I really appreciate this video. It gets hard to see these “perfect” family videos on RUclips and it’s difficult to remind myself that social media is fake. You have been showing real life. Real noises of children, real messes from living in a home. I hope you know how much it means to all of us watching. It relieves guilt and burdens and makes me feel like I can breathe instead of looking around and comparing my house to someone’s sparkly, white, spotless corner. Thank you so much. Thank you for continuing to be honest. You are amazing.
I agree! And you are not alone! I'm watching this while my toddler naps and lunch dishes are on the table. Some days..we need this types of breaks to carry on 😊
I absolutely love that you showed so much normalcy in this video, it’s refreshing to see that EVERYONE deals with tantrums, crying and chaos sometimes in their homes! Its amazing to see the “not so nice” sides of parenting! Thank you!
hey delilah i was wondering if you could make a video for young woman\teenage girls? i mean it can just be about anything but i just think that you as a young christian wife and mom could give great big sis advice and i know there’s a lot of young woman in your audience (including me haha) much love for you and your family, love your channel xx
I am 19 and I feel like I've just learnt so much on how to be grateful and gracious through watching this would be a cool idea, I've been watch since I was about 16.
I’m not a mum, but have been a long time viewer & I just think it’s refreshing for you all to be open and honest and real. The clips of of Theo & Eloise doing Simon says feels nostalgic … one day they can watch all of these back and that’s amazing x
My baby (1 year old) has been throwing some hard core tantrums and everyone who does not have kids or hasn't had kids in 30+ years tells me how I need to get her under control and "train her" it's nice seeing it happen here and hearing that it is normal. I do my best for my baby but sometimes it's hard and I don't know what to do espicaly as a first time mom
Please know that not every childless person feels this way! I chose not to have kids, but I also realize that while I don’t enjoy the company of littles, we all came from the same starting point, and that it costs me nothing to extend a little grace and understanding. Sending love, light, and strength ❤️
You are doing a wonderful job, mama. I have a hard time too with worrying about what others think sometimes 🙈 but you are the one responsible for your babies and rest in knowing you are doing the best you can. I pray you have peace in your mothering and so much patience with your little one ❤️
Same here, savannah! My baby is also 1 and lately there are so many tantrums, fights against going to bed, lots of anger and tears.. and I just don’t understand why he behaves this way and I don’t know what to do either :’(
@@feyzaopanoglu3350 They grow out of it! They'll always have tantrums, but you'll get used to it, and they'll get better at self regulation as they get older. Then the whining starts 🙄
Refreshing to see a nighttime routine, especially starting so early. I see a lot of morning routines, where everything is still going smoothly, but then in the evening is when my life becomes more chaotic and it's nice to see ideas of what others do after nap/quiet time.
Looking lovely in your jumpsuit and the hair bow! Also, I‘m still such a Eloise fangirl. If she ever has a bad day, tell her that there are complete strangers on the globe that adore her. 🥰
Sweet sentiment, but maybe starting them so young on needing affirmation from strangers is nooot the best idea. She’s definitely a very loved little girl though!
Delilah, thank you for all the content you guys put out. Your videos are actually encouraging and not a place I feel judged and like I don't measure up. Thank you for showing the beauty of motherhood. For explaining and exemplifying the blessing that it is without leaving out the messy, difficult parts. I wish so deeply that we could be real life friends. The Lord is using you in this little internet corner and He is indeed glorified by you. (This is the first youtube comment Ive ever made, even though Ive been watching vlogs for years.) I really felt compelled to encourage you in what youre doing! -Sincerely a young mom of three, 3 and under ❤
I'm always amazed to see small children falling asleep on their own. My 19mo needs a parent present to fall asleep (which is perfectly normal, it's just that all children are so different, and that is amazing as well).
Yes! Thank you for this comment. Babies are just so different! I still feed my 17mo to sleep for naps and bedtime and really don't see that stopping any time soon. But that is our normal and that is ok 😊
It's always so interesting for me to see another family's routine-- we have three three and under and my nights look similar to yours. Love the idea of adding in some games + family night, that is awesome.
That sweet moment when you were cuddling with your 2 oldest before bed legit made me cry. It reminded me of my childhood, way back when my parents were still together and it made me so sad that things have changed so much to the point I sometimes feel like I don't even have parents anymore - not in the true sense of the word anyway. I just hope that if one day I do have children that won't happen to us. That my kids will always find in me a safe and loving place. And I wish you and your wonderful family the exact same 💛
Loved this video! You’re always ‘doing something’ so I hope you get periods of rest inbetween and you time as well. Can never get over the fact that the sun goes down so late in the northern hemisphere in summer!
This video brought me so much encouragement ❤️ thank you for always sharing the "normal". We have a 5,3,1 yr old and we need a better routine. You may only be an internet friend but your impact is real! Thank you!
As a mom I super appreciate showing the reality of your day to day life. It's very refreshing and assuring that I'm not alone and I'm not a failure for not having everything put together all the time. Thank you :)
I’ve watched all of your videos for three years. This one with you and your kids playing and reading and praying before bed is beautiful. Motherhood is beautiful
Bed time has often been a cause of anxiety in our house hold. Sometimes it feels totally relentless . It is SO refreshing to see how normal your family’s routine is . Thankyou for showing this x
I babysat in several families and one (with 2 girls about 4 and 9 at the time I started) had no bedtime. The rule was they had to wake up on time and they could go to sleep as late as they wanted, but couldn't "sleep in" so it was up to their regulationa. The parents were a relatively youthful couple and would go on date nights, and the girls would calmly play and draw with me etc but often by 11pm they they would spontaneously start yawning and leave the room to go to their bedrooms and sleep :) 9pm walks with their dog were also normal, and very useful especially if they seemed to have too much energy :D If I had school work to do, I'd cheat a little, and start dimming the lights everywhere and yawning visibly and often they would go wind down themselves a little sooner :) Also, relatively soon after dinner I'd push to brush teeth and take showers, and then they could continue playing, so if they decided to go to bed earlier they wouldn't skimp on these chores (and cleaning the clothes from the ground after the shower :D though the tactic to wash oneself and quickly go to sleep before cleaning up was effective in me putting away their stuff, but on the other hand, they were in bed sooner hahah). And past dinner they'd be allowed only fruit and veggies (like cucumbers, bell peppers, but also sweet ones like grapes etc) despite having brushed their teeth. I myself started brushing my teeth like this (with a young baby) and it really helps the nights when I'm so tired I just slump to bed at the end of the day, I feel like I brushed them at least once in the evening ^^' despite having eaten more afterwards
I love this video. It really helps to be reminded that there are tantrums and crying and that is normal and okay. Thanks for sharing your videos. I always look up to you as a compassionate and loving momma.
Delilah, there is just something so beautiful about all these ordinary, normal, small moments that you are capturing. Your faithful love and focus on your family continually encourages me to do the same with mine. Thank you.
Thank you Delilah for the transparency in this video. I’m not a mama yet, but I’m a preschool teacher and oh man, I’ve met a lot of kids who throw tantrums! This picture perfect routine on social media is not the whole truth and it’s not the norm. I’ve had many conversations with parents who feel lost and upset that they’re not doing enough for their kids and blame themselves, but remember they’re KIDS! Especially the early years, they’re developing a hundred things everytime they sleep. It’s alot, no wonder we forget that going into adulthood. You’re all doing your best and remember; don’t put too much pressure on yourselves, you are a GREAT parent and your kids will be happy and loved regardless.
I saw a home sign at Rural King best store ever lol, that said " Welcome to our Lovely chaos" and I told my husband this needs to hang by the front door so everyone knows we love our chaos and the things that cause it, our children that we waited for the Lord to send us for over 12 years. I want to start implementing some of the daily activities to cover chores, I feel like with our kids, extended family and ministry we never have time together that is covered up and stressful and it bothers me more than it used to, thank you for sharing "normal" with us!
Your videos are so refreshing and such a huge reminder to me of how I want to parent. I have 3 young kids myself and often I get caught up in trying to get everything done while rushing through the day. These videos bring me back down to earth and remind me to slow down a little.
Thanks for this realistic “normal”. Love to see your wise decisions about not showing tantrums and being respectful of your and your families privacy. It’s a great example. Also I admire how much you seem to love routines 😜 thanks for that easy dinner idea!👌🏻
I work at a boarding school, & in the elementary division we make the student home as dark as possible before bedtime to kinda wind the kids down, especially in summer cuz it doesn’t get dark until almost 9 but the kids bedtime is at 7. it works like a charm!
It is SO nice to see a realistic routine! I’am going to soon have three, three and under (my toddler and I’m expecting twins). I’m so happy to see a family on RUclips going through the “normal” bumps in the road that come with parenting. Your channel is a breath of fresh air!!❤️❤️❤️

Thank you thank you thank you, for this. This was so needed. People need to see this normalcy. I so appreciate you feeling comfortable sharing this and I hope you know our nights look very similar to yours. You are not alone and thank you for showing us that we aren’t either! 🤍
Omg I needed this… just had my first baby boy and I don’t understand how most parents on RUclips designate an exact bedtime and routine for their baby/kids. I find it super hard to stick to an exact time if I’m going off my babies naps and feeding then he might go down at 8 or maybe 9:30 who knows lol. Also it’s great to hear you feed before his naps and bedtime because that’s mainly the only way my boy falls asleep. No problem with that. Your family is beautiful
I totally understand not wanting to show tantrums and such but I really appreciate that moment where you discussed how it happens through the day. I’m 3 months pregnant and have a 3.5 year old and a 14 month old and lately there is so much crying and fussing that I think I’m going to melt. Not saying you need to show more, just saying thanks to talking about it. I often use your videos as a reminder to be kind and gentle and patient with my children.

Thank you so much for sharing, you are a beautiful person with a beautiful family 💞 Also, side note: when you put 9pm across the screen and I saw how light out it was, my mind was absolutely blown 😂 I live in the Vegas so the latest it’s light out in the summer is probably about 8 lol Canada is so pretty and I hope to visit someday 🤍
Thank you for showing us this. I get anxious about not putting my toddler to bed by 7 or following a schedule or turning on the tv so I can get stuff done or even just to have a few minutes to finish some food in peace.
I love that you showed us a realistic routine, because if we're all honest a night routine with kids will always be a little bit different and a little bit messy each day.
Hey Delilah, can you do a video on how you transition your littles into quiet time or to enjoy it? We have a very dependant and clingy 2 yo, who we adore, but would love for him to be content with playing by himself or have much needed quiet time.
Binge watching and absolutely inlove with your vids! Quick question forgive me for being dumb... But i saw it was 9pm but it was still light out? Looking forward to more vids pls!
Hi Dellilah! I was wondering if you would be willing to share how you managed to sleep train William? You put him in his crib awake and he falls asleep on his own, that is amazing! My son is 6 months old and I still rock him to sleep... but he is getting waaay too heavy for this. Thank you for your amazing videos!
What time does it get dark there? Jeez! 9PM and bright as day out there, lol?? and I love the ending! The real part of videos, the part we don't see, lol - "Now we gotta get up and get the camera!" haha ♥ Love the "nothing is ever normal" vibe in this one! So much truth to that!
This is going to be interesting and certainly completely different to mine. We eat around 18.00, Put her down around 19.00, and She (4) is down until 05.30/06.00.

Boggles my mind as to how light it is there at 9pm still😱 I’m in South Africa and in winter ( which is what we have now) the sun sets by 6pm latest. In summer here, it sets by 8pm. Just crazy to see it still looks like daytime at 9pm there 😬
I'm sat here thinking I really need to vacuum this afternoon and I do "the under the table chair" dance. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF JUST PUTTING THE CHAIRS ON THE TABLE?!?! You have made me excited to vacuum and try out this new technique......... can you tell I'm a Mum?

Thank you for sharing this, you give me an idea of what I actually want my life to be in the future ( currently trying to have child #1 ) ;)
Loved this video and showing us the realness! The bedtime struggle is so real! Lol
This was the cutest thing ever.
Binge watching and absolutely inlove with your vids! Quick question forgive me for being dumb... But i saw it was 9pm but it was still light out?
Looking forward to more vids pls!
The intro is amazing!

Such a sweet video! Thanks for always keeping it Real 💞
OH. MY. GOSH! This was so helpful. How did I not think of playing Simon Says!? I LOVED this vlog :D
So much truth to that!
around 9/30
I was just watching all your videos and this one just popped up 14 minutes ago! Love your content thank you for being so awesome 🥰

Happy birthday to William tomorrow! Can’t believe he is 1!

Thanks for keeping it real! 👍🏼
when we were children my brother and i ..we were told that whoever sleeps first will get round of applause...sometimes it worked
Boggles my mind as to how light it is there at 9pm still😱 I’m in South Africa and in winter ( which is what we have now) the sun sets by 6pm latest. In summer here, it sets by 8pm. Just crazy to see it still looks like daytime at 9pm there 😬
I loved this video ❤
Thank you for sharing about harder moments also 🤍
WAW, the editing is amazing 🤩
I'm sat here thinking I really need to vacuum this afternoon and I do "the under the table chair" dance. WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF JUST PUTTING THE CHAIRS ON THE TABLE?!?! You have made me excited to vacuum and try out this new technique......... can you tell I'm a Mum?
My god ! Thank YOU for making me/ us feel “normal” 😅❤️
Appreciating video
