Exactly! I couldn't have put it any better! I'm always so impressed by Bryan's beautifully crafted videos in bringing awareness to missing people and for their loved ones. He's my favorite to watch on YT.⭐🏆⭐💓
I am Born and raised and lived in Gresham and Troutdale and went to college there. I have hiked dozens of miles in that area. The first thing I thought of was “she fell”. Those trails are so steep and rugged and you could end up in the bottom of a ravine and never be seen again.
Thank you for covering this. I live in the Portland area and remember the day it happened (we got snow either that night or the next day I believe). We’ve hiked from Multnomah Falls numerous times and I always think of Alissa. There are so many trails up there. My heart goes out to her family and friends❤️. I hope this case can someday be solved.
Bryan. Alisa was my friend. When I walked into my home & saw the news story running the day they announced her missing - was the day a part of me died. Alisa was.. she was the light. She was the friend who just did. You rarely ever had to express your need, she'd pick up situations quickly & jump in. She had intuition. She had strong family values & connection. We'd tease her every so often when she was at the house & we'd decide to order some Wall Street pizza from up the street & she saw the coming duskiness of sun setting & immediately call or text her folks where & who she was with. But we always new it was for safety and that was also another thing we appreciated so much about her character. She was very independent but in all honesty I just never pictured her there going alone. Especially so close to end of day. That her family didn't know where she was to be missing that long also screams red flags of foul play. She always had her phone with her like a second arm. My belief is that she was in Tigard Christmas shopping and something happened. Why else would her cell ping from there.. drive all the way to Multnomah Falls meaning thru Portland/Lake O/Gladstone etc without another ping.. I'd have really liked to have asked those hikers who were questioned about seeing her - what her mannerisms/voice sounded/looked like. That would give a dead tell if it was really her. They had search & rescue w/ tracking dogs, helicopter fitted with flir cameras & nothing. Granted it did snow but those all should have provided an outcome should she have been there. Was he purse/wallet found at the car? Her phone? Was her cell records ever subpoenaed to see her last contact's? Was she due to meet someone? Being single I could see that she might have met up with someone but last we talked there hadn't been anyone of interest. Plus it a Christmas. And I know her sights were set on Ethan, her folks & her pretty extensive friend group. Yes. Her brother & a gentleman who had been working on the home died tragically when the house exploded. The cause hash oil with butane being made. Matt had made it out of the house & apologized to the neighbor who's porch he ended up on saying he shouldn't have started the dryer.. he succumbed to his injuries. All of it was just another stab to the heart. More sadness to a family who were kind. They had been adopted from South Korea as young children. Matt was a blazers fan with season tickets. Alisa very active in the Timbers Army. We had met back when Ethan & Riley took a swim class at Montavilla. Riley had just started kindergarten. We stayed connected through school functions at Cherry Park. Soccer with David Douglas Community Sports program. I miss going to the movies with her. I miss her voice. I miss so much about my friend. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that she is absent from my prayer. I worry that there was foul play. With so much access to water thru steam & river I fear that's where she could have ended up. Seeing the they spotted her car from a camera at Multnomah Falls begs my question was it ever reviewed to see whom actually left the car? There's just so many ill fitting pieces that it has never sat right with me. I'm thankful I had her in my life. She made me a better person. And since her disappearance I've tried my best to pick up her reigns and continue her kindness to others. While I'll know deep in my heart I'll never fill her shoes I can be bevyed with the thought of that's how I'll keep her close. It's heart warming to read the comments of others who think about her & have the same feelings. Peace to you all & most especially.. Alisa wherever you may be I hope you're at peace..
I know that as women we hate to feel we are not free to do whatever we want. But when in the wilderness or anyplace thats deserted, we just shouldn't go alone.
I watch all your uploads and I don't think I have ever left a comment, but after watching this one, I felt compelled to do so. The EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT of respect that you show for these victims, the lost and their families is ABSOLUTELY BEYOND REPROACH!! It is such a rarity that I felt it needed to be said. You, my fine young sir are one of the most AMAZING HUMAN BEINGS I have ever had the pleasure and honor to get to know through your videos. Much Love and always Prayers from the Middleton family in Michigan 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝💝💝
I lived in Troutdale right at the end of the gorge. There are extensive hiking trails up and down river from the falls with many steep, thickly wooded cliffs. It would be easy to fall in the wrong spot and disappear.
@@nutcase1 Lol most likely yes, when people refer to people as ‘tweakers’, yes! But technically not all tweakers are addicts. Like, not all drug users are drug addicts! Lol
Portland girl here. I remember when this happened and thinking she probably had an accident of some sort, she’ll be found soon. Sadly this hasn’t been the case. My heart goes out to her family, friends, and her son. It’s so bizzaro. (Tigard is pronounced Tigerd like Tigers)
I grew up on the Columbia River in Oregon, lived in Oregon 27 years before leaving for Montana. I remember many people disappearing along the river. The river is very fast, deep and wide in the gorge. I recall one day in July 2000 I was fishing with a long time friend and we saw a very nice looking woman paddling a kayak about 50 yards off shore, matter of fact she waved at us. Few days later a woman matching her description was reported missing. Later after reports of others seeing this woman they started searching the river, they found the kayak , then they used drivers and found her body. The County Sheriff and coroner came to the conclusion she committed suicided by drowning....Strange, very strange.
I'm so glad you covered this! On the day that her car was found, we drove past Multnomah Falls, headed to the Mt Hood area via Hood River to go tubing in the fresh snow since it was Christmas week. We saw all of the activity there and thought it might be a training exercise, but when I got home, I searched for what happened and learned about her going missing. Over the years I've thought about her and I've always been surprised at how little coverage it's gotten. My first thought was slipping and falling, since the trails are so steep and it can be very slippery. I also thought that maybe she was abducted when she got back to her car. The parking lot is a literal on and off exit on I-84. You brought up some information that I hadn't seen before. I always enjoy your thoughtful and thorough takes on things, and this one in particular just because of the off-chance passing by Mult Falls during the search. Thank you, and I hope someday her family gets some closure.
I'm from Oregon, a few miles from Tigard. There's no way she went missing at Multnomah falls. I highly suspect foul play, unless she was injured on the trails under construction. I would love to help search at any time.
Thank you for covering this case.. this one hits very close to home she use to be my Dragon boat coach/ team mate... I remember this day so vividly.. I wasn't as close to her as others cause I was somewhat new to the dragon boat team but still I remember when we got the news she went missing. Thanks again for bringing awareness to these cases. Sending love to her family and son and friends. 💕
Thank you for another caring, respectful and detailed account of a missing hiker. Your presentation is very professional - your voice is well suited to the way you present also. I admire the way you are concerned about the missing people who received less media coverage. This helps bring awareness to cases where a person (persons) may be able to assist in some way. My deep condolences to Alissa's son, her parents, family and friends.
When we hear that someone who's active on social media, I hope she was telling her plans to friends only. People can be far too trusting, or they just want to share and it put things public on Facebook for example, where the wrong person could use said info for criminal intent. Like going on vacation... you might tell a few close people ahead of time, but I would suggest not telling ALL your real life friends via media, and certainly don't tell "friends" whom you've never met. And if you must share photos do it directly. Wait until you're back before you reveal you were on a vacation and that your home was sitting empty. DO NOT use social media to outline your plan details of where you will be and when , unless it's close friends and family only.
That is very very good advice! Really, I never thought of the risks involved by posting on social media. I thought a personal page needed a password ,not just anybody could view it. But hackers seem to be able to go anywhere they want. .Hearing Alyssas story, I got the thought that somebody had known where to find her or folllowed her that day and abducted her. She is a beautiful woman. I think if she was stalked, it was someone she didn’t know. Just a hunch..Every now and then I hear a story about a victim being held prisoner, and manages to get away. I hope she will be found and return to her family.
Crime and attacks on people are so rampant in Portland now. She was attacked while jogging and they took her and the car and dumped the car at Multnomah falls. She didn't go there on her own accord. It is not safe to be jogging alone in Portland right now.
I'm from the Portland area and remember this case specifically. By the way it's pronounced Tigard like Tiger with a hard D so. The part about this story that was sad was they found a body 2 or 3 days into the search but unfortunately it was another missing woman. To me this reeks of foul play. There are alot of missing women in the Pacific NW and I'm not sure if it's human trafficking or Sasquatch but alot of these women go missing in our forests. I've done quite a bit of research on these missing women and there are a ton of similarities in these cases. I was contemplating starting a channel dedicated to missing women just in our area. I think it would help bring awareness to the amount of women and children that go missing just in the Pacific NW alone, not to mention everywhere else in our country. If you would like a guide when you come to our beautiful state I would love to be of assistance along with tons of information on other missing women in our area. Just getting the word out in different platforms I feel is the best way to help bring these people home. I can tell you do this to help bring light to these people's stories and not to just have a successful RUclips channel. If you would like to take me up on my offer, go ahead and message me back and we can exchange info and hopefully team up while your here to help these families get closure on their loved ones. A sad note to this but Alissa's brother was killed in a explosion/fire in the Portland area on July 25th 2017. So their poor parents have been thru the ringer. They deserve to know what happened to their daughter.
you have great ideas about being a guide and starting a channel. I think you should do both..as a single woman wanting to hike I would welcome guide services
This is what I was talking about, covering the cases that doesn't get the attention other cases get. To me these cases are huge and being kept all too quiet. There is entirely too many people disappearing in these places. Makes u wonder if it's not the work of a serial killer... Thanks so much for bringing these cases to light.
People shouldn't go by themselves. Anything can happen from animal attacks, crazy humans, falling and getting hurt. It's the not knowing that must be hell for her family. I pray after all this time she is found safe somewhere. If not, I hope her body is recovered, for the family to get closure. Very sad, since she has a son.
I wonder if people get used to going out by themselves thinking it will be a quick walk/run. Alot of people who get found seem to be found off trail or injured she went missing in 2015
I see it a little differently. When I choose to go out alone, I understand the risks and am willing to be the ultimate responsibility for myself. That’s a decision I willingly make, and don’t make it without understanding the impacts.
I think that’s why in some cases the people are found so far from where they were or where they should be, sometimes with a map and going the wrong way is because something is chasing them. But when there’s 2 or more people it’s a game changer. I bet over 50% of all these missing go missing because of other people!
A fall could happen when running from someone, in panic. Also, during my many years in th automotive service industry we have dropped customers' cars in many usual and unique locations. Often we have met and driven customers to various locations. We were given a lot of trust with human life, which many rarely think of when trusting a "stranger" with their possessions. Suspects from repair shop, Cabellas or the bar.
Hi Bryan. There are many comments about your caring demeanor during your videos. I definitely agree with those statements. You do a great job presenting the story. I hope your success continues.
I was following this for years my heart goes out to her family. Every year and so many month I'd looked her up to see if anyone found her. I pray she's found 😢
I was there a few days after the big search and rescue effort. I decided to spend the day in the snow searching for Alisa but obviously had no luck finding her. I can say it’s extremely steep and difficult terrain, she could have fallen into a creek or a crack in the earth but if she was only going five miles she would have been rescued. There are many strange hillbillies out there, she could have been, most likely was abducted.
I live in Portland & some of the info you posted regarding Tigard Loop Trail, the car repair location, we’re not released by the police. It was on FB I think but not reported by media. I am very suspicious of foul play. Very sad case & you did a great job with the details Bryan. Thanks very much. ♥️✌🏽
This is such a sad story! There are so many people who have gone missing and never been found. My heart goes out to all of them and their families! 😢😢😢
So, the phone last pinged in Tigard? That’s sounds odd if she left there and went back, cause if your phone is one and you are driving it will ping on different towers on the way, if the phone wasn’t turned off off course. When we track phone pings it’s pretty easy to follow the phone thru towers if you are moving and you have the phone. So in my mind, she either turned the phone off (or someone) or something happened there. If she drove back and had the phone on her and it was turned on it should most definitely have pinged on the tower closest to her position. When follow a pinging with a phone in a car it’s easy to see that you are moving fast by how fast the phone changes tower, if you are moving by foot the changes in the pinging towers will not be as quick. This one smells very very fishy to me actually, there’s something not right here in my opinion. But I really really hope that she at least will be found and brought home, and further also get answers to what happened. My love and thoughts to her family and friends.
OMG, my ♥ just breaks for her and her son. I'm a single mother of a son too. I can't even imagine what he's going thru. This sounds so fishy, I think someone kidnapped her. Bryan you were probably a search and rescue guy in your past life, or a detective. You are such a true gentleman on how you present these cases. I will pray hard that someone out there will come forward with any information leading to finding her. Thanks again Bryan!!! Stay safe my friends
...beautiful horsetail falls there at the end, there's prettier water falls up the hill...though, our favorite hike on the gorge, the scenery takes your breath....
I live in Oregon but don't remember hearing about this.unfortunatly another girl gone missing. These cases are so troubling. It's just so scary because this could happen to any of us at anytime.
I stumbled across a video of yours a couple of months ago. I subscribed immediately. I have faithfully watched your beautiful, yet informative videos of the lost. I appreciate how you include people from all backgrounds ❤️ I would like to be included in the Halloween drawing. Thank you for all you do.
We have cougar and Bear that can carry you off for miles. So sad, The trails are wall one side and Drop the other. So hard to search and find anything. I am guessing Bear if it was before christmas.
@@mindmyown1 Probably at the latest. But what I'm aware of is early spring a baby would be up and very hungry. A middle aged Woman out in Vernonia Oregon was never seen again after going out foraging in the early spring. The father figure stated he feared it was a brown bear that mistook his spouse for a Deer.
@@mindmyown1 In Oregon our coldest is in Feb. Fall time they eat and Gorge themselves before Hibernating. Lots of Cougar here too, wolves and coyotes would leave scraps. Either way Very Sad.
This disappearance is reminiscent of most 411 cases. The lone person dissappears into the wilderness, without a trace. Search party is deployed, and search dogs do not pick up any scent. Major weather episode hits the search area. No body is ever recovered. Sounds like this person was taken by someone or something that may be able to move interdimensionally. Anything is possible, with these types of cases.... I think Paulides said to always carry a firearm and a beacon locator, when going to these national parks and/or wilderness locations.
Another thoughtful video, and sadly, so many unanswered questions. I believe foul play should be considered too. Also a fall or injury. Thanks again Bryan for another thoughtful video. Stay well. 🙏🙂
Maybe the person who abducted her was with her at mechanics. Someone from one of the activities she was involved. Reason police haven’t released info. It would have been dark when she headed out, winter, rain, cloud cover. Good shroud for abduction, fewer ppl around.
Yeah, lot of Serial Killers are out and about now. Police say we have anywhere from 5 to 15 SK's operating in Houston, Texas. Scary. I don't go out without a body guard.
Finally someone thinking right! I hate to say it but u gotta think like a predator! It’s almost too easy to get away with murder in the back country! TOO EASY!
I’ve hiked the trails in that area many times. During cold weather there are very dangerous ice slicks across the trail near the top of the falls. I’ve nearly gone off those falls in wintery conditions. It can be very dangerous in that area , ice and blind cliffs abound.
Thank you Bryan for keeping these beloved missing people cases alive. About 3 years ago in Roanoke, Va I remember reading in the local newspaper about a young female medical student that is a runner. She was doing her regular run on the greenway and a giant man got out of his car and began chasing her. She was too fast and got away. 6 weeks later she was on her regular run and the same giant man got out of his car and chased her again. She was too fast and got away again. My intuition tells me human trafficking and how easy it is to grab someone. Recently a mother cut open her teenage daughter's brand new bras and found tracking devices in them. I have read very disturbing ways that young people are tracked while the trackers are shopping for them. Including pregnant woman. This world is so crazy.
You have a great way of bringing important things to the public and I hope and pray that they do find this woman and bring her home as you said one way or the other. I would like to be considered for the giveaway on Halloween 🎃 if possible - it’s quite close to Halloween and I might be too late . Take care 😀
Thank you for the time you put into these, even if the information doesn't lead to finding some of these people you report on I can guarantee the families are comforted however small it may be to know they are not forgotten and that their names are known. I try to imagine if my daughters were missing, which obviously is incomprehensible but I know that to see your videos and thos like it would bring some light, however small into that darkness.
I was a search and rescue volunteer we went out immediately as soon as we heard my son-in-law and the three dogs we searched that place like a dog does and we had plenty of help and then the weather we had gone back several times over and over those areas after the snow had melted with the dogs we had a brush dog that was a brush hog that went in and found things we had a dog that wasn't alert dog that would let us know that if there was someone there then the brush dog would go in after that they also had a cadaver dog we all went over that area and found nothing we believe after searching both areas also the Mitchell Point Trail along the gorge we came up to the conclusion that she never made it to Multnomah Falls the car made it but she didn't something happened I don't believe that she fell off the trail because we went from the top down then from the bottom up. We did our best and so did everybody that was there and came up with nothing but that conclusion most SNR people believe that strange things had occurred nobody really knows what happened for sure my heart always goes out to the family and friends because knowing nothing hurts a lot more than knowing something about where they are I have moved to the coast can retired the one that Brian talks about that was found her name was Annie Schmidt we also were involved with that one that was a horrible situation the weather was bad, the train was steep and you would have had to Rappel down to find her that's what they did we sent the dogs down but they would not go down that steep so we went up from the bottom they could not find anything cuz they could not get up in there where she was at that was sad because we could have found her sooner if only the dogs could have got up there she was in a horrible place my condolences to the families of every one of the missing people and yes he does a great job of memorializing these folks my hat's off to you please keep it up.
That area is easy to fall and be swept away and never be seen again. It also is easy to just get lost and die of exposure. I took a detour there in 2016 when I thruhiked the PCT. I also just went through there on a roadtrip back in June.
BRYAN thank you for this video. You are so awesome with these videos. I knew you have a special intrest in these cases. It's coming from the Law Enforcement background. I think that's why I so enjoy this channel. I too come from Military and Law Enforcement. Thanks for all you do.
My thoughts are that her car was dumped at the falls. It’s not really a place to go running. Unless you’re into running up a trail where there are typically a few people. Also Tigard is in the opposite direction. There are plenty of places she could go running and not drive clear out to the gorge area. Idk, doesn’t make sense to me. I lived there for 20 years - those order of events would be more odd to me.
I also have family in Boring, Oregon!! What a gorgeous part of the Country!! One of my cousins over there just recently passed away! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family!! Especially her son!! 😟
Thanks for your balanced and meticulous analysis and stunning visual display! Your videos shine with compassion and must be a powerful source of comfort to the families and friends of the missing. Watching your presentations is a powerfully uplifting experience, in spite of the tragic situations as you describe. In Alissa’s case, I’m glad that you mentioned the possibility of foul play. It would be amazing if you could find some answers on your Oregon trip. I would like to participate in the Halloween giveaway, please.
This is criminal. If she regularly posted her day to day jogs, someone could have easily snatched her up on that day. Her car shouldn't be located that far from where she was last spotted by that couple. Though, it's also odd that she ignored their warning to turn back since she wasn't dresses properly. Makes you wonder if it was really her they saw. ( edit : Good luck to everyone on the giveaway! )
Hmm. Maybe someone who works at that auto shop happened to see her and took her from Manoka falls, took her to where he works or lives. She could still be alive in someone's home or shop, being held against her will. Poor woman. There are all kinds of possibilities here.
mountain lions and bears like chasing things running and especially alone. they bury their meals to eat for later and hide from other predators. mountain lions can carry things off a long ways away bears as well but a little lazier. i am not a fan of individuals going alone in any woods or reserves especially with out protection. no matter how many times you have done it in the past and returned, it only takes that one time to never return. hope they find her so the family can have closure.
Greetings from Washington Brian. I'm very familiar with Multnomah Falls as it's the main freeway from Portland OR, thru the Great Columbia Gorge to my home in Tri Cities WA. I've subscribed since you first started your channel. Your doing a Great Job & keep up the good work. I would Love to be entered into your HALLOWEEN Contest & btw, Thanks for throwing a Halloween give away ! This is my Absolute Favorite Holiday because I Love Candy !! Take Care, Stay Safe. 😄👍🙏 & ☮️
I would never hike alone and I don’t even go camping with other people anymore there’s too many strange people out there and when you’re out camping you’re very vulnerable you could disappear and no one would ever know
And as careless as everybody is these days the authorities may not even know where to start! It’s sad when the park rangers or workers from the gift shop have to call LE because of seeing the same car in the same spot several days in a row! People don’t understand that even in a wide open space where u can see for miles in any direction, u can only see so far. Like maybe a mile or less. Even then u only notice movement and are unable to define what ur looking at. Now throw in some hills, bushes, trees and u can’t see sh’””t. My point is, u can’t see what’s right around the corner or tree! I’d say half of these missing folks have runins with the worse this earth has to offer! Another human!
....hey Bryan, my boys and I hiked that train, a drop off and pick up hike, we'd start on larch mt., then its all downhill and it is 5 or 6 miles, its an easy hike but has a few hairy rockslides you have to side hill across, I turned an ankle on 1 of those slides, what I'm trying to say is, it is an easy hike, and it comes out at the top of Multnomah falls, as great a trail as it is, but I wouldn't have ran it, anyway we'd have my truck already parked there that morning, we'd get ice cream at Multnomah falls lodge, it its pronounced ty gerd not ty guard....its spelled phonically wrong,....you do get them better than some sites, you should see how many ways I've heard Willamette...lol...
I know! But this was seven years ago. I think the general public is beginning to understand the importance of it. But that's not to say that disappearances won't stop happening. Plus, there's a lot of crazies out there. I wouldn't go without bear spray and my firearm.
I've been up and down that trail to the top of the falls it's quite a hike in itself much less running beyond the top into the forest deeper. There was major fires around that time. Perhaps the trail was slippery or damaged at some point and having rubbery legs after that climb?
I went past the falls and did the hike to larch mountain and back in March 2015. I remember it being very slippery and pretty exhausting at least for me and I was early 20s, hiked regularly.
I think foul play is a strong possibility. We don't know if it was confirmed sighting if the woman going into the falls. I live near Portland Oregon. It is a busy area even in the cold. Its strange how her vehicle got to the falls. Idk. It seems very unusual.
Portland is now a shit hole. Some criminal the city welcomed with open arms probably got her. The murder rate has gone through the roof there in the last two years because of groups like antifa. It's sad to see my old hometown be taken over by violent anarchists.
It could be that the mechanic or someone at the shop abducted her and then drove her car out to park it at a big touristy area where there are always cars and it could blend in easily. Lots of Asian tourists at Multnomah, so probably just mistaken identity on the trail nearby and she was never there... otherwise she would have posted about it and her phone didn't ping near Multnomah either.
I've hiked this many times as I live about 30 minutes from here. One time in high school I hiked a 8 mile down hill from women's forum to the top on Multnomah falls and we had someone pick us up at the bottom.
I hiked the trail about 23 years ago and a few spits were very scetchy and rhe views were amazing!!!! ,but we have had many severe winter storms here BE CAREFUL AND HAVE SURVIVAL SKILLS IF YOU COME TO MY BACKYARD!! THE WIlDRENESS IS UNFORGIVING AND RUGGED!! GO TO A CITY PARK IF YOU CAN'T SURVIVE HERE FOR ATLEAST A MONTH IN YOUR OWN WE JUST DON'T HAVE RESOURCES AFTER A WEEK TO HELP YOU IF YOU GET LOST .
It's pronounced Ti-gurd. Dogs are SAR, Search and Rescue. The all sniff, smiling. Police aren't looking into it. You have to consider who was asked and DRs etc. And why the search was suspended. Very high profile area. Dense under brush.
I’m from this area. Tigard (tie-gerd) is a long ways from Multnomah falls! Tigard is about 10 miles west of downtown Portland. Multnomah falls is 30 miles east of downtown Portland. I think foul play is about the only reasonable answer to this mystery.
I was there a few days after people posted missing person posters. I decided to spend the day searching for Alisa but obviously I had no luck finding her. I can say it’s extremely steep difficult terrain she could have fallen into a creek or a crack in the earth. Sad
I’ve had over 15 years experience on the trails in the area, I’ve had three incidents with humans that were scary and potentially dangerous. Beyond the top of Multnomah Falls there are much less folks and the encounters are further apart and less frequent. Who knows, sure hope she is found.
We all pray she does show up.❤️😇I would suggest the last group she was with may hold a key. She does not sound like she was unhappy. It would seem someone knew where is was going to be.She may have just mentioned she was going to take his hike.
I wonder if they ever contacted the father of the Child? If he’s still around or alive he needs to be questioned about all this and then again someone could have been watching her since you said she ran daily on the same schedule, schedules make people really vulnerable. Hope for the best with this case and this girl n family .

Absolutely. 💯 For a plethora of reasons but absolutely apropos to this case and conversation.

I lived in Troutdale right at the end of the gorge. There are extensive hiking trails up and down river from the falls with many steep, thickly wooded cliffs. It would be easy to fall in the wrong spot and disappear.
Also there are definitely mountain lions in the area as well as dangerous tweakers and other predators.
I’m from that area as well and that’s the first thing I thought of was she fell.
@@jessepitt by tweakers u mean drug addicts?
@@nutcase1 Specifically meth anfetamine users. They are extremely erratic and dangerous.
Thank you for covering these cases that are still needing solved otherwise we would never know of them. Great work
Thank you for another caring, respectful and detailed account of a missing hiker.
I hope she will be found and return to her family.
agreed
@randy baumery oh I didn't know that
Yes, I see it all the time on Facebook.
Women sharing too much!
Especially in "woman's chats"-
Predators can infiltrate these groups.
Thanks Bryan..I'm in Salem and have thought about this case so many times since it happened. I found it hard to find any follow ups on it.
Crime and attacks on people are so rampant in Portland now. She was attacked while jogging and they took her and the car and dumped the car at Multnomah falls. She didn't go there on her own accord. It is not safe to be jogging alone in Portland right now.
Was crime that bad in 2015 when she disappeared?
@@MrJx4000 yes, Portland and Seattle have had those issues for many years.
Great comment except for the Sasquatch nonsense.
This is what I was talking about, covering the cases that doesn't get the attention other cases get. To me these cases are huge and being kept all too quiet. There is entirely too many people disappearing in these places. Makes u wonder if it's not the work of a serial killer... Thanks so much for bringing these cases to light.
Yeah...probably evil stalkers who kill for fun.
People know that going to places carries huge risks.
Alot of people who get found seem to be found off trail or injured
she went missing in 2015
No one will stop me from going alone, but I will tell people where I’m going and I take my inreach if I’m going where there is no cell signal.
Sometimes you have to go alone or not at all.
Great channel, appreciate your hard work
Agreed!!
Sucks . Such innocence taken from the world. Thanks for all the great work. So sad.
Glad people still keep the missing in the media. You never know when the right person will find something or someone helpful to their case. .
I wonder why she kept running on the trail when the hikers who met her advised her not to continue.
That’s what I thought too, did she say anything to them ? Just is so weird.
July, 2017 her brother died in a house explosion. How awful for that family.
Oh goid lord! 😭😭 Some people are given too much tragedy for one lifetime 😭

We have cougar and Bear that can carry you off for miles. So sad, The trails are wall one side and Drop the other. So hard to search and find anything. I am guessing Bear if it was before christmas.
No maybe early spring it could be a confused baby brown bear. That mistook her for food.
I always thought bears were settled into hibernation by late December?
@@mindmyown1 Probably at the latest. But what I'm aware of is early spring a baby would be up and very hungry. A middle aged Woman out in Vernonia Oregon was never seen again after going out foraging in the early spring. The father figure stated he feared it was a brown bear that mistook his spouse for a Deer.

I agree foul play is involved .
Sadly, it seems as if this woman could've been abducted .
I hope Alissa's son is safe with family ❤
Don't jump to conclusions dude, "There are more things in heaven and earth, than in your philosphy..." [from HAMLET by Will Shakespeare] !!!!!
Stay well. 🙏🙂

I followed this story and I still can’t believe she went missing.
Maybe the person who abducted her was with her at mechanics. Someone from one of the activities she was involved. Reason police haven’t released info.
It would have been dark when she headed out, winter, rain, cloud cover.

I’ve hiked the trails in that area many times. During cold weather there are very dangerous ice slicks across the trail near the top of the falls. I’ve nearly gone off those falls in wintery conditions. It can be very dangerous in that area , ice and blind cliffs abound.
Very cute girl. You can tell she was radiant and full of life. I'm sorry this happened.
Maybe the "tracking device" was just a security tag and the girl stole those bra's
@@nickyblue4866 Well, the mother was warning others about it. The usual tracking devices are bulky and before you leave the store are removed.
You have a great way of bringing important things to the public and I hope and pray that they do find this woman and bring her home as you said one way or the other.
I would like to be considered for the giveaway on Halloween 🎃 if possible - it’s quite close to Halloween and I might be too late .

I loved Multnomah falls, when I lived in a town called "boring Oregon, the falls were way more exciting than boring
I grew up in Newberg Or. :)
I've been to Thoes falls, my nephew was a ranger there, a beautiful place

She ran the same route regularly. That's a recipe for disaster. I bet someone was watching her.

Exactly, maybe it was some other girl. Mistaken identification.
I live in SE Portland. Praying for her.
If you ever go hiking alone...
At least bring a hand gun. A shotgun would be quite helpful as well.
Youre exactly right!

Very sad case...I pray she is found safe.
So sad....🙏
....hey Bryan, my boys and I hiked that train, a drop off and pick up hike, we'd start on larch mt., then its all downhill and it is 5 or 6 miles, its an easy hike but has a few hairy rockslides you have to side hill across, I turned an ankle on 1 of those slides, what I'm trying to say is, it is an easy hike, and it comes out at the top of Multnomah falls, as great a trail as it is, but I wouldn't have ran it, anyway we'd have my truck already parked there that morning, we'd get ice cream at Multnomah falls lodge, it its pronounced ty gerd not ty guard....its spelled phonically wrong,....you do get them better than some sites, you should see how many ways I've heard Willamette...lol...

I know! But this was seven years ago. I think the general public is beginning to understand the importance of it. But that's not to say that disappearances won't stop happening. Plus, there's a lot of crazies out there. I wouldn't go without bear spray and my firearm.
And carry a hand gun or shotgun.
@@nickyblue4866 A shotgun? 😅 Good luck with that ... unless you encounter a grizzly.
I have noticed emails in google disappearing, on occasion. Sometimes, they show back up but usually not.
WE PRAY FOR A POSITIVE OUT COME! LAW ENFORCEMENT I HOPE ARE USING CADAVER DOGS AT THIS POINT? THE FAMILY NEEDS ANSWERS.
Always take a personal beacon locater with you when hiking.
Lol, no organized "antifa." Just hordes of fentanyl, crystal meth, etc. homeless addicts needing $ for drugs.
Sometimes senders can 'retract' an email, depending on the program.
These unexplainable disappearances will prove to be the greatest mystery in the history in the world.
I was there a few days after people posted missing person posters. I decided to spend the day searching for Alisa but obviously I had no luck finding her. I can say it’s extremely steep difficult terrain she could have fallen into a creek or a crack in the earth. Sad
They new her routine and took her car to the Minanome trail head.
always change your routine
@@beaulieuonnp593 dogs won’t pick up nothing!
I’ve had over 15 years experience on the trails in the area, I’ve had three incidents with humans that were scary and potentially dangerous.
Beyond the top of Multnomah Falls there are much less folks and the encounters are further apart and less frequent.
Who knows, sure hope she is found.
Is it possible someone had been watching her, and stalked her.
Thank-U BrYan 🤗🐾
I've spent a lot of my life here. Makes no sense unless she went into the river or slipped and fell by a water fall?
Or foul play
We all pray she does show up.❤️😇I would suggest the last group she was with may hold a key. She does not sound like she was unhappy. It would seem someone knew where is was going to be.She may have just mentioned she was going to take his hike.
I wonder if they ever contacted the father of the Child? If he’s still around or alive he needs to be questioned about all this and then again someone could have been watching her since you said she ran daily on the same schedule, schedules make people really vulnerable. Hope for the best with this case and this girl n family .
Never will understand going hiking , jogging in wilderness areas alone , both men and women
You have me in the mood for hiking and camping now. Can't believe so many people vanish though. Please enter me for the woman's prize.
