping at all which makes travelling to Australia expensive, so it will be next year or so 😂

Hey guys 😄 so nice to see our hometown of Sydney! Some really great budget tips! Yikes we forgot how expensive public transport in Syd is... $16 from the airport is robbery! The Airbnb looked AMAZING! And Lindfield was my old hood!
Yeah the price of that train from the airport is crazy! Other trips are much cheaper and you could take the bus. Too much stuffing around for us. That’s cool we ended up in your old stomping ground. We thought it was a really nice suburb.

Sydney is such a massive city... even with a car driving around is like 1 hour cross city for us hahaha def needa get your transport situation sorted. Your air bnb looks awesome so spacious for 80 seems like a bargain for Sydney standards. Thanks for the tour and we gonna get some Hawaii vlogs coming???

Ordinary suburban trains from Lindfield into the city at close intervals - certainly more than 4 an hour. Once you're not paying the airport surcharge the cost is not all that much.

Great vid guys, we've never even looked at the room options before on airbnb, as like you said, we assumed we'd get next to no privacy, but now you've shown us we could be missing out on better deals 😱😁. That train fare out of Sydney airport is a rort man, we were there a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a local bus out of the airport for a few $ each, got off the bus 4 stops later and on to the same train that leaves the airport to the city for only a few more $ each 🤣

Yeah I heard about the bus hack. Definitely much cheaper. But too much stuffing around for us. And yeah we’ve normally ignored private room options on Airbnb until this trip because Sydney is so darn expensive. This worked out as a good affordable option.
Guys, after our latest trip, a month travelling with kids...we don't know how you do it 😱🤣We can appreciate now the need to weigh up ease vs cost in situations like getting from the airport and not always go with the cheapest option 😉

I have a link to the property in the description. At the moment it looks like the listing isn't there. I believe the host removes the listing when it isn't available for a holiday season. I'd imagine he has taken the listing off because of COVID-19. This is the hosts profile on on Airbnb.
