The insta360 Ace Pro is the BEST 4k single lens action camera I have ever used. Period. I don’t think there’s a better 4k action camera on the market for snowboarding whatsoever. I’ve been running this camera predominantly for snowboarding since its release and I have yet to be disappointed by a shot, and it always surprises me just how good the footage out of this action camera looks. The image quality is absolutely beautiful straight out the camera with no color grading required. The battery life is insane even in INSANELY COLD TEMPERATURES. I’ve had this camera in -10 to -30 wind chills and had zero issues whatsoever. No extra loss of battery life, no freezing, no glitching, nothing. I haven’t ran into a single issue with this camera during the whole time I’ve been running it. The quick release mountain is a game changer and works like a charm, making seitching mounting options SOOOO MUCH EASIER. If you want the ultimate high quality 4k action camera shots back in your arsenal regardless of what activity you’re doing, the insta360 ace pro is going to be your best friend. I cannot recommend this camera enough

My GoPro died, went with a ACE pro and never looked back. I just bought another Ace pro, love it.
Heck ya!!!!! Glad to hear it!!! It’s such a great camera. I used to love GoPros but I had so much trouble out of them I finally gave up. The ace pro is the first time in a LONG time I’ve enjoyed a 4k single lens action camera this much

@@worldgenius7441 none actually with the 12. I never took it out😂. The day it arrived the ace pro was announced and I didn’t want to use it till I was sure I wanted to keep it. However with the 10 the battery life was atrocious. Even with the enduro batteries it wasn’t great. They were better than the standard battery but I thought it was ridiculous you had to buy an additional cost just to get halfway decent performance out of the camera. It froze on me so many times and I’d be out in the cold taking the battery out and putting it back in, I’d have a fully charged battery, by the time I got to the top of the lift it would be dead. I was burning up a battery a run vs on my X2 at the time I could do an entire day on one battery. Plus I can’t count how many times over the years the GoPro will randomly skip to Timelapse mode and I’ve seen it happen to so many others. I was willing to give the 12 a try simply to use the max lens mod but I’m glad I didn’t because this camera hasn’t failed me once. I’ve been running insta360 cameras since 2021 and can honestly say I haven’t had a bad experience with them yet.
My main cameras are now all insta360. I love the ace pro but since I got the Go3 black I can't stop using it

8 bit color and the flimsy easy to break flippy screen are deal breakers for me, this camera does perform the best in low light but I have yet to ever use or need an action camera in a low light setting. That being said I really think action cameras have come so far that you can't go wrong with any of the 3 most recent releases, but given the lack of 10bit color, log profile, and smaller pixel size in the ace pro, I still think the action 4 has the edge in overall image quality
True. But it can shoot in 8 bit HDR at 170 megabits per second vs the action 4 and GoPro can only shoot at 120-130 megabits per second. So with it shooting in HDR that high you don’t necessarily need 10 bit. I don’t have the need as much for a log profile where I don’t do much color grading but I can definitely get that if you are someone that’s big into it.
So far with all my slams the screen is doing just fine. I don’t film with it flipped out obviously for action sports but if you were vlogging with it and just using it for other things it’s a nice touch. Folded up it essentially locks into place and feels very sturdy and it’s not going to be flopping around or anything like that.
I definitely agree, a lot of it is going to boil down to personal preference and need. There’s not really any wrong answer depending on what you’re looking for. With hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding in and out of the trees the lower light performance of this camera is just hard to beat. Although Ive seen A LOT of action 4 footage that looks really really good . I think the healthy competition now amongst brands has finally elevated the action camera performance and they’re all insanely good now amongst the main big 3.

It’s such a sick camera! I definitely plan on using it more from here on out. I can’t wait to do some biking with it and see how it does…if it ever quits raining 😂
I switched to it earlier this year and have been filming with it since January. I love it and won't go back to GoPro.
Heck ya!!!! Welcome to the club! It’s sooooo much better. I first switched back when I had a hero 10 and the insta360 x2 and I said never again will I use a GoPro. The only reason I almost used the 12 was the max lens mod. But I’m so glad I didn’t! I love this camera and am so glad to hear you do too!
i dunno why you even bought a gopro, the action 4 is overall a much better product. yes, the ace pro is the king, but i still question why you bought the hero 12 over the action 4.
Honestly the only reason I initially bought the GoPro was the max lens mod. I wanted that insanely wide FOV like a 360. Other than that I agree the action 4 looked so much better. Better image, waaaaaay better battery life, and better functionality. Do you have it?
Ace pro is absolutely amazing for me, I’d still love to try a DJI just to see how it compares.
