The body work made from normal studded lego is super amazing !! You should work for lego I would buy your sets !! Hate bodywork made from studless crap..
Using shock absorbers in suspension doesn't make the ground clearance to be variable. Ground clearance is the distance from the ground to the lowest point of your truck which in most cases will be the differential which when using a solid axle will be connected in a fixed way to the wheels. Only with independent suspension you would have variable-ish clearance (bot not really again as once you would put it on the ground it would stay at the lewer set by balance of weight against shock absorbers' hardness)
+Krzysztof Kwiatkowski Well that all depends on the amount of travel your got. With enough travel, the contactpoint between the axle and the chassis will travel below the lowest point of the axle assembly, thus affecting the ground clearence
O.K., 1 minute in; As a former 'farmboy', I immediately note that half of your tires are mounted Backwards! The Chevrons of the tread should always Point Forward as the tire rolls over-the-top (this, because, that's what you See from the Tractor-Driver's seat! Doh!). This makes the tread 'splay' terra-firma outward as the tire tries for traction. Otherwise, it digs itself a narrow little trench, and you sink, stuck-like!
+ERIC BRAMMER I know which way the wheels are supposed to go. As a matter of fact, in some of outdoor scenes the wheels are correctly attached. I just simply got them on wrong after I cleaned them for shooting indoor :)
im working on a truck i have the chassis done but im stuck on finding the best way to build the cab and bed of the truck do u have any adviceon how to build it better????
Dear Dgustafsson13, Using wormgears is bad for vehicles, because it creates tensions within the drivetrain, and consequently reduces performance and traction, Nico71 is absolutely right here. At such a large scale, it is possible to build something like this, which drives smoothly, and not jerky. It looks nice, but in my opinion a crawler should be optimized for performance, and not looks. Best Regards, Tobias Stanisfugl
Tobias Stanisfugl I fully agree with you, the choice I made by using worm gears was quite a failure. But to defend myself, I've never built any sort of model like this before, meaning I'm completely inexperienced with building full-on offroaders. But I'm learning as I'm doing, and by now I've learned worm gears are a bad choice for these sort of configurations. Won't redo that again for sure ;)
tomaž miklavčič The pieces that shine are plexiglass, not LEGO. This is however a technique I try to not use anymore since it makes it hard for other builders to build my models.
Aaaa... Anyway, can i ask you a favor: My next build is going to be a tractor deutz fahr, i like his light but i'm affraid, that they wont be as good as in real life, do you hve any ideas on how can i bouild them? Picture: image.isu.pub/170307095719-a72f1753b03ffbf40076b94e23458605/jpg/page_1.jpg
tomaž miklavčič I see, those are going to be challenging. The best advise I can give you is to use lots of different small plates and tiles set at angles with ball joints and hinges. That's what I would have done at least.
Dgustafsson could you make the lego technic formula off roader all wheel drive by adding another L motor and motorising the front wheels ? I'm asking beacouse i made your tutorial on the formula off roader and it's ok but it's slow at going up a hill.
I dont think lego worm gears can hold that much force without wearing down and deforming. The vehicle itself looks sick though, and the way it steers is very interesting.
Good model. Now do a megapowerfull crawler/offroader with 1XL per wheel, so it can go pretty fast! :) Im doing one right now (isnt on yt) with 2xls in front axle and 1 on rear axle (i just have 3 xls), and its working so smooth on hard offroading surfaces!
Incredible that I haven't seen this for 3 years! Absolutely awesome. Love the simplicity and the resulting capability! Also looks great. nice job

Where is the building instructions?
Ik vind de truck geweldig!

totally love it
When will you build the Ferrari laferrari from your 5k special video?
The Ferrari was listed as a project I might, or might not, build. And if I decide to build it, it´s probably not going to happen this year
Oh well. Don't rush your project, take your time. I will wait for it.
I won´t. I always prioritize quality before quantity :)
Awesome!
SBrick Thanks!
So is this more like a monster truck version?also this is a BEAUTY
Amazing
Thanks!
Do you have an 8th gen model yet on this? Where can I find the parts list and instructions to make it?
Very cool build.
im working on a truck i have the chassis done but im stuck on finding the best way to build the cab and bed of the truck do u have any adviceon how to build it better????
+brick master I would suggest you to find a real truck that you like the look of, and then just build your model based on that real one :)
thanks :)
what kind of a RC is that in your phone
+BRICK boy LEGO it's SBrick, Google it :)
Is this autonomus?
it's awesome! :D
+Thijs Van Hamersveld Thanks! :D
What ? Is the music?🎉🎉

+QBA 706 Thanks!
Fantastic model. It is slowly buy then you can study all the movemenst the truck does on the terrain. Cool that also.. Are you planning instructions?
+Helge Myhre Thank you very much! There will be no instructions for this model, sorry
Do you use inbuilt air compressor for powering up LPE
Impressive.
+Felix Klenk Thanks!
I need to get back into Technic building.
Amazing!!!...
+LEGO BRICK Thank you!

+Yurusenai Thanks! I don't know exactly, a couple of weeks maybe :)
Monster truck. I like it.
Thanks!
thats NICE :)
+Jelle Johan Schmidt Thank you! :)
In my opinion, if U turn left tires on the right axel U will get more grip on on sand. 😉
+Łukasz Rugała That's maybe true, didn't test that unfortunately :/
Very nice model ! Where did you get these tires from ? Are they custom, because I never saw them on Lego sets before
+VladPcGamer Thank you! They're from set 42054 (Technic Claas tractor) :)
Dgustafsson13 all right :)
A great looking cab for sure. Don't overuse "so". ;)
+stipzao Thank you!
Woher bekommt man solche Trucks?
I built them myself :)
What have you used for lights. On the one side are normal bricks, but what about those two ''bricks'', wich shines.
tomaž miklavčič The pieces that shine are plexiglass, not LEGO. This is however a technique I try to not use anymore since it makes it hard for other builders to build my models.

VladTheImpaler 1 yeah I guess you can make it 4 wheel drive, but that'll probably require a lot more work than making it just rear wheel drive.
Dgustafsson13 Ok thankyou very much.
super!
Thanks!
Will u upload instructions? and id like to see this beast in only lego technic version, are u planning something like this?
+Kkkk Lloll I'm sorry, got no plans for that at the moment
Can u upload some pics of cockpit? i want to build it, and it would help me :)
oh sorry, i didint visited flickr.
Kkkk Lloll Good idea, visit my Flickr :) all the pics I've taken of this truck is published over there :)
any instructions coming soon?
I dont think lego worm gears can hold that much force without wearing down and deforming. The vehicle itself looks sick though, and the way it steers is very interesting.
+12171010011010 Nope they can not, bad choice by me. Thank you!

Its okay, hope you try some day :)
And thanks!
GREAT!!!!
+jason rathgeber Thanks!
+jason rathgeber Thanks!
You couldn’t just use a servo motor?
I dont like using them for models steered in the middle. Becomes a very effective servo motor killer
nice
+Dr. Lego Builder Thanks!
So nice! where you have the plane for youre truck?
basstier2007 Thank you! Plane?
Dgustafsson13 construction Plan
basstier2007 Ah you mean instructions, well I don't have any for this model unfortunately
