Thank you for breaking this down! My flavor of neurodivergent brain will not absorb this information but I love to find a video I can circle back and reference that answers many questions. My sister recently got into purived of of TikTok adds and that clued me in it might be overpriced. Sure enough looked it up and it’s so similar to the “Jack’s classic” houseplant fert I’ve been using for 20 plus years. It’s not fancy but we used it in nurseries and I’m just used to it - comes in different formulas but I like both the 15-30-15 and the 20-20-20 for houseplants. Never burned anything. Have you ever used Jack’s - I would really be interested to see your take on the ingredient comparison and the price difference with no social media influencer backing
@@VonPatzy my flavor of neurodivergent picks up fertilizer breakdowns easily but I can’t understand light to save my life. Jacks is pretty good stuff. The 20-20-20 doesn’t have cal mag and I want to say cobalt or copper in it that foliage pro does. I haven’t looked into the others but I can. It is good stuff and was reasonably priced last time I checked.
I use dynagrow wow this stuff is real the grow in hydroponics is real.graat stuff plants i grew in d.w.c bucket grow is unreal grows like a weed or rocket
Hi there, I’m new to gardening. Great video, entertaining and informative but I remain with one question. Would either of these 2 fertilizers suffice in fulfilling the nutrient requirements for fruiting plants? In other words, are these fertilizers all-purpose, and can I utilize them for my veggies, or is the formula inadequate for my needs and rather pertinent for the needs of flowering plants? Thanks in advance.
They could work but dynagro actually makes a fertilizer for flowering. It’s called Dyna Gro Bloom. This is specifically made for foliage however it does have everything a plant needs to grow.
The only true nutrients super thrive lists is .1% nitrogen if I remember correctly. It also has indolebutyric acid and naphthaleneacetic acid both of which are hormones used in tissue culture to help roots grow.
@@atlplantroomthe only essential nutrient (N) in their formula is derived from the kelp. Their ingredients do also list these b-12 hormones bc they are root stims, however their full proprietary blend includes other vitamins and nutrients they do not share since it’s a sort of industry secret :) def a legit product that industry landscapers and horticulturalists use as a catch all quick fix. Thanks for this in-depth analysis
@@jenniferhuff3623 the problem with organic is most organic fertilizer only have one nutrient. There are only a few that have multiple. I’ve been using Neptune’s harvest recently because it has the main 3 and a couple micronutrients too. That’s what I’d recommend simply because of that. It also doesn’t have a smell compared to other organics
You could absolutely alternate them! Something that isn’t talked about enough is changing out what we use on occasions especially when a different product has different ingredients. I don’t think plants have taste buds but I like to imagine they get tired of eating the same exact thing all the time. Could you imagine eating pizza or a chicken salad every day for months? Blah.
So helpful!

No need to choose. Dynagro's/Superthrive's "Grow" formula has both Boron and Cobalt.
Dyna Gro is now under the brand name Superthrive. The labels changed on the outside but no change to the famous formulas on the inside. 😉
Thanks for the info! I thought it hadn’t changed but wasn’t 100% sure
I use suppperthrive been growing 30 years, have over 100 plants, and have been using dyna grow for a few years , snake oil Not......😢

OMG YOU ROCK!🎉 THANK YOU!!🪴
You’re welcome ☺️
When you mentioned whether either of these were better than organic fertilizer you said no… What organic fertilizer would you recommend?

I think you are beautiful. Thank you for the video.
Thank you 😊
Would we get the most benefit from alternating them? Or using a mix of both of them at the same time? Humm.

There is actually only 17 oz in the supposed 20 oz bottle of Purive. Even less value and actually a rip off 😡
@@painterlynne wow! no way! SMH that’s so messed up
B52 is better
Oh? I’ll definitely check it out!
