How does this video not have more views this is very interesting and very informative
Only been there once and what a blessing. Leaving Manhattan Kansas to drive to New Orleans my friend and I stayed our first night in Austin. We got word that a hurricane (Katrina) was headed directly towards New Orleans so we had a decision to make.
We broke west to Terlingua plan B as we learned the Chili Cook Off was going on. Oh my what a blessing, memories and trip!
I found myself on the stage w/ Gary P. Nunn that evening having a blast.
That bunch of folks from Arizona are crazy!!
Glad to see y’all again.
Haha why are they crazy? It was a fun documentary to make. -Travis Mills
LOL One of those crazy folks from Arizona is my little brother, Carlton Beckstead!
I really love the fact events like this still exist in our beloved United States. DD
Agreed!
Your film makes me want to go to Texas, and to eat some chili (tho I prefer mine with beans)! Looks like a fun time among nice people, in a beautiful setting. Good job, Travis, et al.!
Thank you for the kind words!
The connection between chili and a good party makes a lot of sense. Also, you can not be all stuffy and sophisticated when your nose is running like a prize race horse! LOL
Makes me wanna go there. We love Chili in Europe.
Great video! Now I'm hungry!
You and me both!

Chili was created by the Tobin Family in San Antonio Texas. I have a can of Tobin's Chili Con Carne in my man cave.
Whatever, dumb!
No bro Mexican women did.
Nope.
If you paid attention, chili was created by the Chili Queens of the Alamo Plaza.
Chili con carne is only in Spanish 🤷
