Nice private bedroom and bigger bathroom alternative to the open floorplan of the 2205S. Needs a "smaller" entry exit door instead of the less than optimal airflow window on the door side. A second door also would make better sense for road mode.
I've seen those before. Super slide. Cherokee used to have a hidden bunk in a slide system.. not sure if they even still offer it. I always thought it was awesome
Hey Uncle Josh, Because of your FANTASTIC Videos, we just bought a Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S. I like it, the "Wife Unit" likes it, and this will make our 11th RV/Camper in the last 20 years. We will still watch your exciting videos, cause they are informative and funny. On a side note, because of the video you did on the Lectric 3.0 electric bike, I bought one. Hot Damn is that one fun. Take care..
Oh I like this! Cougar who??LOL! You're right this is our retirement and go be a Snowbird Couple Camper, man Josh what a Rig. I would think this could be gotten by you in the Rockwood Edition? This is perfect just the way it is I love the actual bedroom because I can drive LeAn a little nuts at night staying up so yeah, a great door and nice Bathroom as well.
I have the 2019 Rockwood version of the 2511S. The entertainment and pantry setup on mine is different, as I don't have the fireplace, but there is a huge double door 'pantry' there. I added slid out drawers so we can reach stuff by just pulling out the drawer. We gave up some space to do it, but it's more than enough. Also behind the TV that swings out is a whole other open space where I have some shelves added and where I put my Blu-Ray player and it has power inside and the switch for the TV antenna. I tow with a Max Tow 2013 F150 Ecoboost. It's got #1900 payload and I've loaded the trailer to the gills and I load a bunch of stuff in the bed, but there is just the 2 of us, but we do carry a lot of stuff and it tows just fine, but I probably am at both the trucks and trailers weight limits.. Great trailer overall and with our modifications that we did on 'day 2' it's now even better! We do have the theater seats too with back massage and butt warmer and it's great! Love the "new" but the same channel format too! Keep on keeping on!
Bathroom size is a must. I plan to retire alone in the next 10 years so I will be looking at this line for a while! Just wish I could get to the bedroom….but by the I will have property or will be at the camp site.

I love this one. This is perfect layout. The only thing I wish is there was a bit more storage in the kitchen. If I get a travel trailor this one is really close to if not at the top of my list.
Small size definitely limits available storage. We have similar layouts from a few brands who all do it a little differently. I have videos from both Alpha Wolf & Heritage Glen with similar layouts. Perhaps their storage will work better for you
This is a really really nice trailer and could be one of our options to things though. I have a gripe about this applies to more than just this trailer manufacturer is that they put that extended solar panel socket where when you plug in a panel you can’t open the door all the way to the magnetic hold back, the other is black shrouds on the air conditioning. They should be standard white in the industry. Keep up the good work love your videos I learn more every time I watch them.
Hey Josh! How about an updated video on the 2024 RW 2511? 1800 inverter and most importantly, the fridge and theater seat switched locations. Both are still in the slide but you now have really good travel access to the bologna and wobble pops! Still the same road access for the bath. I haven’t seen one in person but I love this floor plan and hope it’s around for a while. Like when I get ready to move from my 2023 to a 202? The bedroom is still inaccessible in road mode. You are my most watched RUclips personality. Thanks for all you do with RV’s.
Josh, you know I love you like a son, so I say this with love. Either I’m blinking when you show that outside storage in the slide, or you keep forgetting to show it. I apologize if you have shown it, but if you haven’t, could you next time? You have a good day, son!
If I missed it, then it wasn't intentional. Especially on this one with a BIG drop frame front like you'd see here: ruclips.net/video/5BJxJfv_lDo/видео.html
Thanks for the tour, Josh. I always enjoy your thorough tours including how you show the access with the slide(s) closed. My wife and I are looking at Rockwood's sister model 2511S and comparing that to the Rockwood Signature 8262RBS (sister model to the Flagstaff 826RBS). In both those floorplans, the water heater is located in the corner of the lower kitchen cabinet. So I'm wondering how you access the bypass valves on the back of the water heater tank?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh, after doing more research, it looks like the larger 8262RBS has the Nautilus water panel so accessing the bypass valves on that one isn’t an issue. On the 2511S you access the water heater bypass valves by removing either a drawer (kitchen or bedroom) or the cover for the furnace return air vent (under the stove).
Yes! I mean, you have to walk through the whole place for a shower 🚿 & nite potty....BUT you don't wake up anyone who's sleeping! This is actually perfect; if you close all the blinds 😉 😆
Being a couple's model first and foremost I think walking past people at night is a 2ndary concern by far. I get your point of course - that's why we carry so many different models!
Really love the closet! I can’t lift my bed though. I put a feather bed on top with a feather blanket on top. It’s heavy. But I carry a lot of weight in quilting goods also.
I love this floor plan and it’s only 3’ longer than my Dutchman but soooo much more trailer & storage. I would much prefer a 15kbtu a/c. The bedroom wardrobe is very female friendly and the bathroom space is terrific 👍🏻 Torsion suspension is great but if the axles were spaced out a little more it would be better. These Microlite’s are great trailers.
I like it. The cabinet over the seating area on the left needs to open upwards. I would like to see cabinet doors all the way across too. Needs maximum solar package. It looked to have a larger oven. Nice RV!
JOSH! Love this model, own a 2021 of this model. You forgot to mention the on-board water filtration in the pass thru storage area. We upgraded the bed to a true queen. It still has lots of room. Yes I agree a King would make it awesome but I found the Flagstaff to be far better appointed then the Cougar competition. On a side note I truly hate the free floating table. I think this unit would be perfect with a L shaped lounge and the removable mounted table that could store inside the lounger. Love your videos. How is ol uncle Gary?
Josh one tweek I think that floor plan could have is the tv side could be on a slide out so that you could get to the front bedroom if you are parked at a truck stop or rest area that you can’t get the sofa slide out out
Love everything about this unit but again, tiny black tank sizes. After you put in your initial water to avoid pyramids, you won't have much space left. Are batteries included for the solar?
Tongue weight is a bit heavy for most 1/2 ton trucks but is a nice trailer. It’s light enough but a bit heavy at tongue weight. Love it’s features but made more as a destination type layout as you’ve shown. Still prefer the 2304DS by Rockwood. Thanks again for great video!
Very nice camper my only thing I would like different is the control panel. I like it when there behind a panel so say kids cant push the buttons or some one accidently bump into a button. But thats just a personal opinion other then that I think they did a great job.
In a bunk model I definitely agree. In a couple's camper like this it certainly never hurts, but I do think it's _less_ of an issue. Always a valid concern though and I thank you for mentioning what _you_ find important!
I love the layout, but I think I'd prefer having the TV at eye level and skip the fireplace. Also, did you say it is a laminate roof, as opposed to rubber membrane?
The roof's construction is laminated. It still has a rubberized or PVC skinned roof. I'd have to see what they're using currently. RV brands flip flop on roof skins all the time Glad you asked. Sorry for the confusion
Wow I love it and the bed and the night stands it makes it room you're not compact like you're in a coffin I love how they did the bedroom but I'm still one of those people that are going to complain I wish I had a fireplace in the bedroom some people go away camping to get away to be romantic and not just on a couch! Thank you for sharing but I did notice lately they're putting more campers with fireplaces in the bedroom 🌹🔥🖤♥️🥰🌹🏘️😁
The outlets will be labeled if they’re inverter-wired. Which outlets vary by layout. I don’t have them memorized unfortunately. A team member on site is always happy to check into specifics like that in return for the fair opportunity to earn your business when you’re ready
Question, can you factory order a Rockwood or Flagstaff with an upgrade for the axles? We currently have a Superlite Flagstaff 27bhws. I feel that the axles are undersized for the trailer. Tires are too narrow as well. We will be downsizing in the future. Probably a micro or mini but would like a beefier axle setup. We absolutely love the overall quality of the Rockwood/Flagstaff lineup. Definitely better than average.
Overall, layout is nice. Love they included an oven. I would gladly give up the fake fireplace if it would allow the tv to be mounted lower. Hanging cabinet doors are fine in that use, IMHO. Not keen on the carpet on the slide.
Josh you ALWAYS do a GREAT job in your video's explaining and TEACHING folks like me who simply don't know. What's the MRSP on a camper like this? What's the availability like on a unit like this?
I see too many RVs to keep a good feel on pricing for specific models. We keep everything we have in stock published on our website with pricing for reference. Pricing changed since even this video came out
Hi Josh. Another great video. Curious about your comments on the stronger floor. Are you comparing the tongue and grove floor that Rockwood has been using for a few years to the previous styrofoam floor system they used to use? We had a 2011 Roo we loved except for the styrofoam floor which flexed after a few years. Not sure if they started a new flooring system for 22. Thanks for clarification and informative and entertaining videos Cheers
The Rockwood 25xx series were on my short list when I got the Passport 2400RB. The two deal breakers were the short bed, and no available sleeper sofa (in 2021 at least).
This is an ideal camper for me. I have a question, would this be a good RV for full time living? I really enjoy the way you show us the RVs and very informative. thanks
There's no real definition of what makes for a good full time RV. I've seen people full time in a 16ft entry level camper. It's very subjective and personal. I'm not worried about this one being able to stand up to that kind of use, though. Rockwood/Flagstaff builds tough
MOST will but you should always check vehicle specs against an RV directly. Definitely dont buy a camper based on the generic "roughly half ton towable" descriptoin
My husband and I have a 2021 2512s. Difference being the bathroom is between the living area and bedroom. I love this because we have varying schedules so if one of us is sleeping later the other can close the door for privacy and quietness. Plus with the bathroom near the bedroom, if shades are up or someone is sleeping in the living area, I have privacy to us it while in my PJs. My only dislike is the mattress is horrible which I am looking at options for it. Another dislike is the steps...super great and sturdy but I feel the spacing is too far. It's a 3 step and feel it should be 4.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I need to add one more issue. It's on my husband's side so I initially didn't think about it. The bedroom slide...you cannot open the doors if you are sitting on the bed. The doors open outward, where your legs should be. Just an awkward design. Maybe an accordian door would be better. Or a door that somehow folds back inward.
Am I the only one that would actually like to have the fireplace and those two drawers like trade places? Or drop the fireplace down lower and have one massive drawer in its place? Nice floorplan overall though
What a great trailer. Nice it has solar and tmps. It's a neat floorplan, I love it! I have to wonder why more manufacturers haven't gone with a system like Jaysmart. Anymore just about every car has backup and full view cameras, think it's time travel trailers went with a safety feature that could stop accidents.
@@sharolynwells If we have it in stock under the "Rockwood" name, then you'd find it here: www.bishs.com/inventory/?keyword=2511s If under the "Flagstaff" name, then you can find it here: bit.ly/3rq3oqS Both are pretty popular so it's possible despite our size we could be sold out. If you don't see one there, then please drop someone at one those locations a note and they can get you figures. I can only see what we have published.
The weight of the trailer is half ton towable, the problem is the hitch weight. By the the time you load your trailer you at 1000 lbs hitch weight not including your hitch which adds quite a bit of weight. Most well equipped half ton pickups are around 1500# payload. If you’re alone with not much stuff in the bed you’ll be okay. If you have a family of 4 or carry a lot of toys your truck is going to be overloaded. A gas powered 3/4 ton truck is by far the best for that trailer! I really like Rockwood trailers. I’m a few people full timing in Geo Pros.
It is and I meant to mention WHY it's that way We had two of these in stock at that location They just sold one but something was wrong with its fridge bracket So to take care of our customer the location robbed the top bracket from this fridge & used it on the one that was sold to get the folks on the road in a timely fashion. I happened to record this one during the time we were waiting on a replacement
Hey Josh, Love your videos. You put so many great tips and info in them. We are currently selling our motorhome and plan to switch back to a travel trailer. The one we are looking at is the Flagstaff 25FBLS or the Rockwood 2511S. I have a question about the 2024 vs earlier model. I noticed that the fridge has been switched with the theater seats. Do you know why? It seems odd to have the fridge so far from the kitchen and the theater seats offset from the entertainment center. Thought it might have to do with the distance to the batteries but that puts the 12V fridge even further away. We may try to get a used 2022 or new 2023 model instead. What are your thoughts on it? Thanks!
That's actually news to me. I haven't seen once for a while I see what you're saying. That does look odd on paper BUT.. it could have been done to access the fridge in transit. I'm not sure. I'm going to have to get updated footage on that..
Josh, I'm sure you have answered this previously but my husband is 6' 2"tall. Will he be able to stand up in the skylight fully? He ALWAYS has issues with camper showers! Thank you! Great video!
Josh..In you EXPERT Opinion, is the Rockwood Mini Lite 2511S, the same fit and finish as the Flagstaff Micor Lite 25FBLS. Remember back when the was a Ford and Mercury autos and the Merc was a bit upper class than the Ford? Wondering about these two models..
@Josh, any idea how well this would do for winter camping in the North half of the country? I know some of your manufacturers say, “0-100+ degrees”. Any thoughts for the Mini twins?
Rockstaff doesn't actually chamber and test their units. I do know some people that have wintered in them. The tank heaters help in the enclosed belly. Radiant barrier helps as well But they haven't done testing to make promises so it's hard for me to do the same. I think if it dips below freezing at night and comes back above tomorrow, then you'll be fine
So when it comes to these smaller units.. seems common since, but is it easier for the A/C to handle keeping it cool? One of the things “The Boss” Is most concerned about is a hot camper
Isn't there one that's a foot or two longer and has the whole middle section just a little bit bigger? Bigger tv, deeper behind the tv, floor vents and then a dinette too?
Yep! Here's a few: → Rockwood 2606WS (of course has a flagstaff sister): bit.ly/3Cdfbfm → Cougar 26RBS: bit.ly/3bFNBg1 → White Hawk 27RB: bit.ly/3iC5Hn9 → Jay Feather 25RB: bit.ly/3pPxxis and there's plenty more. It's a very popular layout and concept!
I like this trailer, but we have the 2507s and for the same size, you get a lot more usable space. I think this is a great layout, but you give up a lot of room to get the separate bedroom that isn't really that separate. For a couple that doesn't need room for any additional people and wants a door on the bedroom, it's a good option.
It's really a question of open vs. private bed space.. or even murphy vs fixed beds The 2507S, 2205S, and 2511S are all super similar overall with a few little variances from one to the other. Those different bed setups are often "deal breakers" so Rockwood tries to build one of each
@@JoshtheRVNerd Makes sense. And all of their trailers offer a lot of value. For us the outdoor kitchen and getting a couch and dinette in a camper we could still pull with a half ton, was worth dealing with the murphy bed. You do a great job of helping people focus on what's important to them. Glad you're still doing them.
@@hillustration Did you keep the original mattress in your murphy bed? I'm looking at the same model, and would upgrade the mattress, and wondering if the mechanism can handle a 55 lb mattress. Also wondering how you find the outside storage after having used it? I always preferred one single large storage area to a bunch of smaller ones? Thanks
Great video Josh! I’m looking for some direction. I’m in the market for a 1/2 ton towable TT with the rear living and a full Queen bed. Any suggestions on what to look at? Thanks in advance
First thing(s) that jump off the top of my head: * Transcend * Imagine * Maybe a cougar (though they're made for King beds) * Open Range ..there's got to be plenty more but those were the first that popped into my mind
Yes, thank you!!! I know nothing much about this brand but I like what I see here. We ordered a new camper ate the Hershey show in September and anxiously awaiting its arrival but I like this as a retirement unit in the future!!!
I wonder why this model has such a high tongue weight, yet the Rockwood 2513S, which also has a bedroom slide and a very similar layout, is 200 pounds less? Josh, any sense of why what would be?
Pricing changes regularly so I include a link in the video description or you can always see current and accurate info without needing to call anyone If under the flagstaff name you can check here www.bishs.com/inventory/?keyword=25flbs If “Rockwood” then here www.bishs.com/inventory/?keyword=2511s

These Microlite’s are great trailers.
I like wide stance axles but Rockwood doesn't do them. I'm not sure that concept is actually compatible with torsion suspension
I like it. The cabinet over the seating area on the left needs to open upwards. I would like to see cabinet doors all the way across too. Needs maximum solar package. It looked to have a larger oven. Nice RV!
Yep! Larger oven and expanded solar available right from the factory!
Your music reference is so Ludacris 😏
you always act a fool
Uncle Gary is a mess frankly lol
Love those L-Lounges. They’re just a bit wider than than sofa used here unfortunately
Any trouble with the slide coming in with the true queen? I have the same trailer and love it, but a bigger bed would be nice!
A huge feature on these is the size of the dump valve on the fresh water! 1-1/2” most are 1/2”!
Batteries are not included from the factory. We have a variety from which a client can choose to fit their needs.
Nice, I like this one. I would add addtional solar.
How much more???
Tongue weight is a bit heavy for most 1/2 ton trucks but is a nice trailer. It’s light enough but a bit heavy at tongue weight. Love it’s features but made more as a destination type layout as you’ve shown. Still prefer the 2304DS by Rockwood. Thanks again for great video!
Almost bought one of those but we wanted a full time table.
If I were a solo camper, a trailer-width rear bathroom would be high on the priority list along with rest area sleep-ability.
What’s funny as I think you could literally park this thing inside the living room of your North point LOL
@@JoshtheRVNerd 😂
Very nice!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love this.
RV brands flip flop on roof skins all the time
Glad you asked. Sorry for the confusion
Super nice unit
I think so too!
Little space heater works well!
She used the word romantic Josh, which she would mean the glow from a fireplace in the bedroom. Not so much the heat from a little space heater
@@mattl9732 This explains why my wife is always so frustrated with me
We own a 2021 flagstaff version of this one, and absolutely love it.
Can you tell me which plugs work on the converter when not plugged in
The outlets will be labeled if they’re inverter-wired.
They do not offer any axle swaptions as it turns out
Overall, layout is nice. Love they included an oven. I would gladly give up the fake fireplace if it would allow the tv to be mounted lower. Hanging cabinet doors are fine in that use, IMHO. Not keen on the carpet on the slide.
The carpet is gone now in the current version!
Yes the current for construction versus the laminated floor of the past
Sweet, I’m just getting into it but have very specific details I’m looking for. And I’m also in Michigan outside of Detroit 🙂
Very nice. Prefer theater seat vs. dinnete. Will half ton 150 pull this?
MOST will but you should always check vehicle specs against an RV directly. Definitely dont buy a camper based on the generic "roughly half ton towable" descriptoin
Fun to see you doing a Flagstaff instead of a Rockwood! Guess you'll be doing a Salem instead of a Wildwood soon?
Both yeah
I want this one!!
I mean.. operators are standing by! lol
Nice. But check out that tire. Looked like a decent cut.
TY for sharing, Lisa. Feedback from real owners is always the most valuable
You're not. I think you're the 3rd person I've seen mention it on this video. Thx for speaking up! :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd right like it makes sense but the biggest thing is that vent to the right side of the drawers 🤔
Are you able to tell us if you have any more Flagstaff and Rockwood videos coming up? Looking forward to seeing the 25brds/2509s for 2022. Thanks
Already have that one on file for you right here. Enjoy! m.ruclips.net/video/SmzR_RxPSmQ/видео.html
nice its like our GD 260RD without the dinette in a smaller size
Yes very similar to some things Imagine has done!
Is the fireplace an option? Can we just leave that out and get some more kitchen storage?
Standard in this layout, yes. It could be removed aftermarket but rockwood/flagstaff doesn't offer a specific option in/out for it
What a great trailer. Nice it has solar and tmps. It's a neat floorplan, I love it! I have to wonder why more manufacturers haven't gone with a system like Jaysmart. Anymore just about every car has backup and full view cameras, think it's time travel trailers went with a safety feature that could stop accidents.
These have LCI's OneControl now (or as Rockwood Calls it "WeRV") so they kinda have.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'll check it out.
Just make a delivery! I'll take it!
We would actually be happy to arrange that for you! :)
What kind of price are we talking about?
@@sharolynwells
If we have it in stock under the "Rockwood" name, then you'd find it here: www.bishs.com/inventory/?keyword=2511s
If under the "Flagstaff" name, then you can find it here: bit.ly/3rq3oqS
Both are pretty popular so it's possible despite our size we could be sold out.
She is a bit heavy on that hitch for sure. Always important to check an individual vehicle's capacities -- something our team is happy to do as well
@@JoshtheRVNerd I tow this trailer full time all over the US. My tow vehicle is a BMW X5 and I've never had any issues.
Nice unit, slightly heavy tongue weight will challenge many 1/2 tons...
00:48 is it just me or does the fridge look like it's tilted back?
It is and I meant to mention WHY it's that way
We had two of these in stock at that location
They just sold one but something was wrong with its fridge bracket
So to take care of our customer the location robbed the top bracket from this fridge & used it on the one that was sold to get the folks on the road in a timely fashion.
I happened to record this one during the time we were waiting on a replacement
Hey Josh,
Love your videos.
I haven't seen once for a while
I see what you're saying. That does look odd on paper BUT.. it could have been done to access the fridge in transit. I'm not sure.
I'm going to have to get updated footage on that..
Will my 1/2 ton 150 tow this? Perfect couples camper.
Possibly? I cannot really offer anything beyond that without actual specs on your truck. Not all 150's are created equally.
Josh, any concerns with that fireplace roasting the electronics right above?
Not really. They don’t make that kind of heat
Josh, I'm sure you have answered this previously but my husband is 6' 2"tall. Will he be able to stand up in the skylight fully? He ALWAYS has issues with camper showers! Thank you! Great video!
We're about the same size. He SHOULD be fine but still ducking to the shower head
I would definitely recommend trying to find any micro lite / mini lite to stand in to test. They'll have the same shower heights
Thanks! He ducks for the shower head now.
Did we just have this chat via facebook messenger earlier this morning?
@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV yes we did. Thanks
This is perfect for us! How many dollhairs are we going to have to save for one? I must have missed that part.

And if a "Rockwood 2511S," then here: bit.ly/3GwCtzJ
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you!!
Radiant barrier helps as well
But they haven't done testing to make promises so it's hard for me to do the same. I think if it dips below freezing at night and comes back above tomorrow, then you'll be fine
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you sir
Does it come with an optional king bed?
N/A on these currently
So when it comes to these smaller units.. seems common since, but is it easier for the A/C to handle keeping it cool? One of the things “The Boss” Is most concerned about is a hot camper
Oh sure. There’s less cubic foot of space inside to worry about cooling
Would love to see this at a Rockwood Signature level. Pretty close to the 8262rbs
Isn't there one that's a foot or two longer and has the whole middle section just a little bit bigger? Bigger tv, deeper behind the tv, floor vents and then a dinette too?
Yep! Here's a few:
→ Rockwood 2606WS (of course has a flagstaff sister): bit.ly/3Cdfbfm
→ Cougar 26RBS: bit.ly/3bFNBg1
→ White Hawk 27RB: bit.ly/3iC5Hn9
→ Jay Feather 25RB: bit.ly/3pPxxis
and there's plenty more. It's a very popular layout and concept!
is the outlet the sofa is connected to on the inverter in the 2024 model. Does the window in the head open? @JoshtheRVNerd
I don't believe the sofa is connected to the inverter but I'm not 100% sure
Bath window does open
i have a 2024,Slide/couch outlet is on the inverter. My bathroom window does not open
Please add a shot of access inside the camper when it is closeup ready to travel. Doesn’t look like you can access the fridge and bedroom
We did - right before we step outside. Enjoy!
Sharp looking
Hey Josh, anything new this year for the 2507S?
I haven’t been able to see what I get for Tony to but I don’t believe there’s anything earth shattering there
Why is the hitch weight so high?
Drop frame chassis + closet slide basically dead on the nose
I would like the shades to raise from the bottom up. That way you can have privacy without completely darkening the room. Just me.
Not just you actually. More and more people are looking for things like that. Thank you for speaking up
So is it still possible to get the dinette seating
As an option yes
I like this trailer, but we have the 2507s and for the same size, you get a lot more usable space. I think this is a great layout, but you give up a lot of room to get the separate bedroom that isn't really that separate. For a couple that doesn't need room for any additional people and wants a door on the bedroom, it's a good option.
It's really a question of open vs. private bed space.. or even murphy vs fixed beds
The 2507S, 2205S, and 2511S are all super similar overall with a few little variances from one to the other.
Thanks
@@roberttravers5839 yes we have. We like it. Some people put toppers on them, but it's been fine for us.

A really nice quality RV with a really terrible sink…. You can keep it. If you need a mess making double sink:; install a farm sink with a divider or use a dish pan.
I'd prefer a farm sink as well. It's funny because that's what they do in a lot of models
