    Sir, You're doing a real good job!
    Please keep up the good work.
    I am really amazed that you've such low subsrcibers taking into consideration the quality of your videos.
    Please focus on some advertising if possible and if you're not doing this for money and just to help students. You aren't less than a Faithful Good Teacher.
    I too, know how much effort and practice it takes to be proficient with your videos on RUclips or a website.

      It isn't a matter of being humble. I know the videos are generally of high quality. Advertising revenue for a site of my size is not significant. I often use other people's material in my videos and I could not do this if I monetize. So for instance in the Entropy video, there is advertising for the clip that I borrowed for the music video, but the revenue would go to the people that made the music video. What do I get out of making the videos? 1) They make my day to day teaching far more enjoyable and less stressful. 2) I feel appreciated when I receive the many sincere thank you's from viewers. 3) I enjoy making the videos, and it has become a hobby. 4) It opens numerous opportunities for me.

      Chris Doner you could most definitely use others people's material if your videos were monetised. Monetisation doesn't affect fair use. So I'd recommend you look into that

    Hi, Mr.Doner! I am loving your videos to study for the IB exams. I was telling my class about you and I just found out that you were a teacher at my school (Chapel School SP) !!!!!     Hi, an amazing video. I just have one question. At 12:29 you state that the potential energy of the hotter body decreases, but how so? Does the potential energy not increase as there are lesser vibrations as temperature decreases and so there is more attraction between particles? eg when water is frozen it turns to a solid which has more PE and lesser KE. So, does PE (bonding) increase as particles are further apart or does it decrease? Thank you.

    Could you kindly elaborate more on the definition of potential energy? Isn't potential energy the energy stored in a particle? How does bonding come in....?

      Potential energy refers to how much energy something has by virtue of its position in a field. If a mass is high in the gravitational field of the Earth, it can fall along way, and has a lot of potential energy.

    Hello Sir!
    The answer for the question "For two objects to be in thermal equilibrium they must ... be at the same temperature" would be completely acceptable if you didn't explain so well about the potential and kinetic energy. Namely, we know that the temp. is the measure of the avg. kinetic energy, so it means that for objects that have the same temp. it must be that they have the same EK. However, what about potential energy? What if that one is different (different bonding for example). Why don't we take in consideration also that when talking about equilibrium?

      Heat only flows when there is a difference in temperature, and temperature is proportional to the average KE. We are not talking about flow of molecules, just energy, so the bonding had nothing to do with whether heat flows. Different bonding can change how effectively heat can flow between two substances but not whether it can flow. This effectiveness is not a simple relationship like the proportionality between rate of heat flow and temperature difference.
