The Easiest Way To Check AA Battery Charge

When it comes to testing AA batteries, the drop test is a quick and easy way to see if a battery is still good or not. To do the drop test, simply hold a AA battery over a hard surface (like a table) about 2 inches off the ground, and then drop the negative (flat) side of the battery onto the surface. If the battery bounces or falls over, it’s likely no good. But if the battery thuds onto the surface and stays standing, it’s probably still good.
