Had a tough day and this video was just what I needed. The swamp beckons! Another great location and history lessons... thanks for taking us along. The food, the drone shots, the editing...you guys keep knocking out amazing content!
Honestly, its nice to see the places ya'll explore, but I appreciate even more the history lessons you share with us in your videos. Thank you for that!! 😊
Been born and raised in SWFL. Gators are nothing to be afraid of. They don't want to be around people either. I here the Osprey's , they mate for life♡ love watching Y'all.
Ciao Kellie and Cody... Thanks for sharing your parents with your YT family ❤️. Kellie your outfit is gorgeous and that handsome man by your side what a blessed couple you both are . As a blessed cook like yourself Kellie, I too would appreciate a night off for an amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 star meal , compliments to the chef and his team. Keep enjoying yourselves out there. Awesome vlog once again thanks. Stay safe and well everyone. Ciao Wendy 🇭🇲 in 🇮🇹❤️✌️💜👋
We enjoy your blogs and love seeing our beloved state of Texas ! Just a work of caution, stay abreast of the weather tonight, storms-a-brewing! Ken and Brenda T.
I love watching you two. I'm a country girl. Some times my heart get so full with that down home feeling and enjoyment in nature I just start to cry. Thanks for bringing it home. Now if that's not enough. Girl you can cook and I love to cook! 😋❤
Jefferson TX was the highlight of our trip in 2020. Can't believe you didn't stop in at the Blackburn jam store for some awesome jams, jellies, & syrups. We walked along the boardwalk that is on the outskirts of the town, nice area to visit.
You make interesting and fun to watch videos. I like your cooking too. We lived in north Central Texas years ago, now in No. Idaho, so different where you are.
I LOVE antique shops and flea markets. Truly, some of the best finds for camping can be found. Plus, I love the idea that most of the things found there have been around for generations. If they could speak and tell us the stories they know!!
I'm new to your channel, enjoying binge watching. The scenery on this video is absolutely incredible. Me and my husband camped for 50 years, so many great memories. We aren't able to anymore but that's okay, just thankful for the years we had. Take care and keep on having fun.
I am sure you will go back to this area again. Since yall fish, there is a new bait store on your way to the lake off 43. It is called 3F bait and Restraunt. They make good food and have a lot of jigs for the crappie and bass as well as live bait. Yes sir, in the summer, when you are fishing here, you need to keep a look out for the wasp nest, if your not careful, you will end up being closer than you had hoped. There is tons of them out there, especially on the post with the signs that tell you where you are at I am still learning the lake have only been here a couple of years, but I love to kayak fish this lake. Since you are talking about it, you can kayak and or boat over to goat island and camp. Jefferson Is a fun little town as well. I am glad yall went there. Lots of cool stuff in that old town. Thanks for shairng this video with us. Maybe we will see yall out there sometime. Keep up the fun videos. Dale
Great video and beautiful country! Cody, the next time you two go paddling along, cast that jitterbug out behind you a ways and drag it along behind you as you slowly meander along. You might be surprised brother. I caught a crappie that missed the state record for Texas by 1/4 inch doing that... Atb - Luther
I pin all of these incredible destinations that you share! Hoping one day😃I’ll get to them all. I like that your kayaks do not float in a circle while your sitting idle there and fishing! I might have to look into the Viking. My sit on top sends me spinning the moment I stop paddling. I believe it has to do with the design of the tracking hull.
Caddo Lake is timeless💚 you really captured its awesomeness!! Can't wait to go back but won't be tent camping near the water, I still remember all the splashing I heard at night😱 love the history u share on these places🤘
Caddo...yes! Isn't it great? I went to school in Kilgore so we were at Caddo all the time...wink! I wish you could see the sunrise today over our mountain here in Mountain Home Ark. Huge orange ball! But snow expected by 9:00! If ya don't like the weather here, wait a few minutes! Ha Ha I grew up on that in Texas too! Hopefully, we'll see our Service Berry blooms soon, the yellow jonquils are already out! Spring has sprung!
Really cool one! Loved the paddle thru the swamp. To think that it was dug by folks forced to do so is painful, but important to say. Also loved the history you shared on Jefferson. Super interesting!
As to security, can you get a LowJack installation for a RV vehicle? If, so, that would facilitate recovery. Or, some kind of security (Ring Phone?) with cameras that you can access remotely? Good luck, love the videos.
In eastern NC, all up and down the Cape Fear River and her tributaries, there are places like that with cypress, cypress knees (aka Grandma’s knees). Those places are invariably GORGEOUS! However, … I was canoeing down one of the smaller tributaries and we paddled under the Spanish Moss. What I hadn’t expected is for there to be snakes hiding in that moss and dangling DIRECTLY OVER OUR CANOES!!! One of them dropped down and fell into the water immediately next to my canoe. I just about had a heart attack!! It scared me half to death. Moral of the story is: Watch for snakes in the limbs over the water you’re kayaking!! Seriously scared me half to death and I’m nervous about canoeing/kayaking those waters all these many years later.
Hi Cody! I think the grocery store plant you're referring to is an orchid? And, yes, they too are epiphytes. Epiphytes derive nutrients from the air and rain (via photosynthesis), but not the plant upon which they are growing. Love seeing all the wonderful places you guys are visiting!
Often growing on bald cypress, drooping like an old man's beard, is Spanish moss. Actually, not a true moss at all. Actually, it is in the bromeliad family, Spanish moss is a type of flowering plant. The flowers are extremely small. Found that on the internet…. You captured all of it so beautifully ❤️. Love how y’all share so much detailed information of the places you adventure through.
Kellie could you please please do me a favor. Get my Boy Cody a nail Clipper and put it inside his tackle box. He freaks me out when he pulls out the Rambo 🔪 Ha Ha the paddle was great. Awesome history learned from this video. Kellies father collection 👍 and fudge yummy 😋 Yhanks for another 1
Just ordered myself some lavender. Never thought of putting it in coffee but I love lavender tea! Beautiful area to kayak in and love the shops in Jefferson and Kelli's Dad's store. If you guys ever make it to Kentucky or Ohio to camp please hit me up! Would love to share some spots you need to check out. I also realized I have been following for about a year. Starting watching you guys last year before my neice joined us for her first camping trip....I had the camp itch so bad and do again at the moment. Would love to live the life you guys do!!!
CADDO LAKE earlier known as Ferry Lake and even earlier, way back, it was Fairy Lake. Also Don Henley has helped to bring back Eagle populations with his charitable kindness. As a matter of fact y'all might see an "Eagle" and some eagles while visiting cause sshhh .. he has a home there, watch his RUclips video about CADDO LAKE. Anywho, stay safe. Robin from CADDO Parish
If you are ever in South Georgia in the fall, winter or early spring check out Stephen C. Foster St. Park in the Okefenokee Nat. Wildlife Refuge. Great camping, kayaking, hiking.
Thanks for the idea about lavender petals! I’ve been on a vanilla lavender coffee kick and I’ll have to look for these! I just love y’all. Have y’all ever had a fan camp out? Would love to camp with y’all!!!!!
Just discovered yall recently when looking for Big Bend vlogs, really enjoy your content so far. I'm from Austin and I've been to both Big Bend and Caddo Lake and both have a unique lure. I'm a desert gal myself but my bf in college had family that lived on Caddo so I got lots of swamp exposure. Both are special and have great star gazing! Look forward to following yall.
You guys are in my place stomping territory. I am from Longview, Tex. Love to watch your channel. Sorry I missed the cook book though. The name is Carolyne.
I love that you give a bit of history about the areas that you visit and camp at. Just love your honest, down home, humble attitudes.
The music you incorporate in your blog are spot on. Really catch the vibes

We got to see a rare Osprays nest with babies the last time we went boating there! So glad you found Caddo! An absolute gem of peace! ❤
Thanks for sharing East Texas. I lived in the Bossier City/Shreveport area for almost ten years. Loved my time there.
We enjoy your blogs and love seeing our beloved state of Texas ! Just a work of caution, stay abreast of the weather tonight, storms-a-brewing! Ken and Brenda T.
Cody you always say that dude! Not many people know it, but Jefferson is the New Orleans of Texas. Wonderful....especially at Christmas!
Fun video! Jonathan is a spittin’ image of your Dad!
Good job guys! Really.enjoyed this one. Brought back memories of me and my grandad fishing on Caddo.
“Fun Facts about the USA, by Cody”, sounds like a fantastic name for a new channel, Cody! That “Fun Facts” was excellent!!
Beautiful float!! Love the cypress trees!! Absolutely stunning!!
I love watching you two. I'm a country girl. Some times my heart get so full with that down home feeling and enjoyment in nature I just start to cry. Thanks for bringing it home. Now if that's not enough. Girl you can cook and I love to cook!

What a cute little downtown there in Jackson. Looks like you have a wonderful time with your parents. That fudge looks amazing! Yum!

What a neat old town, Jefferson Texas is. Great seeing family as well.
Yes, I used to make lavender sugar cookies. Your aerial shots are really good.
Glad to see y’all enjoyed my neck of the woods, I live on Louisiana side
Loved this video. Lived on the North side of Caddo a few years back. Love the peace and wildness of Caddo. Happy Trails.
You make interesting and fun to watch videos. I like your cooking too. We lived in north Central Texas years ago, now in No. Idaho, so different where you are.

Was fun to go along. Thank you 😊
It's been years since we've been to Jefferson. Fun town. Cypress swamp looks surreal!
Amazing paddle guys
You guys made my day. I was a bit depressed and you took that away. Thank you so much 🥰
I saw my first swamp rabbit at Government Ditch. Swam right in front of our boat.
I've lived in Texas all my life. I've been to Caddo several times, but I had no idea of the history! Really interesting. I need to get back there.
Love Jefferson. Lots of B n Bs for folks that may not be into camping. Cool place.
I was looking forward to seeing this vlog with that really cool kayak shot of you both in the Cypress swamps. Very Interesting.
Best video I've ever seen of Caddo lake and the archway! Fabulous job on this ! 👏👏

Y'all are so lucky, thanks for sharing this beautiful place, love the moss .
Omg your introductions have become absolutely amazing.
A fun and interesting episode . Thanks Cody and Kellie
Looks like a cool place. Both the lake and Jefferson. I also enjoy kayaking swamps and paddling with alligator.

Great camera work and music guys..
Did y'all know the bald cypress is in the top five of oldest living tree species in the world, sorry I like to nerd out sometimes, God bless y'all.

I love Caddo! 😍 Great park! Glad yall got to go see it

Don't you just expect to see a T Rex plunging through the Cypress any minute! I always thought they could film a Jurassic Park movie there!
Great videography! Some of your best work…the pacing, lake shots, music and of course good personable talent.
I pin all of these incredible destinations that you share! Hoping one day😃I’ll get to them all.

I've been down the Government Ditch (and back) in a power boat. Caddo Lake is an amazing place.

"Our wedding day wasn't the best day of your life??" sounds like something I'd say 😂🤣
Great drone footage
