Show Hidden Passwords
This tutorial will teach you how to use Google Chrome Inspect Element to reveal/show passwords using that are saved in your web browser but hidden by dots/asterisks and there is no ‘eye’ icon to show the text version of the password.
You will see •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• in the Password FieldThis tip will show you how to reveal the type in the Password Field
Download Google Chrome:
chrome.google.com
How to Reveal Hidden Passwords Using Google Chrome:
1. Open Google Chrome Web Browser
2. Go to a site such as Twitter.com
3. Click on Login
4. Saved Password should be showing all •••••••••••••••
5. Right-click (ctrl + click) in the password field
6. Select ‘Inspect’ from the contextual menu (option + cmd + C)
7. Google Developer Tools will open usually on the right or bottom of the website
8. Make sure ‘Elements’ is selected and there should be highlighted text
9. Look for type=“password”
10. Double-click “password”
11. Type the word “type”
12. Hit Enter/Return to reveal the password
13. Bonus: Double-click on “type” and replace it with password and you will get back the •••••••
Note: You can also see the password in the Inspect Tool listed as Value if you want to save a step and not type in ’Type’
Note 2: I did not reveal my actual passwords 🤓

there's no "type="password" listed when I click into the HTML, it just says "current password label "class" and then the dots are still there. Is this some kind of special firearm that prevents me from seeing the password on this site?

Is there a way to reveal all website passwords without having to do each one individually or having to go look at google password manager. I want to have my passwords visible on all sites.

This is only to help you with your own personal passwords that you have saved in Chrome and would like to see when hidden. As for paid websites where you do not have access or an account, it will not help. 👍
I know it's old but are there any sites like the one in the start of your video that lets you do that you know of? It would be a lot simpler if I just got on like reddit or something and could see it that way.

This tip is to help if you are unable to view your own saved passwords in Google Chrome. You would have to use ‘Forgot User Name’ at the login screens and verify ownership of the account to recover user names. 👍

This will only worked if you saved the password previously in Chrome browser. I would recommend doing a password reset ('I forgot my password') in AOL mail and creat a new password. 👍🍀

when I go into the fullscreen mode by pressing f11 it opens the inspect tool. Do you know how I can fix that?
