This is an awesome floor plan! Things to add: One piece shower Slam latch outside cargo doors 2” receiver hitch for outside cargo rack Surround sound speakers Fantastic fan in bathroom Fantastic fan in kitchen Small inverter/generator or solar generator Towel bar in bathroom TP roll holder too (on right hand side) 4 season insulation package
I noticed when you were talking about kitchen access and having to move the slide that there is an outdoor kitchen. If you didn't want to move anything inside but still wanted to get a sammich and a drink, just pack the small outside fridge for travel and you're good to go. Not the best in winter, but would work perfectly in spring/summer at a truck stop
Thxs very much for this awesome tour. Coachman nailed this. The only failure is the fart fan in the bathroom, and again no slam latches. This is my new favorite.
Clever design. I would move the fireplace down to floor level, try to get theater seats without divider, (GREAT TV placement, love the counterspace. I agree- 50 amp in order to add 2nd A/C. Amazing storage space! Cleaning supplies can live in 2nd undercounter space in bathroom. Don’t change the bed for me- I like the cabinets. Lots of thought went into this unit. Singing is OK!
I like that Rockwood-style theater/love seat with the fold down center console. It's just a little wider than most though so it doesn't work for every camper where space is sometimes an issue
Home Run! This is an amazing floor plan Josh! Suggestions to tweak - no rear window in kitchen need for coffee station or appliances; backsplash on side by stovetop; add a hanger rod in the front pantry storage unit; need more accessible belly protection; eliminate floor vents; enhance the solar - min 200watt panel. Great storage throughout - comfortable bathroom - love the hamper feature. LED lighting in the front storage is a winner. This one has great potential for couples!
Thoughts 💭 Kitchen: 1: Corner Keurig/Appliance hutch 2: Spices & stuff racking on backsplash 3: Include backsplash around the entire countertop 4: between couch and sink have a angled 📐splash guard Windows: Appear they just threw some here and there out of the parts bins. Consider European dual pane acrylic windows with built in shade or frameless. Floor Decking: Use same composite floor Ember and Airstream are using A/C: Have metal a/c ducting that connect between two roof mounted a/c units. Roof: Composite only, no wood substrates please Slide Out: Include topper please. Lithium batteries: Please inform rv manufacturers they all need to accept today’s lithium battery technology and engineer an internal location for lithium batteries, inverter/charger etc. Batteries outside on the tongue frame is so yesterday. Theft and added hitch weight is not smart.
Love so much about this: counter space, fireplace, behind tv storage, double cabinet access with hamper (like waste baskets, dirty laundry needs a place), and bed design- drawers, lift, storage space= Win! Win! Win!
I wish it had one big sink, with the drainer. I hate the split sink, it's so hard to clean a big pot in the split sinks. Also it would have been nice if they got rid of the small pantry next to the fridge and left that spot open, You could put wall clips where you can store a broom and vacuum. Or at least make those shelves removable
Thanks Sooo much "Uncle Josh", We saw the very short intro video you did a couple weeks ago on this and have been eagerly awaiting this one. Wow ! What an awesome camper, my wife absolutely loves it!! I'm happy to hear more windows on the camp side but I agree with Mike Mcintyre, the awning should go further forward. I see us owning one in the VERY near future. Thank you for all the great content Sir Josh!!
They’ve done a really nice job on this unit. It’s a great couples camper and I love that they don’t let storage go to waste. I agree with all the upgrades and the comments you make about things you’d like to see done differently. To them I will add: There aren’t enough drawers in the kitchen which is of course driven by a number of factors that can’t be changed. However the space under the fridge would be good for a couple of drawers. The TV needs to open the other way to access the pantry and be hinged to pivot clear. This allows two things. 1 you can now see the TV while cooking or sitting in the dinette facing forward if the TV is open. 2. By pivoting it clear you can install pull out shelves which solves being able to reach items that are deep in the back there. In the bedroom I vote yes to a King bed option. The cabinets above the front of the bed get narrowed to allow the tall side cabinets to move up. This creates an open night stand type space on both sides of the bed allowing a King option and also giving you space for your phones, CPAP etc. With all the other storage this a trade off very much worth making. I’d also like to see that center space at least have the option of being closed in to a big box accessed by raising the bed. My personal feeling is that as is it ends up being wasted space. If they aren’t going to enclose it then at least put a cargo net at the back end. Move the TV connections outside to above the axels to avoid the door swing issue. Lastly the front pass through door on the drivers side seems needlessly small. Both of them should be the same size.
@@JoshtheRVNerd something I forgot. This should be 50A standard and if not I’d always order it with the 50A option. Even with only one AC there are more than enough electric draws on this trailer to overwhelm a 30A circuit.
@@jetdriver 50a currently optional but thankfully available It is incredible how our modern vehicles and RVs are consuming so much power now vs years ago
Awesome floorplan with theater seating, a TV, a true queen bed, a porcelain toilet, a ladder and a solar package, many standard features that so many other manufacturers still fail to provide👍👍👍Now, if they could only figure out a way to eliminate the dreaded 2 sewer hookup☹️
Love it. Agree, no shelf in kitchen cabinet next to sink so it can accommodate a trash can. Please make it with a single basin sink. You can always add a tub, but hard to clean instapot and crockpot in split sinks. No wine rack or drawers when you first walk in, that's a perfect spot for shoe cubbies. The pantry/coat closet next to it is perfect. Please, please, please add washer/dryer prep in bedroom closet. Love the bed set up/storage. No need for king bed. Don't need or want the front window. Too much light, cold, and worry about it chipping. Love the solar. Want 27 panels and a 6000w inverter... 😳😉😁 Overall, awesome trailer❣
Having been inside this very camper, I can 100% tell you Josh is spot on. It.Is.Awesome!! To be fair, the only thing I didn't like is the windshield in the bedroom which seems to be a trend with other brands as well .
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the windshield over the head of the bed either, seems unnecessary. I would put in cubbyholes in the closets by the head, tho. I'd have a flat basket in there for reading glasses, book, cell phone, earrings (I always forget until I lay down 🙄) But I do like the true queen bed, I don't like king-size beds, for a variety of reasons.
I really like this camper Josh, but if it were mine I would go with the darker interior the white looks like a stain attractor, unless it is stain free material. By the way your design nails it !!!!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of light coloured seating either, I prefer taupe. Actually I prefer a more monochrome colour scheme, not too contrasty. But I do love the layout!! ♥️
Wonderful floor plan for a couple. I liked everything in this camper except for the diagonal sink in the kitchen. Looks very awkward, it's more comfortable when doing dishes to have the sink directly in front of you. Laid out like that it takes up more valuable counter space also. Other than that I love this kitchen and all the storage. Thanks for the video Josh.
I really like how the dinette benches have "legs" and it's elevated a bit off the floor... looks lighter. The bed system/storage is great and as a "kitty" camper is a great spot for the box. I like the cloud decor...two adults/no kids. This rig is a bit longer than we prefer but it's a great layout and well thought out.
Josh. I think this might be my favorite trailer so far for 2022. It nails everything that I want. Length ✅, storage ✅, true queen bed✅. I don’t really think you ever need a king size bed unless you’re in a nice fifth wheel. The color I’d prefer the dark cushions with light trim. The kitchens are spot on!!! Oh boy oh boy. This rig is proof that the manufacturers listen. 😃 yes yes yes 👍
I have a really good relationship with a people over at Cochins lightweight division and I really respect what they do. We seem to see things Eye 2 Eye most of the time
Great trailer floor plan. In the kitchen I would suggest I’m going for a ducted AC heat system so you don’t have vents in the floor and you could put a trashcan underneath the little fliptop counter extension so you don’t lose that extra space. They could take one of those cabinet doors over the kitchen counter and install a small television for the booth people to watch because they really can’t see anything at all over there, if you’re big TV watchers no one’s ever gonna sit there. Bathrooms good I think they could put a bigger shelf on the commode wall instead of a little key hook looking cabinet. They could actually put washer and dryer hook ups and the nice cabinet in the living room or in the bedroom and still not lose a bunch of space. I don’t need a king bed so I’m not worried about that one. The storage on the outside is phenomenal not real keen on having to go through the tires to get to your sewer hook up mainly because if you had a flat and it does some damage it’s going to damage that attachment most likely. Other than that if I wasn’t a motorhome driver that’ll be an awesome trailer to have.
Love, love, love all the storage. Love that there isn’t any carpet. I wish all manufacturers would ditch the carpet. Amazing floor plan. I agree about leaving the shelf out under the kitchen sink for a trash can.
I’ll buy this, absolutely! It has an outside kitchen, no need to move the slide. Love the clothes hamper. Cushions on the benches under the bed. Def a winter pkg. Couple towel bars or hooks in the bathroom, but great storage everywhere. It’s really great.
I think the only big change/suggestion I would have is to put a built-in kitchen waste basket in the counter in the awkward spot behind the sink - bonus that it would be reachable from the nearest sofa seat
👏👏my wife was grinning from ear to ear on this one, has a place for my Keurig coffee pot, two 15K AC’s, Max-Air fan. The upgrades that Coachmen’s going to do is👍. 👍👍👍👍👍on the great video, keep’m coming, have a blessed day today y’all & God Bless
This is beautiful but Uncle Josh, where is the sidesplash next to stove? Come on!😂. I would likely want 50 amp w/2 a/c's. I am in Nebraska and we excel at humidity in June/July/August/September. Again, so very well done! ❤️'s Kitchen counter space, 12V fridge, theater seats, residential queen bed, all that storage Suggestions: 1. Add adjustable shelf next to sink cabinet for trash can or grab a sledgehammer. 2. Change to pullouts or drawers on storage under dinette and bun burner for easier access. 3. Add adjustable shelves in the left cabinet bath vanity for more useful storage. 4. I don't need a king bed but understand many will. Offset w/one bigger hanging space but maintain outlet/USB on both sides.
@@JoshtheRVNerd sledgehammer is no joke! Fixes a couple of issues l found recently with floorplan "customization" needs! Version 2.0 needs a sidesplash!
Inconceivable!!! Haha this guy is a riot! He should say that every once in a while. Love the camper. That layout is perfect for me and my wife and our dogs.
Love the new layout. Personally not a fan of the darker cabinetry or a front window as I prefer a darker bedroom. Would love to see the bedside storage cutout on each side of the bed for phone and cpap charging. Plus I feel like it helps in not making space feel so enclosed. Great job on video. I always appreciate your comments and explanations on all campers. Thanks!
I really like the idea of those bedside cutouts for storage pockets. I've actually seen several people add things like that in freedom expresses we've taken in on trade and always thought it was smart
Oh my amazing job. Crazy idea for the new storage under the pantry in the slide - what about option to switch solid door for screened door to hold an onboard generator.
Southwest. Two airs on anything over 21-24ft box. Depending on ducted vs. standard. 3 Airs on anything over 30ft box. We actually had a 3rd air added to our current 365pack16. Can't run ANYTHING other than the 3 airs though, or the generator gives you the finger (understandably). Mini-rant: I don't think there is any certification for BTU ratings. Or they have gotten loose. Why do I say that? I've owned 7 campers. The newer they are, the less the AC actually works. 1991 Rexhall class A, 1993 unknown Class C, 1996 Rexhall Class A, 2003 Trail-bay TT, 2015 Freedom express TT, 2020 Genesis Overnighter, 2022 365pack16. We still have our class A from 1996. The rear AC is original and blows ice cubes compared to the coleman replacement we have up front. The 2015, 2020, and 2022 trailers take FOREVER to cool and sometimes can't keep up. All of our old units would turn into ice boxes in short order. And I mean that, the old ones could pull the inside down into the 60's when it was over 100 outside, in about 2 hours. The last 3 campers we have owned would have to run full tilt for 5hrs to get the interior down to 76 when it's 105 out. If they are in direct sun, probably can't break 82. Ok, rant over.
Something to consider about newer RVs: Windows. RVs today have more and larger windows than ever before. They're an R0.7 typically and even "dual pane" windows are just shy of an R1.1 So we're building Rvs with bigger and better air systems, but we're also punching holes in the walls and ceilings because people think they're pretty that way.
Very good layout. Would prefer aluminum frame dinette and roller shades. I think it would be awesome to shrink that front wardrobe and make the shower a 42x36. Just my personal preference. Over all a very nice rig.
I live in south Florida. 50 amp and 2 A/C’s please! I really, really like this trailer. The colors inside are great. The light walls and furniture with the black cabinets looks gorgeous. Many won’t like the white furniture because of dirt but I’m a solo camper and a clean freak so it would be perfect!! One thing I’d suggest is to put a back splash on the wall to the right of the stove.
if this is designed towards couples camper then the slide could change to a shallow slide. the dinette shrinks down to a 1 person per side maybe an extension table with some folding chairs if 4 are needed. The pantry behind TV is still good just not as deep which we prefer as things tend to disappear into those deep storage. Also almost looks like they could offer washer dryer hookups in that bed room shared closet not that i would want it but nice for couples to have that might full time. travel mode is huge for us and i think more people than some realize after they have experienced having access to fridge sink and micro while traveling. it is a deal breaker for us. looking forward to seeing the windows added. Nice!
Those are nice but I learned require a significant bulking of chassis. It actually adds a chunk of weight and cost as a result. I always just kinda thought it would be just easy to add a hitch but the gusseting is a bit more involved Solid suggestion though. Ty
One more thought...in the bedroom can they add just a free floating air conditioner not duct-ed to the rest that is small and only for the bedroom? It would save on power and most people are only in there at night. King size bed option with one less side hanging closet and stand and add a hanging rod in the closet that goes into the bathroom. With that said....when I finally retire...this is the unit I want with a simple queen size bed. In fact, a twin would work for me as well. LOVE the design and storage on this!!!!
I think I'm in love. The only thing I'd change is make that a 12vlt outside fridge and that would take care of the snack part of the snack, nap,& crap situation. I wish thee links were fixed because I'd really like to know a price & some more specs. Good job Josh and I'll wait for the bigger and more windows on the campside version.
Running two 12v refrigerators will wipe out your battery’s before the next morning if you are parked for the night with no hook ups. And forget about running the furnace. Just keep some frozen water bottles in the outside fridge and it stays cold for a long time.
There's STORAGE GALORE!!! love the floorplan, congrats Josh! Minor nitpicks: - Matching color trim above the dinette - Extend the cabinet above the recliners to the end of the arm of the chair, or just extend the front fascia and add some hooks on the side buy the door for keys etc. - Round the corners of the bed platform solves the ouchy factor. Join the trim at the front center as it allows for 2 longer vs 3 shorter pieces and conceals the seam.
That is a jaw dropper! Big awning that covers the outside kitchen, no-slide-camp-side, decent shower size with actual/useable counter space in the bathroom, triple kitchen pantry space, acres of kitchen counter, generous outside storage, solar... I don't even care about the road-mode access because of the rack & pinion slide... Besides the windows you mentioned, I'm trying to think of what they could possibly do in the next version and the only thing I can come up with (admittedly nit-picking) that could be upgraded is perhaps powered levelers? It's amazing what they did in that length and with those specs and at that price. If they were to add a king option, I would max the wardrobe size on one side and try to squeeze a "side-shuffle" space against the wall on the other side (helps when making the bed). And with that king option, maybe a small (whatever space is left over) side shelf or night-standlet where the other wardrobe used to be for cell-phone or maybe a cpap. All around great job with this one! Well done, Sir!!
Thanks for another great video. I'm glad to hear you haven't lost even a little enthusiasm for your "craft". You have the near perfect mix of professionalism and entertainment. You make a great product full of heart. Thank you Sir! Oh and the trailer is great too. 👍
make it a mid-office 5th wheel. :) remote open the pet fish storage. i mean pet food. that'd be cool agree that the whole pantrytainment center should swing open, but it's still nice the way it is.
Very nice. The window addition in the kitchen will really help. I hope that a sofa is an option, and also would like to be able to replace the booth with a table and chairs. That tilt out hamper is a great upgrade. I am a little concerned about how comfortable the sink is to use at the odd angle, with having to reach over a lot of counter to wash dishes. It may be fine, but I would have to check that out.
Table/Chairs should be a very straightforward factory swaption. They offer that on other models currently Alpha Wolf actually does it standard as seen here! bit.ly/3ypd082
I like the white "leather" and the little coffee bar area, along with the big pantry/closet next to it. The big, for a travel trailer, kitchen area is nice as well and they did a nice job with shower and bathroom, as for the bed, the residential queen is all I need. If a person wanted too, they could probably convert that dinette area into an office, though you might want to keep the weight down, I'd bet that slideout is built for the weight of the factory dinette. I really like this one, a few feet longer than I really want, but those few feet make one heck of a difference on the inside.
Congratulations Josh! Your third child has arrived. You mean you guys make sure your customers have the right vehicle to tow? Omg what a concept. Dealer I bought my Aspen trail from let me roll out of there with a 2-in ball on my Land cruiser when the trailer was 2 and 5/16. I drove it around for a month before I realized that I had the wrong size ball on. Ridiculous that could have ended real bad. Cheers!
I live in the Mojave Desert and camp in both the Mojave and Sonoran deserts, 50 Amp, 2 ACs for me! Max or Fantastic fans bathroom and close to kitchen in addition to stove vent fan. Window insulator insert (like the ones made for vent fans) for the cap window above the bed, cold air coming down on my head while sleeping is an instant sinus infection. The insert is an easy peasy, cheap fix! Outside kitchen for travel mode, and if you forgot something open the R&P slide. Like the table storage! That utensil drawer design would be easy to clamp a trash bag at the back and keep it tidy! That back storage looks tall, I'd love to see flip down shelves of staggered width, that would help organize but could be flipped out of the way if someone wanted to store skis, kayak, Trax, whatever that could fit up inside.
An option for with or without a larger window package would be great. Personally I like the windows the way they are. Arizona desert temps, where I live and camp, are death on all that glass. The 50amp dual AC option is a must. The problem with all that storage is you are going to overload this unit, less than 1200 lb cargo available. I like the idea of a shallower slide, like the 246RKS uses but the height of this one, with a less deep pantry and 1 per side table. Darker fabric/leather preferred. Don't need w/d, to small and you're probably at a campground so use the laundromat. A single basin kitchen sink please and a 12v outside fridge. A queen size bed is fine. Slam latches would be good. I was just looking at a 294bhds. It has a better option for the pantry-tainment center.
Looks good but with all that storage, I would want bigger axles. If you fill the water tank, the cargo capacity would be down to just over 700 lbs. with that kind of storage, I would hope for about 2000 lbs of cargo capacity, similar to my Winnebago Minnie Plus 27BHSS.
AIR CONDITIONING: In Northwest Florida! I like any AC as long as there are NOT floor vents! I would be the one in the middle of the night losing a toe or getting dirt or liquid in the vents! This IS Our DREAM Camper! Storage, table tops, head space, walk around true queen and Under 30ft!!! It's like they saw my specs and MADE it!!!!! Side note..."Storm" decor for Shore 😉
I like it. Love that the slide floor matches the regular floor. BTW bad link for the trailer. Wiring on tongue is a bit sloppy. I like it. Any weather package? 2 season, 3 season, extended season...?
Link updated. TY. We're doing some website updating and basically every link off this channel is currently broken. It's a super fun day for me as a result LOL Freedoms are all extended season RVs btw
A trailer this size needs to have auto leveling as an option. We really love this floor plan and the placement of the TV, kitchen and storage. We have been looking at new trailers the last three years. We are going to the Tampa RV show next week! Hope to be able to see this model. We are on our 2nd trailer in just over 14 years and want something bigger than 20ft.
I don’t know if this one has made it to active production quite yet so it may not be down there quite yet. They might take a version 2.0 prototype down sometime
@@JoshtheRVNerd We saw one today and the factory rep said it was the third prototype. It had some bigger windows and two towers of power in the kitchen. It would be nice if it had a multiplex that worked with an app. It is really a nice unit.
Although, the cloud color is pretty not too sure about using light color in a camper. Also, the sink might be easier to use if centered. Maybe only add one more window on the sink side. Like the full backslash full length with stove. Love all the pantries.
One of the best looking brands out there. It's quite light for a 32' trailer. Would be helpful if you mention what the floors are made of when you're doing reviews (plywood or laminated). Thanks.
Hi Josh the only thing I would change is the placement of the outside sink. I would move it to the other side so I could utilize that space for food prep like chopping and dropping of vegetables. I would also relocate the solar panel away from that vent for better sun harvesting also possibly putting it on a hinge so you can tilt it up other than that it is a very nice trailer. Thanks and love the shows
@@JoshtheRVNerd LOL Well obviously this one, & Coachmen 274rks, then there's that Rockwood 2516S, & the other has the incredibly long front kitchen counter & that East to West one! Ok might be 5 I'm in love with
Love the "cloud decor", entertainment area, 30amp/50amp option, carpet-less slide system. However, the lite weight trailers in general scare me, as I have seen RUclips video's showing weird foam core floors that end up sagging and drooping, etc. But... the trailers design, and looks is really impressive! Good job on the walk through!!
I'm amazed by all the storage and counter space available and hope version 2.0 does not give any of that up. I want to suggest two improvements. 1) Swing the TV from the opposite side. right now when you swing the tv out it would allow anyone you stuffed into the pantry the ability to watch TV. Now if someone earned a timeout in the pantry, they probably should not be watching TV, (lol). By swinging the door the TV is mounted on in the opposite direction and adding a pivot TV arm the TV could be viewed by the cook in the kitchen or by those sitting in the dinette. 2) It looks like the pantry closet on the mid wall next to the TV is big enough to house a washer/dryer combo, Being positioned over the axels, and next to the bath should allow for that pantry closet to be prepped for a washer/dryer combo. I know that is usually not an option seen in this type of TT, but heck why not.
Great floor plan for couples or single campers. Love the counter space (sadly more than my house). In Michigan, only need one air. Agree with under sink cabinet. I would need a small step stool to use all of the upper cabinets space. Would use baskets to store things in the entertainment storage. Or something on tracks to pull it out. Small bar next to cabinet would be a great place for charging station. Double cabinet in bathroom, nice place to keep toilet paper rolls and cleaning supplies. Queen bed is great, wouldn’t want to give up storage closet.
Josh, nap and crap are a bigger deal for transit access than kitchen access, particularly when you have an outside kitchen. Its super easy to plan your road meals with a cooler in your rig and utilizing the outside kitchen
I was just speaking with freedom about king beds. They’re not opposed to the idea but any time a mfg needs to adjust their side stands and cabinets it’s a big deal for production
TY Cherryl! Man.. you've been with us for like 18 months now. I first remember seeing your name at the start of quarantine in 2020 Heck.. nearly two years!!
question about weight?? all the storage seems on one side will that effect towing??? love the layout how about adding a 1000 watt inverter, coat hanger in pantry with the removable shelfs, outside 12v refer so you don't have to open up the side going down the road for that short lunch or hook the 120 refer to the inverter, power stability jacks, and 4 season 0-100 F package. just some ideas. love your show, Josh have a good day and happy camping sales.
I’ve been doing this a while and have never had a client report their layout affecting their towing. I get the idea in theory but it doesn’t seem to significantly affect things in in actual practice
This is a great option for those that don't need a huge 5th wheel but still want some comfort and convenience . great design just needs those few additions to be a really complete pkg for me.
Would love this in what you describe as the 2.0. With a longer awning. With 30amp....both vents with maxxl fans and vent covers. With 3 x 175 solar panels.
All of that should be pretty straight forward actually! Our parts & service teams could assist with those upfits and have it done before you took her home!
If they’re going to put tile (assuming that’s not a subway tile printed wallpaper) behind the stove - wrap the damn tile all the way around the stove! Grease doesn’t just splash backwards.
Love your passion for what you do. I like the floor plan. Agree with the more window space in the kitchen & electrical pop up outlets. Really like the way they made the bathroom laundry drop into the built-in hamper. Josh Bish's RV is really lucky to have you in the deal. Still miss your former outro. Happy you are still making your videos!
I love all the storage! Queen bed, and want hide a bed. I hope they keep as option always Love all outdoor storage and features!! I was looking at another with rear kitchen but the storage is nothing like this! Thank you Josh you are awesome. I’ve learned so much and you make shopping easy from sofa!!
Love this! It looks just about perfect for me, assuming it’s durable enough for full time destination use (3-6 months at a single site). Would probably go 50A, 2x A/C, and max solar. I have two cats, so would use the cat box space.
Best floorplan yet! Love this layout. Thank you Josh for an awesome review and your input into this design. It is great! Now.. a few things I would prefer different. 1. A lighter color for the cabinets. The blackish is too dark for a small space like a travel trailer. 2. Raise the shirt-closets (loosing some top overhead cabinet space) to allow room for a King bed while keeping this closet space. 3. Would prefer not to have the front window as I like it as dark as possible for sleeping. 4. Lower the T.V. some and allow storage in the new space above the T.V. 5. One large sink instead of double basin sink in kitchen.
Try this one for a lighter interior and similar layout: ruclips.net/video/IL9_nFo2Bm8/видео.html Let me know which one works better for you. Also has that farm sink you're seeking!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks but,... I still like the Freedom Express 274RKS better because of the layout, awesome storage and I really dislike it when the bathroom has a direct door to the bedroom..
I absolutely love the under bed drawers and the wardrobe with shelves! I also love the counter space but the fridge being blocked by the slide is a deal breaker. Move the stove there, you don’t need to use the stove in travel mode, move the fridge where the sink is and center the sink on the counter with a wide window behind it. As a bonus you will no longer be able to see the dirty dishes when reclining.
I like to see this same floor plan only combined into a toy hauler. Love the video they defiantly got this one right best part no heater under the fridge.
This is an awesome floor plan!
Things to add:
One piece shower
Slam latch outside cargo doors
2” receiver hitch for outside cargo rack
Surround sound speakers
Fantastic fan in bathroom
Fantastic fan in kitchen
Small inverter/generator or solar generator
Towel bar in bathroom
TP roll holder too (on right hand side)
4 season insulation package
I noticed when you were talking about kitchen access and having to move the slide that there is an outdoor kitchen. If you didn't want to move anything inside but still wanted to get a sammich and a drink, just pack the small outside fridge for travel and you're good to go. Not the best in winter, but would work perfectly in spring/summer at a truck stop
Good call!
Needs to be a 12v outside fridge or inverted outlet unless you have ice packs
Or a cooler.
Was just coming to the comments to ask about that outdoor fridge! 🤣
Just like any other trailer specially in the kitchen MORE OUTLETS PLEASE
Great new floor plan! Love the fact that the outside sink isn’t a dog dish.
Here in Arizona, a 2nd AC is a requirement, not an option.
I can imagine. That's a different kind of heat out there vs. what we get here for sure
Thxs very much for this awesome tour. Coachman nailed this. The only failure is the fart fan in the bathroom, and again no slam latches. This is my new favorite.
Easy to upgrade those fans thankfully!!
Slam matches is a little trickier
Thx for the visit and ideas John!!
Thoughts 💭
Kitchen:
1: Corner Keurig/Appliance hutch
2: Spices & stuff racking on backsplash
3: Include backsplash around the entire
countertop
4: between couch and sink have a angled 📐splash guard
Windows:
Appear they just threw some here and there out of the parts bins. Consider European dual pane acrylic windows with built in shade or frameless.
Floor Decking:
Use same composite floor Ember and Airstream are using
A/C:
Have metal a/c ducting that connect between two roof mounted a/c units.
Roof:
Composite only, no wood substrates please
Slide Out:
Include topper please.
Lithium batteries:
Please inform rv manufacturers they all need to accept today’s lithium battery technology and engineer an internal location for lithium batteries, inverter/charger etc.
Batteries outside on the tongue frame is so yesterday. Theft and added hitch weight is not smart.
Get rid of the black. It looks like 1980 dock down entertainment center. Or ad
@@terrycarlson568 Totally agree. Coachmen needs to step it up. Rockwood gets it but are also behind.
Agreed!
Love so much about this: counter space, fireplace, behind tv storage, double cabinet access with hamper (like waste baskets, dirty laundry needs a place), and bed design- drawers, lift, storage space= Win! Win! Win!
Wow.. TY Lori :)
And it comes with a magically opening rear door!!!
#UsetheForce
I wish it had one big sink, with the drainer. I hate the split sink, it's so hard to clean a big pot in the split sinks. Also it would have been nice if they got rid of the small pantry next to the fridge and left that spot open, You could put wall clips where you can store a broom and vacuum. Or at least make those shelves removable
Removable shelves is a great idea I think
To them I will add:
There aren’t enough drawers in the kitchen which is of course driven by a number of factors that can’t be changed.
I'm agreeing with your add-ons. I have a follow up call with their brand manager scheduled. Definitely going over your post here. TY sir
@@JoshtheRVNerd something I forgot.
This should be 50A standard and if not I’d always order it with the 50A option. Even with only one AC there are more than enough electric draws on this trailer to overwhelm a 30A circuit.
@@jetdriver 50a currently optional but thankfully available
It is incredible how our modern vehicles and RVs are consuming so much power now vs years ago
Dual sewer is one of those annoying necessary evils when you have big holding tanks on both sides of the axles like that sadly
😳😉😁
Overall, awesome trailer❣
Thx Christine! Appreciate the visit and the input!
I agree you definitely need a space under the sink area for a garbage basket. This is a beautiful rv but it's over 30 feet 😪
This would be perfect for my dad and stepmom. It's so cute and set up nicely.
Having been inside this very camper, I can 100% tell you Josh is spot on. It.Is.Awesome!! To be fair, the only thing I didn't like is the windshield in the bedroom which seems to be a trend with other brands as well .
Thanks for sharing Richard!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the windshield over the head of the bed either, seems unnecessary. I would put in cubbyholes in the closets by the head, tho. I'd have a flat basket in there for reading glasses, book, cell phone, earrings (I always forget until I lay down 🙄)
But I do like the true queen bed, I don't like king-size beds, for a variety of reasons.
I love this RV, the storage might be a little lacking...............................just kidding. This RV has the most storage I have ever seen.
Lol I was like WhAaAaAaAaAt?!
A king bed would be great! Make the storage smaller on each side of the bed.
I wondered about stains also.
Also forgot to add you’ve got the room add a bigger awning and 15k AC and 50amp with 2nd AC capable.
I will agree that sink setup wasn't my favorite but i could deal with it
I really like how the dinette benches have "legs" and it's elevated a bit off the floor... looks lighter.
The bed system/storage is great and as a "kitty" camper is a great spot for the box.
I like the cloud decor...two adults/no kids.
This rig is a bit longer than we prefer but it's a great layout and well thought out.
That cloud decor looked amazing to me. I didn't expect to like it that much
I am seeing more and more companies move away from carpet which is great
I’ll buy this, absolutely! It has an outside kitchen, no need to move the slide. Love the clothes hamper. Cushions on the benches under the bed. Def a winter pkg. Couple towel bars or hooks in the bathroom, but great storage everywhere. It’s really great.
I love this camper I’m a 6’ 2” guy Behind the tv would be good for a washer dryer combo also a longer awning and have cutouts for cpap’s on the closet
Freedom expresses are a good fit for taller fellas like us!
I think the only big change/suggestion I would have is to put a built-in kitchen waste basket in the counter in the awkward spot behind the sink - bonus that it would be reachable from the nearest sofa seat
Or at least a place for one!
🙌🏻
This is beautiful but Uncle Josh, where is the sidesplash next to stove? Come on!😂. I would likely want 50 amp w/2 a/c's. I am in Nebraska and we excel at humidity in June/July/August/September. Again, so very well done! ❤️'s Kitchen counter space, 12V fridge, theater seats, residential queen bed, all that storage
Suggestions:
1. Add adjustable shelf next to sink cabinet for trash can or grab a sledgehammer.
2. Change to pullouts or drawers on storage under dinette and bun burner for easier
access.
3. Add adjustable shelves in the left cabinet bath vanity for more useful storage.
4. I don't need a king bed but understand many will. Offset w/one bigger hanging space but maintain outlet/USB on both sides.
LOL @ Sledgehammer!!
Thank you Rosemary :)
This RV is certified resistant to ROUS's
I love the long tall windows in the bedroom.
I like the under bed storage. That would be a good place for the dog crate.
Agreed!!
Interesting thought. Onboard gens need a little more room than just swapping out that door but I get what you're saying
They're an R0.7 typically and even "dual pane" windows are just shy of an R1.1
So we're building Rvs with bigger and better air systems, but we're also punching holes in the walls and ceilings because people think they're pretty that way.
Very good layout. Would prefer aluminum frame dinette and roller shades. I think it would be awesome to shrink that front wardrobe and make the shower a 42x36. Just my personal preference. Over all a very nice rig.
Thx Neil
I live in south Florida. 50 amp and 2 A/C’s please! I really, really like this trailer. The colors inside are great. The light walls and furniture with the black cabinets looks gorgeous. Many won’t like the white furniture because of dirt but I’m a solo camper and a clean freak so it would be perfect!! One thing I’d suggest is to put a back splash on the wall to the right of the stove.
Agree the on the backsplash. Ty Lori!!
Very nice lookin Freedom Express!
Excellent use of space all the way way around this Travel Trailer!
👍👍👍👍👍
if this is designed towards couples camper then the slide could change to a shallow slide. the dinette shrinks down to a 1 person per side maybe an extension table with some folding chairs if 4 are needed. Nice!
I love this one. knocked it outta the park buddy.
TY TY Sir :)
This is by far my most favorite floor plan yet…I’m looking forward to another video with a production model with all the changes.
Awesome Ronny!! I will get it posted as soon as we get one!!
Rear receiver hitch is a nice option to add.
Those are nice but I learned require a significant bulking of chassis. It actually adds a chunk of weight and cost as a result. I always just kinda thought it would be just easy to add a hitch but the gusseting is a bit more involved
Solid suggestion though.
Here you go bit.ly/3GtWeIj
The link-fixing is underway
Running two 12v refrigerators will wipe out your battery’s before the next morning if you are parked for the night with no hook ups. And forget about running the furnace. Just keep some frozen water bottles in the outside fridge and it stays cold for a long time.
@@satajet883 Great advice.
@@satajet883 with the solar panels like the Flagstaff comes with, it will keep it charged on sunny days.
There's STORAGE GALORE!!!
love the floorplan, congrats Josh!
Minor nitpicks:
- Matching color trim above the dinette
- Extend the cabinet above the recliners to the end of the arm of the chair, or just extend the front fascia and add some hooks on the side buy the door for keys etc.
I chatted with coachmen about a few tweaks but yeah - they pretty much nailed it I think

make it a mid-office 5th wheel. :)
remote open the pet fish storage. i mean pet food. that'd be cool
agree that the whole pantrytainment center should swing open, but it's still nice the way it is.
They offer that on other models currently
Alpha Wolf actually does it standard as seen here! bit.ly/3ypd082
Thank you, yes that looks much better to me.
I actually wondered about an office desk setup on that dinette space. Cool to see someone else mention it
Queen bed is Perfect
You nailed it!!!! I love this floor plan. This is perfect.
Ty!!!
Cheers!
Yes absolutely - vehicles are investigated for every client. Safety before the sale
Awesome Josh. Love everything about her. I would get it with 2 AC because here in Louisiana it get hot. Thanks for sharing Josh👍👍
I could see that for sure
The main change I’d like to see is a U shaped dinette.
Windows are definitely a give and take. They LOOK cool but they’re a huge thermal hole in the wall and I don’t think enough people realize that
I do like your suggestion that the space below the frig can be used to store the pet food bowls.
Thx Peter!
I really like the layout. Great job. Really agree on the storage and prep space in kitchen. The more, the better. Same with a house.

Thanks.
I try to hit on different info in each video. Freedom uses a laminated floor with 24” centers to prevent sponge flooring
Throw a heated underbelly and some tank heaters on I'm in GREAT floor plan love the storage capacity
Underbelly is forced air heated from the factory thankfully!
Outside storage on this reminds me of what Flagstaff and Rockwood do all the time. Really great unit.
Great comparison
Love the black and white decor. All the changes coming will be awesome!
I was surprised how much I liked that cloud fabric pattern. Really jumped out at me
I don’t see it being a hit in the bunkhouses though
2.0 will just be everything you see here enhanced and improved. No worries there. the "Shape" of stuff won't change!
Queen bed is great, wouldn’t want to give up storage closet.

question about weight?? all the storage seems on one side will that effect towing??? love the layout how about adding a 1000 watt inverter, coat hanger in pantry with the removable shelfs, outside 12v refer so you don't have to open up the side going down the road for that short lunch or hook the 120 refer to the inverter, power stability jacks, and 4 season 0-100 F package. just some ideas. love your show, Josh have a good day and happy camping sales.
I’ve been doing this a while and have never had a client report their layout affecting their towing. I get the idea in theory but it doesn’t seem to significantly affect things in in actual practice
The colors are nice too. GREAT JOB ON THE DESIGN
Thx Esther :)
One thing I would recommend is putting the cubbies at the back of the cabinets next to the bed.
YES!
Really nice .. you could almost use the outside kitchen to sell food. The extra outside table with a place for storage is great.
You set up shop and I'll try it sometime :)
Also, would like more cargo weight capability in the gvwr.
All of that should be pretty straight forward actually! Our parts & service teams could assist with those upfits and have it done before you took her home!
I would prefer a single basin sink with the pullout nozzle. Also a larger oven instead of having that small storage space underneath it.
Lot of requests for a farm sink. Thx for the feedback sir!
This one is actually pretty cool floor plan... definitely I would add self leveling jacks.
TY! It's not EARTH SHATTERINGLY ORIGINAL or anything. Just a nice little modern update to a classic design
Nice looking little Coachmen.
Love the floor plan and with the upgrades you say are coming on V2 it will be a home run.
I'm so excited to see it!
If they’re going to put tile (assuming that’s not a subway tile printed wallpaper) behind the stove - wrap the damn tile all the way around the stove! Grease doesn’t just splash backwards.
That’s a fact
Beautiful coach and I love the layout. You did great with the design 👏
Thx Ben. I gave them the idea. Freedom Express is really the one that crushed it!
I’m so thrilled to be on the team the team - truly. I have been welcomed with open arms and it’s been a great experience
I love all the storage! Queen bed, and want hide a bed. I hope they keep as option always
Love all outdoor storage and features!! I was looking at another with rear kitchen but the storage is nothing like this!
Thank you Josh you are awesome. I’ve learned so much and you make shopping easy from sofa!!
My pleasure!! I don’t see queen beds ever leaving. I just think kings will become more widely available
Love this! It looks just about perfect for me, assuming it’s durable enough for full time destination use (3-6 months at a single site). Would probably go 50A, 2x A/C, and max solar. I have two cats, so would use the cat box space.
Ooh! What are their names?(

Try this one for a lighter interior and similar layout: ruclips.net/video/IL9_nFo2Bm8/видео.html
Let me know which one works better for you. Also has that farm sink you're seeking!

Thanks but,...
I’ve seen a brand do something like that with the kitchen changes you’re talking about, but I can’t remember exactly who it was…
I like to see this same floor plan only combined into a toy hauler. Love the video they defiantly got this one right best part no heater under the fridge.
… For the full rear kitchen how would that work?
