Dude, that'd be badass. The battle is tough, and the allies are losing. Suddenly, ulamog lets out a wretching wail, and falls dead. In his place stands Garruk, and all the planeswalkers simultaneously crap themselves seeing arguably the most dangerous person in the multiverse take down a plane-devourer. Garruk simply looks at the planeswalkers, signaling that they're next.
just as a side note. correct with the "recent history" comment, but Urza Planeswalker was also noted to do this. he transported a whole realm of refugees from the dying realm of Serra when the Phyrexians were stealing the artificial planes mana.
with the previously mentioned feat, he specifically accomplished this with use of Wheatherlight but he built Wheatherlight and was also noted transporting handfuls of groups with a spell that made them 2 dimensional and able to pass through the Blind Eternities with Urza at their side
I think, summoning other beings is a skill of some planeswalkers, as Garruk summons his beasts (which is different to this case) and also Ob Nixilis used to summon conquered armies to conquer other planes until he was cursed, I believe.
+DuskYagami Well I don't know about Garruk, I'm not that familiar with his story, but Ob Nixilis pre-curse was also pre-mending, old planeswalkers could basically do whatever they wanted. No other planeswalkers have shown this ability since the mending, so if Kiora can then it might be significant to the mending or the story on a larger scale, or maybe not, who knows.
The music "Under the sea" from Little Mermaid have made my day :D Kiora may planeswalk away in grief, thinking that she will make situation even worse if she stays
she's a planeswalker with a gods weapon from the last plane she came from 1. gods don't like being stolen from 2. planeswalkers have a nasty habit of instinctively planeswalking when their life threatened 3. the last other plane she was on is the gods home
+trexzilla Well that is what Tarkir block was about, but time travel has very rarely worked well in MTG story history. But I do believe Karn used to time travel so maybe if he comes back.
The darkness took her, man that could mean so many things. The obvious possibility is that she is dead but it could be something else. She could have planeswalked away from danger or something could have corrupted her. Hmm..what if Kozilek corrupted her and she become some kind of Eldrazi summoning/connected planeswalker and she at a later set is able to summon Emrakul or be something like his servant (like a Silver Surfer to Galactas). That would be pretty awesome IMO.
In my opinion, Kiora is not dead, more likely unconcious on the ocean floor. Her merfolk friends (or at least her sister's friends) won't let her die just like that. She will probably come back some day for a new reason, maybe as a member of the gatewatch.
I will be interested to see what colors Kiora returns as. Will she become a beacon of Hope and humility adding white to her pallette, or will she succumb to the darkness of death, raising those fallen to fight once more as a black Planeswalker. Either way, I believe it would be very interesting to see Kiora become a tri-color.
in ur video about garruk you mentioned on multipul occasions he too could summon beasts from diffrent realms and in his backstory he even summoned a greta wurm fromk beneath the earth. love your vids just saying there is atleast one other who summons creatures from diffrent planes
I just really hope they dont wait till after the next set to tell what happens to her. i think she is one of the most 3 dimensional walkers they got right now.
Andrew Turner Well, she threatened to kill Jace from preventing her from killing herself and the others, keep acting like a cocky douchebag towards each and every person she comes across and overall thinks she's a big fish (heh) just for taking the bident of some half-arsed deity anyone can become and then bailing out ASAP.
Andrew Turner Well, true, he did invade her head without permission. Still, she even warned the others that she'd rather just get rid of them if they were to not agree with her plan, do their own stuff and potentially hinder her from charging in like a maniac. Not exactly cooperative, nice behavior.
The goddess Thassa that Kiora got the weapon from, will pick Koira up for sure xD now that she have learned her lesson (feels like gideon experince when he got his spark) :3 Theory :For the goddess for sure have a connecting with the weapon and have just been watching and waiting... Could this be? May be ploting: Any god could use a planewalker and make her or him a follower so the planewalker could make more followers of the god on other planes XD And she is the goddess of could this be? or does it only work on Thoros? Could angles jump planes like demons? If so could the goddess not do so to? Like the angels get worshiped/pray to, so do the god by her followers/worshipers? :3
+Miguel Galvez Petersen (IceVoidSoldier) What demon jumped planes? Unless you mean Ob Nixilis, he's not really a true demon, he was once a human and a curse gave him a demonic body. As far as angels and demons being able to planeswalk, i don't believe they can. It's been covered in the past that both are just physical manifestations of mana and that the chaos of the blind eternities would literally rip them apart.
what i wrote before was out of memory x3. have tried to look through what i could find... don't know anything about the blind eternities so not sure if it will "rip them apart" but "MTG Lore: The Helvault" video says that they are attracted to human souls... so where did they come from? xD oh yeah manifestations... :3 but Liliana is look for the demons she made a pact with to kill, so why so hard to find them? One would remember which plane one made the pact? Demon attracted to human souls so manifest on the plan one at a time, maybe a subclass of planewalking?
+Lornext Honestly, I'd say she's more green than blue. She's not about control or careful manipulation, she likes big creatures. Her strategy, as explained here, is: "Hit it with a stick. If that doesn't work, get a bigger stick." Heck, so far the only thing that's really blue about her is that everything she summons is a sea creature.
In the M:tG multiverse Death is not absolute. Even if she died, it's not an ending but a change. Perhaps some necromancy is what's called for, perhaps it's just unconsciousness or a Planewalk at the last second.
+Carlos Estocapio I kind of want a spin-off with them doing evil shenanigans and doing slapstick comedy together. Like, the over-serious and zealous Nicol trying to get the goofy, over-emotional Obby to take things serious and constantly cleaning after him.
i doubt she's dead. she's probably a little depressed and doesn't know what to do next so she's probably just gonna lay at the bottom of the sea for a while thinking about what lead up to the moment of her defeat.
+SeibenMTG Here's a Logic Knot (pun intended): Karn can reset planes on paper, and with the Eldrazi titans in a physical form on Zendikar, could Karn not reset Zendikar and the broods with it?
+Jordan Randall McKendrick If Karn did reset the plane I don't think it would help Zendikar much as I suspect the Eldrazi have been around long enough to adapt to something like that, possibly even targeting Karn after the plane got reset.
+johnnyscifi Except that Elspeth was around much longer, got a momentous death (as opposed to Kiora who at this point is just a side character), and that she's not really dead in that he's still in Erebos.
ahhhh I'm so forgetful sometimes. Yet, I still believe they are different. Garruk summons like generic beasts that he actually creates.. they are parts of his very soul. Kiora can summon and transport things that have always exsisted, like Lorthos.
+SeibenMTG I still think he hunts them to add to his trophies/companions. I'm thinking when he went to shandalar he defeated the beast he came for and them later used on liliana.
+Wesley Epperson ok nm. according to the comic he absorbs the defeated beasts into himself. so I guess I'd different. kiora companions remain independent
I thought kiora's transportation ability was how creatures were summoned in the game... Lorewise, we players are planeswalkers, no? How does it work then, when we summon a creature or an artifact? I always thought it was a natural ability all planeswalkers had, but I'm still new to the MtG lore, so I don't understand everything
+Darth Olimar Well yes, but Sorin, Ugin, and Nahiri lured them to Zendikar, so couldn't they bind one of them, and transport it to Theros, so the rest would follow.
Max Wu mechanically speaking the titans are stronger than the gods true the gods cannot be destroyed but the eldrazi exile things and if mechanics are anything to go by that would prove the titans are stronger.
emoteen011 Well yes, mechanically speaking the Titans would decimate the gods, but on Theros the gods are well, gods. Also, back during original Zendikar the power level of cards was much higher. And none of the modern eldrazi exile besides Ulamog's ability, which is a one-time thing. Also, the Titans are outnumbered 5 to 1.
Max Wu whislt i appreciate that remember two things 1 the gods of theros are constructs of the populations thoughts. 2. what eldrazi actively manipulate thoughts and warps them to their bidding? answer the same one that just by being on innerstrad warped hundreds if not thousands of minds to her bidding.
Ugh every player (planseswalker) can summon the strongest beast from all planes even though they are crushed Hah Teffari slowed time but we can reverse it entirely
If wizard dont wana kill nonhuman planeswalkers then why they have to kill xenagos that satyr god who just bring whole plane to chaos!? Xenagos is my favorite planeswalker even no he is dead. Please tell me if him is still alive because it would be awesome. :/
Lorthos wasnt even that strong...only an 8/8...hell, arixmethes is stronger, and i dunno...what the polar kraken, at 11/11, hell, even dominarias leviathan is stronger. 10/10...kiora shouldve done her research...
She probably drowned! Except that fact that she;s a Merfolk, so yeah she's alive.
You know what would be cool? Garruk deciding he wants to hunt the Eldrazi. He -being the total badass that he is- would put up quite a fight I reckon
+Groot that would be awesome
Groot
Holy crap yes. I'd love to see him make this epic jump from a mountain, raising his axe and just burying it in Kozilek's head...
just as a side note. correct with the "recent history" comment, but Urza Planeswalker was also noted to do this. he transported a whole realm of refugees from the dying realm of Serra when the Phyrexians were stealing the artificial planes mana.

6:54 Except that's not true either, since people are resurrected so often.
The music "Under the sea" from Little Mermaid have made my day :D
Kiora may planeswalk away in grief, thinking that she will make situation even worse if she stays
i think she planeswalked while unconscious and is going to wake up somewhere new and feel like she can never return out of shame.
she's a planeswalker with a gods weapon from the last plane she came from
1. gods don't like being stolen from
2. planeswalkers have a nasty habit of instinctively planeswalking when their life threatened
3. the last other plane she was on is the gods home
kiora is a &$#@ing merfolk, she can breath under water genius
I feel like time travel will be a thing in one of the upcoming sets
+trexzilla Well that is what Tarkir block was about, but time travel has very rarely worked well in MTG story history. But I do believe Karn used to time travel so maybe if he comes back.

Great vid
I think Kiora failed to realize that an Eldrazi Titan is stronger than a Theros god...
in ur video about garruk you mentioned on multipul occasions he too could summon beasts from diffrent realms and in his backstory he even summoned a greta wurm fromk beneath the earth. love your vids just saying there is atleast one other who summons creatures from diffrent planes

Dumbest... maybe... "assholeest" naw. pretty much any black on is worst lol
Well I mean would you be ok with someone jumping into your mind and changing it. She even warned him... but Jace stepped up. that was on Jace.
Andrew Turner Well, true, he did invade her head without permission. Still, she even warned the others that she'd rather just get rid of them if they were to not agree with her plan, do their own stuff and potentially hinder her from charging in like a maniac.
Not exactly cooperative, nice behavior.
+Zakading correction nissa is by far the stupidest
The goddess Thassa that Kiora got the weapon from, will pick Koira up for sure xD now that she have learned her lesson (feels like gideon experince when he got his spark) :3

thank you for mentioning my question^^ i appriciate it *like, share* ;-D
I try to answer every question, a select few into videos lol
The story has been amazing, especially interactions with Kozilek.
Where does some of the art you display like on 2:51 come from? are they cards?
I want a mono blue Kiora.
+BionicKing and that she's a merfolk
BionicKing I have never seen a green Merfolk in Magic.
Lornext By that logic, it's also reasonable to have a green counterspell as long as it has an elf in the art, or red resurrection goblin.
BionicKing Yes, thus- Kiora should be mono blue as I was saying in the first place.
Rip Venser and his teleporting abilities
In the M:tG multiverse Death is not absolute. Even if she died, it's not an ending but a change. Perhaps some necromancy is what's called for, perhaps it's just unconsciousness or a Planewalk at the last second.
...Is it just me, or was that "Under the Sea" I heard at the end???
Haha very clever.........
xSkye629x
Under da sea!!!
Urza pulled Xantcha through planes with him
In reference to Kiora's ability**
Love th under the sea music
Honestly out of all the "villains" I really like Ob. It takes a real sick and twisted person to release a Eldrazi Titan.
Like nissa?
+Coltin Yancey lol that was funny but she's not exactly a "villain".
+Carlos Estocapio I kind of want a spin-off with them doing evil shenanigans and doing slapstick comedy together. Like, the over-serious and zealous Nicol trying to get the goofy, over-emotional Obby to take things serious and constantly cleaning after him.
I kind if like Tezzeret.
i doubt she's dead. she's probably a little depressed and doesn't know what to do next so she's probably just gonna lay at the bottom of the sea for a while thinking about what lead up to the moment of her defeat.
shes just like those animes where they are on brink of defeat in there mind they will fall into dark ess but soon rise again later some time
I wonder if they'll make her a different color combo because the darkness took her. maybe black blue or tri color sultai would be cool.
Maybe Temur because Kosilek is red-blue. :3
Sutai colors are my favorite so I would vote for that.
+Dylan Schaffel The eldrazi have no colors, but if they did kozilek would probably be U/B/R
I would rather have blue black white for control
tru
So im wondering did anyone pull that octopus, that Kiora summoned? that be kind of a cool card to see in this block, but will see i guess...
Actually, that octopus is in the old Zendikar block, not this one.
that cool ill have to look it up.
Kiora is back boiissssss
Next up on uncharted realms: "Karn on Zendikar"
I would be so happy lol
+SeibenMTG Here's a Logic Knot (pun intended):
Karn can reset planes on paper, and with the Eldrazi titans in a physical form on Zendikar, could Karn not reset Zendikar and the broods with it?
+Jordan Randall McKendrick
If Karn did reset the plane I don't think it would help Zendikar much as I suspect the Eldrazi have been around long enough to adapt to something like that, possibly even targeting Karn after the plane got reset.
+coolnobodycares Hey, it sends them away.
+Jordan Randall McKendrick Only because there is a power greater than Zendikar mana to hunt.
These are really cool, where do you get these stories from?
+Jack Lemnus magic.wizards.com/en/articles/columns/official-magic-fiction-archive
wizards official site, uncharted realms
Yaaay! New lore!
I doubt she's dead.
They wouldn't spend so much time setting up her character in the last few years only to throw her away.
Like they did with Elspeth...?
johnnyscifi
touche
+johnnyscifi Except that Elspeth was around much longer, got a momentous death (as opposed to Kiora who at this point is just a side character), and that she's not really dead in that he's still in Erebos.
awesome video mate. when do you think she'll be revived. I think she'll be back as a risen black blue merfolk.
under the sea...how...appropriate.
Nice use of the Little Mermaid theme there. XP
Let no joyful voice be heard. Let no man look up into the sky with hope. And let this day be cursed by we who ready to wake the kraken.
Dyes game of thrones reference nice
She is definitely alive. I know it.
There is still another legendary zeebeast on Zendikar, Wrexial. Or has it died already?
there's nothing saying it has died, but Lorthos is noted as being the largest on Zendikar. If he failed, all others would as well.
Ah, but it's not the size that counts...
its all about CMC
thassa must be my favourite god and kiora is my favorite planewalker
Kiora's transportation ability is how summoning creatures worked originally, before there was a storyline and before the Mending.
If she has some powers of pre-mending walkers, what will Bolas think?
I'm pretty sure garruk can summon beasts
ahhhh I'm so forgetful sometimes. Yet, I still believe they are different. Garruk summons like generic beasts that he actually creates.. they are parts of his very soul. Kiora can summon and transport things that have always exsisted, like Lorthos.
I was going to say this too :)
+Wesley Epperson perfectly explained, thanks for that!
Didnt she steal that trident, which gave her her mass summoning abilities!?
I thought kiora's transportation ability was how creatures were summoned in the game... Lorewise, we players are planeswalkers, no? How does it work then, when we summon a creature or an artifact? I always thought it was a natural ability all planeswalkers had, but I'm still new to the MtG lore, so I don't understand everything
Lorthos ! Noooo, really wanted to see a new card depicting him :/
yeah me 2
gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=108910
+22freedom33 I know :( but they basically had to use him to show how ridiculously powerful Kozilek is.
Lorthos got rekt!!!
Then again, were you surprised?
well she is a merfolk, so i don`t see her drown or something, that mean she is alive
I thought all planewalkers could summon monsters
Maybe she returns with a new color combination maybe black and blue
Hopefully she comes back with some humility. One of my favourite Planeswalker, I still think she must kill Kozilek.
Without a shadow of doubt she's alive
Where is he art from of the false titan gods? The three statue figures idealized?
Wait, why don't they lure the eldrazi to Theros, and have all 15 gods fight them.
I fell like if they thought they had the ability to lure them to it they would have.

Hubris strikes again!!
There needs to be a block that is Eldrazi vs New Phyrexia. Preators vs Emrakul & new titans.
That would be epic!
She's probably still around.....
I think she fid a monster in the beeps water
Does anyone have any theory's about emrakul and where hes at
So Kiora's "swimming with the fishes"? ... Sorry, had to say it! XD
+killerjoke2945 well played sir, well played
please, please, PLEASE do the 15 God cards!
she's going to come vack as a black spell
Could you please tell us about Koth?
And so did her ego 😅😅😅
Ugh every player (planseswalker) can summon the strongest beast from all planes even though they are crushed
Hah Teffari slowed time but we can reverse it entirely
If wizard dont wana kill nonhuman planeswalkers then why they have to kill xenagos that satyr god who just bring whole plane to chaos!? Xenagos is my favorite planeswalker even no he is dead. Please tell me if him is still alive because it would be awesome. :/
No he is very much dead
Oh :C butt i already knew that and because that its ok to me.
phew..... shes not dead.... shes in outh fluff
oath of kiora
good good
Why do you say Kozalack?
No Lorthos... NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is kozilek, not kozilak
hey seiben, in mtg comics garruk can also capture creatures like in pokemon ^^"
nope she will be back just not for awile
Lorthos wasnt even that strong...only an 8/8...hell, arixmethes is stronger, and i dunno...what the polar kraken, at 11/11, hell, even dominarias leviathan is stronger. 10/10...kiora shouldve done her research...
Hi
kiora fucked up
so sad :(
What happened to fnl
exactly right, once OGW is live I'll have new cards to give out lol
Moo
