Hell of a concert. What a performance!
My son and I ( me being 58 and my son was 31) have been the biggest Metallica fan ever!. He fell to his addiction Sept. 25th 2019... I pray that you James can overcome your demons and to continue to produce the words that form generations to come! Never never land can be forever ever land!! God bless my son and you James!!

For anyone bothered by the crowd, this was the Live Earth benefit concert in 2007 with dozens of acts. The very next day after this Metallica headlined a proper gig here with a full best-of setlist and it was fucking awesome.

I’m 63 years old and consider myself a rock ‘n’ roll connoisseur and I never cared for Metallica until this song came out it’s fantastic
Sorry but this is a legendary metal band playing Wembley and that's the crowd they get. I don't even think half of them are big Metallica fans, such a shame, Metallica deserve better one of my favourite bands I would have killed to be there. At least there was some real metal heads you could see singing along, but a great performance anyway. Much respect as if this was almost 10 years ago!
And if you want to see a good Metallica crowd we all know Moscow in 91'.

I mean, this wasn't specifically a Metallica concert. This is Live Earth which was held on July 7, 2007. There were a whole bunch of other bands playing on the same day: Snow Patrol, Black Eyed Peas, Duran Duran, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Foo Fighters, etc. So yeah, I'd say more than half of the audience isn't big Metallica fans lol.
YOUR GONNA LOVE IT BRO! I saw them Friday May 12th in Philly, I think it was the 2nd show of the tour and they whopped major ass! We got lucky though because Avenged Sevenfold was suppose to play before Metallica and after Volbeat(who played first) but Synester Gates's wife had their baby that day so Avenged canceled, I never saw A7X live and kinda wanted to, I know a few of their songs but they aren't one of my favorite bands, because they canceled there was alot of dead time between the end of Volbeat's set and the time Metallica came on stage so I think Volbeat played a couple extra songs(not 100% sure because I didn't get to the stadium until about a half hour before Metallica hit the stage, that said though because of all the dead time Metallica played a longer set then they would have if A7X would of played, If I had to guess it was Probably about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour Metallica set we got to see, but I think the band wants to keep that on the down low because I looked at the Audio posted of that show that some guy must of got by buying the Audio of the performance (which Metallica sell after each show on their website) and then he posted it on RUclips and it says it was only about 2 hours 15 minutes long but I was there and it was longer then that, and some songs they played weren't even on the audio recording from that night like Sanitarium and Harvester of Sorrow and others

I'm affraid he is not.
He is a very respected guitar player and musician. Through the years he's guitar skills and technique have dicreased, these guys are leyends, and they play a show almost every night, that make him obviusly lose interest on playing guitar in a perect way.
They Are many many reasons why kirk hammet is "under rated" nowdays, but back in the 80's and 90's the guy was a leyend, and still till this day.

When they played with Guns N Roses, the concert I went to, Metallica played seven encores and Enter Sandman twice. Girls were
stripping to be on the Jumbo Screen and people were going crazy!!!. Axle was so pissed off he did not come out with the band until hours later, then he cussed out the audience and threw a temper tantrum. So it was 3 in the morning already and everyone started leaving, He said " so where all you going you fucking pussies !!!! ". Metallica has always put the fans first and play their butts off EVERY-TIME..
