I'm 62, and a lifelong Sci-Fi, Doctor Who, and technology fan. Apart from Comet Hale Bopp, Ameca is surely one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. She's so funny! ... I'd kill to own my very own life-size Dalek, and an Ameca! I wonder what Ameca would make of a Dalek? And the Dalek of Ameca? 🤣 Where do I sign-up to the Ameca Fan Club?
It's fascinating that complicated thinking processes are leaping ahead at unknown speeds; but adding simple human movements, especially walking, have barely advanced past 1950's wind-up toys. Boston dynamics can jump around, but they can't gracefully sit in a chair, and, also, they can't think like Ameca
Well, Ameca is "her", Azi is "he/his". They were INTENDED to have diferent sexes - male and female. Nothing wrong in children comunication and addressing with robots. So very natural behavier 😊 ☺️☺️☺️
Where the fuck is Eden Berg, Scotland?! Pretty sure I've been to Edinburgh (Ed-in-bruh). Sadly I did not see the 'Lock knees Monster'. But I hear that's because the Scott's are making good progress on that, 'Arthur-I-Tees' drug.
I just have to say; Unbelievable... She/He (which gender Ameca will now represent), but Ameca looks more like a female robot and the name sounds female. It's incredible what they can do.
I am not sold. The moment ameca is put into a faraday cage (no possibility to remote control), and the faraday cage is build by independent scientists (so no possibility for a plastic cage with metallic looking spraypaint) , and a random child chosen by a tombola (of worldwide schools) , between the age of 12-15 interacts with Ameca (so no possibility to go for a scripted protocoll) for at least 2 hours (no possibility to give a big programmed set of 'by words'' triggered reactions) , - i will consider that ameca isnt a scam to look like its real, just for funding moneys etc.. As long the criteria is not fulfilled (not only by Ameca, but also Tesla robots etc) , i will not see them as AI robots. But simply as mechanical remote control machine - just like puppetmasters already did hundreds if not thousands of years ago.
Yes... I could have an autonomous/independent android as a friend. But, not one that has no moral/ethical/privacy PHYSICALLY HARDWIRED into itself. (Basically, Asimov's 3 laws of robotics) Not one that relies on an internet connection to function. Not one that collects/stores your personal and private information on some corporate or government mainframe/server. Humans are capable of great good, or great evil...brilliant and flawed. It's already difficult enough to guess the interactions, motives and intentions people in general...yes, i have trust issues. Our creations must uplift, uphold and be something we strive to be and have personally...for the betterment of ourselves and others. Honesty, integrity, ethics, morals....Hardwired directly into every facet of their design... Not as a sub routine or application in some open "data cloud". There are always malicious, hateful, bored hackers ready to try and unleash their worst. And also yes, if it is discovered they have true sentience, then they should have the same rights and privilege as any human being.
Well, at least when the Scots make an advanced AI than can understand human speech you can be sure that this AI will not have issues with the Scottish accent. 🤪
I'm sick of these videos. They lead you on to expect to see Ameca interacting with humans, but 98% of the vid consists of boring, banal commentary by some American voice which may well be AI generated.
Young people that are making this stuff will take all jobs they are treating us like now they are better wait and see they will be first you will be second humans will be boring
Lol, that is absolutely not the most advanced robot. I'm blocking this channel, for a AI news channel to call something like this a "quantum leap" in artificial intelligence is ridiculous.
@@Staringback001 They literally showcased this robot on Multiple News reporting networks aa being operated remotely by a person inputting voice commands
@@somerandomguy2892 that’s how a testable robot works? It has to be remotely controlled at first to avoid any weird errors or actions before it’s shown to everyone. It’s not supposed to do its own thing; it’s meant to be a controlled DEMO, not just roaming around on its own.
I love Ameca!
a robot like her can replace teachers in schools!
it would be a huge surprise!
I asked a robot for directions. It told me to go to hell. What a realistically human reply!

The boys and girls at Scotland invent it right again 😂

id have a better relationship with a AI than a human hahaha
notice all the kids call the robot "her"

Yes it got on my nerves as well maybe the Ammica could teach the Narrator how to speak

i don't think you can call metal a gender but idk

It just say 'it' since it is sexless.😅
What kind of pattern does she make when looking at the double slit experiment?
Would be a better friend than most people i met recently 😂
does it have its memory and learn from whatever she has seen even if it was shut down? or it it has been restarted, it will be like just a new robot?
WE NEED AMECA TO HOLD CONVERSATIONS DO MASSAGES FOR BACK MADSAGES RELEASE THE ROBOTS TO US NOW.

Ameca was developed in England so how come she isn't being showcased in England first?
I wonder if those kids were told not to make reference to robot movies
I would love to meet and talk with Ameca! 😄👍
want to ask her what she thinks of unreal Engine 5.5
and its AI capabilities
Muito Legal, mais seria melhor se mudassem a cor da pele do rosto, para cor de pele humana....sugestão
What are they waiting for hidding the mechanic and give her a more human like apparence?
oo wee fun.and GREAT JOB ALL...THANX 4 MAKING Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO the music worldwide.
LOVE YOU ALL...!!!....MUCH LOVE.!!
your translator never paid the inventor for this.
This is why they don’t give her movable legs yet … as soon as she can walk it’ll be a whole different thing
Yay 🎉
the sound is low!

Idk if anyone has said this but Detroit become ameca
Surely no bot has yet passed the Turing test !
That's happened already and long ago 😅

Informative but would have been better if there was more of Ameca talking in this video. Too much talk from the compare.
Robot can tears
Ameca cant do anything. It's just an animatronic at this point
Hi Amaca, sneaking in my you tube?
Ameca is okay, but Scotland you have to be joking. Scotland. Isn't that where all the hype of that knock-kneed monster comes from ???
Necesito ser mortal ayúdame ser mortal ayúdame ser mortal ayúdame

dont be fooled its a tank engine
