Great video Dave 👍
Good to see a cheap solution working so well.
Stay safe.
What a good idea bud taking the idea of the trident and making it cheaper for the masses 😉👍
Good video mate. Like you I bought the trident early on in the season so it's had a good few months running. It really does do a good Job of ridding the fines but I find it needs cleaning every 2 days, there is no way around it. Personally I do think it needs some ammendments to like what you have created here with the original eazy. More holes/slats lower down on the trident and also more holes/slats on the inner chamber near to the top as I find the top of the micro k1 is unused.
That's great Dave. Cheap solution indeed. See you tomorrow at the show.
Nice one dave, I think I'm going to go down this route for my easypod for my tank house, thank you for sharing and catch you soon
Nice video Dave 📹. Hope to see 👀 you Sunday 👍 😀
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great idea Dave 👍🏼
Every nexus owner is ordering duct tape now 😂
😂😂 I should’ve brought shares before posting this video 😉
Nice one dave!! 😉👍
Eden Koi Pond - proud sponsors of Gorilla tape😜🤣
Great video Dave, I'm sure it will help other Nexus owners out there. Cue the email in the morning 😜🤣 "Dave, we need to talk"😅
😂😂😂😂
Interesting idea using the duct tape. Wonder if it would work on an Eazypod, after all it is basically an Eazy from the Nexus without the outer bio chamber.
I reckon it would. The hardest bit with a pod would be getting the tape on 👍🏼
It would be handy to know how this would work on an Eazypod as I'm running 2 in line after the vortex....I could have the 1st one set up like this that then feeds into my 2nd pod running as is......Any pictures or info on ppl who have done an Eazypod would be welcome...Great vid and idea btw
I’ll keep you posted. A few people with pods have said they’ll try it and I’ll let you know how they get on. The hardest part will be getting the tap on 👍🏼
Great video Dave I’m gonna definitely give this a go is it easy to remove the centre chamber of the nexus out
Literally 30 seconds 👍🏼 Give it a little twist as it comes out 👍🏼
Good idea does it clean ok? Electricians tape is much better underwater that stuff peels off after a few months in my experience 👍🐟 guna try it
Tapes not budged - just need to get the waterproof one 👍🏼 Cleans a treat, I only boil the eazy once and I’m good to go. Let me know how you get on 👍🏼
The tape you show in the vid isn't the waterproof one? Any chance of putting the Amazon link in the video description, I want to use the one you have tested mainly from the leaching chemicals or not as it seems point of view.
Now you have me wondering if it would work as well on an eazypod
I’ve been looking and I don’t see why not!!
@@edenkoipond the only problem would be wrapping the easy as it's fixed and too small to get a roll of tape in the outer ... fiddly job
@@skeggy Would you put the tape on from the bottom half or the top half on an Easypod?
@@tinahuckins9635 I'd do it the same way. It idea is to force more water going up through a thicker bed of media
@@skeggy Sorry call me thick but is that tapeing the bottom half or the top half?
👍
What is the flow are you using mate ?
My nexus returns run at around 9500 litres per hour 👍🏼
Nice idea but there's not a great load on that filter with the amount size of fish in there 18 inch plus koi produce the finest I have 10 this this.
How much media do you have in your Nexus and what size air pump are you running on it?
I run a 120lph Charles Austen pump. Media wise I have a total of around 250 litres made up of k1, k1+ and helex 13 👍🏼
@@edenkoipond
Thanks for that I wanted to make sure I got a pump powerful enough
