1:13 Is among the top 10 greatest moments in RUclips History.
I concur
7 years later and this statement is still true
Jobs never made any workable technical stuff. What he was good at was getting other people to do it then stealing the credit. In this case (as in many others) he screwed Steve Wozniak.
So true. Jobs couldn't engineer his way out of a paper bag.
I am so jealous! ;_; You have all the Mario figurines on your TV screen. I gotta get those figures for my room someday.
The fuck is this comment
If you guys hate him so much, why do you watch?
Hunter the Hunter Seriously, if you have a problem, you don't have to be on his videos
his video is still good
Shut up doc
Part 1-4 well done, very informative and a pleasure to watch. I look forward to the rest of this miniseries.
I love ur videos Chris. I can't wait to see the next one
You played Pong against yourself is straight up hilarious! I loved Breakout and the variations. Even to this day there are modern Breakout clones for smart phones, tablets, PC and consoles. I loved Tetris as well.
I think these history of video game videos are the best things the irate gamer does... he should release them more often! I don't want to wait an entire year for the next vid.
I love IG's wacky three stooges style humour.
Like 8 years ago Angry Video Game Nerd fan boys got angry because he was more popular on youtube.
It's evident all the effort you put in these videos. Good job, bro.
Hey dude
Did you that Nowan Bushnell also founded Chuck E Cheese's???
Its True!!
"JOWES?"....i love that movie, one of Shpielburgs best.
You mean Sweven Shpielburg right? 🤣
Ahhh! I found it!
Another great presentation from Chris Boores! Keep up the great work, sir!
9:49
Wow Chris, be careful the next time of what you are doing, because i know you used MAME
what?
lava bite
What, you dont get it yet? There is a blue crosshair
really funny, cant await the next part!
Ouch! You said Breakout was engineered by Steve Jobs. Nooooo! That's about the worst historical mistake you can make, considering how Wozniak not only worked like a mad-man BUT also got stiffed his due rewards. Don't take away the credit for the game too. ;-)
+David Natiuk Actually yes steve jobs did make a version of it that was so complicated they had to throw most of the work out. Its a very humorous story thats' in the complete history of video games book. pick it up, its worth it
Fun fact: nintendo (the legend of video games) did some toys ans cards but they did there first console which is actually FUCKING PONG until they did acarde games and console games like nintendo entertainment system, super, gamecube, wii, wii u and switch
Lol, brilliant, no wonder it took you 2 months, love the steeple chase scene, a bit like the frogger one I've done in my latest vid :o)
great video Chris! I love this series!
This was a very welcome birthday present for me. :) I'm a fan of the show, and I especially enjoy learning new things with your History Of Video Games mini-series. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for this series of videos, before that, there was not enough detailed video content about pre-Atari 2600 stuff
It's now been 1 year since this was posted. At this rate, Irate Gamer will constantly be around 35 years behind...
I LOVE this series to bits... Could you please, once you've created its last part, put them all in a playlist so the individual parts are easier to find? TiA! AWESOME JOB!
Awesome video history of the early game industry.
I think I have an idea of what will come in part 5.
Atari 2600, Space invaders...Pacman, Donkey Kong...CRASH of 1983.
Wow this is entertaining and educational!!! I never knew magnovox made pong consoles!!!
part 5 Chris? come on !!
This is my first time watching this and every time the horse race comes on screen I fucking lose it lol
So, 3/4 of a year later, where's Part 5? PLEASE CONTINUE!!! This and the actual Irate Gamer show are your best stuff, and it's the stuff that comes out the least. WHY?!!!
"Coming up in Part 5, the video game world is changed forever."
Fourteen months later...
I must say I'm really impressed with the number of classic game consoles you appear to own...
i lol'd at the small coloured running irate gamers
Can't wait till pt. 5 man his history bids r awesome and funny

Hello Chris, very entertaining, interesting and well made video. For the third part in a blog series about the History of Interactive Computergraphics on wigglepixel nl I included a link to your video and to your RUclips channel for people to also discover your videos. Thanks for this very illustrative video and keep up the great work!

very interessting watch. Look foward to part 5
We had the 2600 version of Steeplechase. My dad and I found that if you didn't pick a horse, you could just let the game go and, viola, Video OTB. :D
0:01 Thumbs up to skip ads because he's done a good job!
yeah where is part 5? did you upload it yet?
great video
i waited this long for a 10min video..
Ive been sick in bed all fucking week and this is the funnyest thing ive found haha :). Thankyou i love it when he swears like SHHEEETTTTT hahah
really interesting, i love it!
I remember the machine shaped like a shark. I think it was called "Maneater" and I think it was only 10 cents to play but I could be wrong on that. And, I remember when we got Pong, it was just one of the copy-cat versions, but no one cared. Everyone was like "we got Pong". "Do you have Pong?". "Did you get Pong yet?"
Part 5 dude.
breakout was designed by Steve wozniak
IMAGINE A GARAGE SALE AT THIS GUYS HOUSE! "MOMMY, CAN YOU BUY ME THIS MAGNAVOX ODDYSSEY 300?"
1:13 on that tiny thing I wonder how it fit 6 people plus a ghost, lol. Might be the 1st one to have when the same game mechanics next to each show on each screen. Like racing or biking game at summit in Colorado Colorado spring where I live, don’t know why that idea came from. Any one knows comment back we would like to know.
It's great to see how far we have come with video gaming.
Irategamer > everything else.
@mrcolegreat2 So will it be out in the winter that hasn't ended yet or in the winter that hasn't started yet?
I lol'd so hard at the horse racing, haha xD
This series is really interesting.
Fun fact home Pong was actually sold in the sorting goods section since it sad considered to be an electronic version of tennis.
I assume you're going to be talking about the crash of '79 next?
gotta run .... was fun ....later~
yo irate whens part 5 coming?
Now all we need is Part Five.
