- New Crimson Tide football coach Kalen DeBoer and his family were escorted into the back of the Mal Moore Athletic facility on Friday night. Check out the crowd that cheered for him in the chilly evening and the players leaving the building after meeting with the coach for the first time.
Being negative and not giving the new coach time to even be a coach at all is unacceptable behavior. Kalen Deboer will be a great coach at Alabama!

I'm a Dawg fan and I think the Tide got one hell of a coach this guy has won everywhere he has been and that says something!!! The only thing I think may cause him issues is recruiting. You have to recruit at a high level in the SEC to compete you aint gonna win at a high level down here if you don't but coaching wise this guy is good!!

As an LSU fan and much respect for Coach Saban.....These will be the biggest shoes in the world to fill. We found out in 2005 when he left LSU, has not been easy since.

You say that but you won a Natty 3 years after Saban left. Played in another one 4 years later. Then won again 8 years later while having strong chances along the way. Y’all have been a completely different program than you were before Saban. Y’all are now a program that expects to compete for national championships. Y’all have had more success in that time span than programs who would historically be favored over you. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Florida State, Miami, Penn State, Texas, Oklahoma. All programs who before 2003 would be way ahead of LSU on a college football program list. Since then you have more championships than all of those schools. Y’all are a completely different brand than you were 20+ years ago. It’s admirable and impressive. He changed your program. I hope that we have as much success post Saban as y’all have.

Coach Deboer has a proven record. 3 NAIA titles. Winning seasons everywhere he's coached. There will never be another coach Saban. We have to let him be his own guy. I'm sure he's already been given the "Here's what we expect" speech.

Bama fans aren't as irrational and impatient as you've been misled to believe they are. Every SEC team has underwent multiple coaching changes over the last two decades and I guarantee you many of those coaches (Mullen, McelWain, Arnett, Harsin, Luke, Pruitt, Morris, etc) would've lasted longer at Bama considering Shula, despite having a worse record, did.

DeBoer is 12-2 vs top 25 competition and is 3-0 vs Lanning, 2-0 vs Lincoln Riley, and 2-0 vs Sarkisian! What better coach could you find to play for than somebody who’s winning at this level and with the lesser talent as well?! Almost wouldn’t be fair to give him this entire roster!
@@JustSpeakingFacts_ look at the talent pool Clemson has had, Saban is the only coach I have r ever seen who has been able to bring in elite talent and keep them focused on the team as much as their NFL agenda. Without Saban Alabama will just turn into Clemson or USC and Miami in the early 2000s. A team that recruits the top talent but has egos too big to control.
What's sad is this is for a game. World may actually change for the better if people would go to church like this. Worship God, instead of a football coach. But hell, they pray to a statue of a coach at Alabama anyway! God himself isn't too high on their priorities for sure.
You are exactly right. They treat football like it’s a religion. The nation in general has gone overboard concerning the importance of sports. You have middle school and high school athletes switching schools not because of education but for sports. You have too many people who want to be entertained rather than informed and this country will suffer because of it.

The defense was pretty bad this year. Lots of room to grow. Look at how bad UM gashed UW on runs in the first quarter but they adjusted and started stopping the run. Bama was bad at stopping the run the whole game allowing a huge drive in the last 3 min and and easy TD in OT.
He also needs to bring in some new talent.

Tuscaloosa is awesome, especially if your a football player! I’m not sure there’s another school in the NCAA that loves 🏈 and the players as much as Bama. Athletes are treated like celebrities at Alabama! I’m sure a few will leave but I’m also sure there’s gonna be players who wanna come play specifically for Coach Deboer as well. We’re gonna be just fine I suspect!

A major peve of mine is the fact that people in this day and age have no idea of how and when to Dress for an occasion. If I'm meeting with my new Coach, i will not wear house slippers and pajamas. Sorry Kids, get with the program. Roll Tide.
Unless somebody told me to dress more formally when I was in college I had on gym shorts and either a tee shirt or sweatshirt about 99% of the time.
The players don’t have to impress anyone. The coach couldn’t care less about clothes - stats are what matter.

Bottom line is, YOU DON’T KNOW DEBOER WILL BE A GREAT COACH !!! And DON’T KNOW HE WON’T BE !!! He’s going to get his chance because he’s there and under contract. If he’s great…..then great, if he’s not then you’ve lost the years he’s there plus there’s no telling how many after. The SEC is different than any conference he’s experienced before. Big gamble here, he won’t just have to play 2 or maybe 3 big time teams a year and beat them, with 1 or 2 exceptions every week will be a big time challenge and not having been through that is a huge gamble a lot of people (fans) will be super happy or super disappointed with this, we’ll see. No matter what, there were better choices out there. 🤞
