Well done Ben, great angling mate! Mine opened a dozen times over my head! happens to us all mate hey. Good work on the fish mate. Seemed the carp arrived in the area just as we had to leave, good on ya mate!
@@BaitworksTV my name is jared (jazza) avery and thank you mate , the fish only turned up on my spot in the mornings for about 2 hours , then seemed to drift back over towards the causeway , was great to see myself in the video glad you managed a few, was still cold aswell , hopefully see you again soon
@@bensdover1989 Good work mate, having never fished it before I can see its all about trying to get as many bites as you can when then drift over you, as they don't seem to stay long in anyone place. All the best Jared :)
@@BaitworksTV yes mate bait and wait then when u get 1 quick get few spombs over top and rods back out quickly as possible i only ever use corn hemp and boilie and just goyta fish tight as u can , good luck on the next one , take care urself
Great vid again. Defo a ‘real world’ insight to a day ticket water and the struggles of swim selection. The ‘lap the lake and find the fish’ goes out of the window so to manage those fish was a result! Great to see that chunk of a common sorted out too ❤
Great video. I'm looking forward to more! The venue is not my 'cup of tea', the busyness would do my head in, having to chase swims. I will stick to my syndicate fishing.
8:30 Yes, you need a stand Mike, for the lines/reels/rods sake that's lay down on the ground. Use the handle side of the reel and position it to hold the side clear so as not to damage the line/spool/side plate, and a hand towel is better than nothing to lay the rod on.
well I enjoyed it 👍 and happy to see that big common get untethered from all that tangled mess. As we know it can happen on any water day ticket, club or sydicate it's par for the course.
Everything thats wrong with fishing linear is couldn't think of anything worse!😂 Least you didn't get the tom maker treatment and get your swim closed off😂
These types of videos are great - love to hear what bait you’re using etc. good insight for myself as a beginner/intermediate. If a carp splashes and/or bubbles, would you cast directly onto it?
they drained linear lake recently and found 12 inches of moldy bait need rig checks on there and a bait limit the fish only eat a little especially in the winter
It's supply and demand mate isnt it, we wanted to see and experience this side of carp fishing and for many this is all they know. Despite it being busy it's very well run and places like linear certainly make thousands of people happy every year. As you say it's certainly not everyones cup of tea.
@@BaitworksTV Mike/mark to be fair to you it’s good these places are there so people get there fix leaving a lot of the quieter, wilder and smaller manned waters as they are for us to get our fulfilment, different strokes for different blokes hey.

It's just a sign of how busy carp fishing has become mate hasn't it. It's very busy but you can see why with whats on offer I guess in terms of fish stocks, if weight matters that is. :)
Thats the thing mate, its not for everyone is it, in fact I've never been before but from one visit you can see that many probably know nothing more than linear. @@oldgreg1 Def not why we do it, fishing these venues are miles away from our normal angling but we committed to experiencing a day ticket series and all the warts that come with it. As we know it's supply and demand, venues like the Wraysbury of old with 20 fish would suit us perfectly bus as a business it's not even an option these days sadly. Although I'd pay good money for a Wraysbury late 90's ticket lol That said syndicate carp fishing venues are hard to find for newbies and non accessible so we need day tickets like this to simply service the demand.
Well a big thank u for adding me into ur video :) im the guy with green spod 😂😂 landed 6 carp to 35,12 oz and had a cracking session ❤❤

Yes mate these waters do have there challenges, it was all very alien to us but glad we went Wade.
Good skills gents , always enjoyable when you two are involved 😊👍🏻
Cheers Jon, glad it was watchable mate.
cool film, busy place!! that trailer was a good common by the looks of it ... well done guys, bring on the next film
Good video chaps, I couldn't poke up fishing a place like that though, like a bloody circus
That line reminded me of the old crab lines we had as kids .. half expected to see a 0/1 sea hook with a bit of bacon rind on it 😬
Hahahaha

Awesome watch as always guys.... Thank you
Great insight to "the real" Linear. 👍
Great quality video fellas and done in the REAL world too.👍🎣
Glad you enjoyed mate, it just how it is at Linear
Nice one chaps! Let me know when you are heading back up 👌🏻
Tom makers lost fish only person i see with orange line! 😂
Came to say that myself!
Happens to the best of us 😅
Def not Tom's rigs
Qaulity watch as always guys topdangling onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next vid 👊🎣🤞

Brilliant nice one guys! Great effort and good result! 👏🏻💪🏻

Nicely done lads 👍
Used to love seeing those fish in the tank when popping into your old unit.

Myself and my pal were on the 2 pegs next to yours whilst you were there, nice having a chat to you both 🎣
Good to meet you mate 👍
Great video. I can not handle Linear/most day ticket places around Witney~Oxford. But there is some very nice waters if you dig about that way....
20:30 - That HAS to be Tom Maker 😂 - the only person I see with orange line. If it has a Fluro D rig then I’m 💯 it’s his 😆
Best send the orange line back to Tom Maker lol
Great vid lads, what sinking braid was Mike using please? thats good going 30wraps with sinking braid
It was the avid 30lb braid mate :)
@@BaitworksTV many thanks lads 👍

Summer coming up! Do an underwater video! Be cool to see how pressured fish treat your baits. (I know they work)
Orange line that will be Tom maker 😅
bit tight showing that lad having his spod open on the cast at the start 😂
Happens to all of us mate, most sessions lol
It looks like Mark & Mike were using braid .
Thought braid was banned.
Braids not banned mate as far as we know. Doesn’t say in the rules 👍
Pasta & coriander 👀
Pleased to see you NOT filming in a roped off/closed day ticket water. Not sure what the companies who do that think we are seeing when that happens.
Good work guys, another great watch , the question is Mr holly have you ordered yourself a spod station yet ????? 🤣😂

Ordered one mate for next time lol
Are you allowed to load unload your gear from the car right on the bank?
You allowed to bring the car over,on Brasenose 1?
Some areas yes you can mate

Just wondering I noticed Mark was using his diawa rods has his mate Danny not sent him a set of the new korda rods?
They’re the older DF diawa’s mate. Great rods, no need for new ones 👍
