How Police are Trained and What to Do During a Traffic Stop

The Plano Police Department in partnership with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement adhere to the Community Safety Education Act (Senate Bill 30) by requiring peace officers to go through a 2-hour training course on how to interact with the public as well as requiring 9-12 graders to watch the following video on how to interact with law enforcement during a traffic stop and what to do. This course continues to be provided to all incoming recruits.
