    You are so lucky to spend so much time with Milo, he’s the best instructor I have ever seen! I can’t wait to have the time to fly back and get more lessons.

    I was lucky enough to attend the VA golf school. Milo, Brendon, and (Jack) are the very best! Got a lot of things to work on and a path to get better - thank you again!

    Love your work B-dog and Milo. Ladders practice for wedges is exactly what my coach recommended for me last lesson.
    Anyone else think Milo’s voice sounds like Kermit? I think the green shirt may have triggered the thought!

    I also have the tendency to pull some shots. And my 4i has been pull drawing which I don't like relative to my 6i and wedges. My grip is consistent as it can be, which is slightly strong left hand and weak/covering right hand. But I always address behind the ball with a square face. This video, aka opening the face at address but still keep a strong grip, might help me a lot.

      First thing first. Check your lie angle and loft of 4 iron. If every other club is fine - that's a good chance your lie angle and to some extent loft could be off.

    For 100 yards and less fire at the flag shots, my personal opinion, and what Milo is saying, WAY LESS movement - way less - you can see the amount of movement you have when you have the side on view. Also, and as Milo said, most people address these shots with too square a face; for me, best results for a stock shot is to have the clubface 1-grove open to give you that smig more bounce - and yes there is that draw shot when you want the ball to release and run with check-left spin when you need it.

      What is 1 groove open.

    • @wallstreetoneil
      @wallstreetoneil 3 года назад +1

      @@slapnutz1 basically open the wedge until the 1st groove, if the club was sitting square and not open, is opened to sit where the 2nd groove used to be - when i'm helping golfers with their short game, i started describing it using this language and it was easy for them to visualize so I adopted it as my goto language - if you have a thicker lie, i will go 2 grooves or more open so the club won't grab and the increased bounce prevents digging

    About hitting the ground with the sole versus the leading edge, does that apply to wedges only or also with irons?

    Milo comments on shots pulling left was path to the right with a square face. Is that for a draw or a pull.Trying to understand. Thanks for the video as I find it very informative.

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf 3 года назад +1

      Yes a face square to the target with a path to the right will start at the target and draw to the left. A proper draw starts slightly right and falls back towards the target

    The face slight open at address should it be for all clubs?

  • @bjohnson515
    @bjohnson515 3 года назад +1

    Maybe I missed it...
    the distance from the ball with the wedges.
    The PROS seem to be right on top of their wedges which seems to allow them to compress the ball better, trap and spin it better.
    First move is to push those hips back and chest falls on the ball....
    Maybe its the TV camera angle...but I dont think so...
    the PROS seem to be maybe one shoe length from their wedges...comment?

  • @frankcox7933
    @frankcox7933 3 года назад +2

    I've been told it is difficult to hit a full wedge shot. Your 3/4 shot is so good you could also hit the next wedge 3/4 and get the distance you need.

  • @m3toz4
    @m3toz4 3 года назад

    shorter backswing more acceleration to the target and try to stop where you want to stop. More like Phil idea, it will fly with more spin, stronger flight stop quicker....For 40 yds shot your hands should finish about waste high.

    Your using a tee??? How is that going to help when you get out on the course?

    • @wodenoftheangles3339
      @wodenoftheangles3339 3 года назад

      Yes, I've often thought the same. I just don't understand why they do that. Malasko is big on that too - makes no sense whatsoever.

      The point of the tee is to make it easier to make good contact. It’s very hard to learn a new movement and control swing bottom. Most people make things too hard too early. Milo also said he doesn’t like tearing up his teaching area so he uses the tee

      Good reasons for a tee indeed.
      I like practicing off new mats, because the mats form a perfect hitting surface as I see it. And I personally think it is better to learn (at least first) to hit off a perfect surface, and then learn to adapt the swing to imperfect surfaces, like the funky grass at driving ranges where they have ayou hit off the grass.
      And I like the idea of hitting off a tee for the irons, even a wedge, as that is surely going to train you to control the depth of the swing arc -- I will have to give that a try.

    Hi all arms no connection with the upper body, pitch shots its about control, and it’s more upper body rotation with your arms staying connected, keeping your weight forward throughout the swing. Can not understand why milo is not saying nothing, crazy lesson. Sorry specking to what I see.

    I'm certain on the vast majority of these shots you are pulling on handle and getting too narrow in transition. Ton of ways to fix it, all are simple, none are easy.

    This is kinda confusing why do u say our students? I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure your not a teacher and your what like 6-7 handicap? It’s kinda confusing because I’m sure your making some money off of this but it would annoy me if you were calling me one of your students and if you have scratch or better players they wouldn’t be there for you.. not being rude just maybe something to think about

      We ran 2 golf schools together and Brendon is actually a much better player than you give him credit. I’m pretty sure he is hovering around a 0 index. He is also a good coach for golf schools because he keeps things flowing well
