The Rani from Extra was essentially like this Rani, at least, on the surface.
Dig deeper and what you find is a girl who prioritises efficiency (who may one day try and take control of humanity because of how inefficient we are) who is quite intelligent (and secretly wants to show off how smart she is) with an exhibitionist kink (who wants to have everyone bare themselves to the world)!
If you think about it, this is basically just Cells At Work, wacky hyper-advanced Papermoon doohickey edition.
Yeah, Sion even referenced it in this video. Remember how she made the comparison of describing how the body's cells work as human jobs when explaining how the inner world of PAPERMOON was just a personification?

That was a dumb move on his part, ngl. If she was actually serious, Duryodhana would not have lived past this point in the story.

Not necessarily, so far we don't know if the AI's are forming factions against each other
What I read is that they have different roles within the world, every now and then they hold a grail war as a maintenance procedure of the world
Its more like a halfway point between a Fuyuki Grail War and the Moon Cell. A Paper Moon Cell, if you would.

Extra is a completely different universe, so their "lineages" so-to-speak would be completely different. Additionally Rani in the Extraverse is a Homunculus not an AI.
It's like how in the original Mega Man series Dr. Light made a robot named Mega Man, but in the Battle Network games in a different timeline his son made a digital life form named Megaman.EXE.
In addition, Rani XII specifically stated she was named as such after the number of major updates she has undergone as an AI since she was first created. Her name basically means she is Rani ver. 12.0, not 'Rani, the twelth named as such of her family line'.
So what kind of world does Ordeal Call take place? Is it an Singularity, an Lostbelt or something different entirely?

Being stuck in a digital world with her as our only servant (the former Beast III L), it's the opposite of what Kiara (former Beast III R) has done.
The rivalry between these two is something else entirely!
It's probably a Reality Marble contained within Paper Moon. The way Sion talks about "playing by this world's standards" sounds an awful lot like Reality Marbles, and we know the Moon Cell's virtual world is also made up of Reality Marbles.
Don't read too much into it though. It's probably just set dressing and may not have any actual impact on the events that play out. I haven't played the chapter and I don't read Japanese, I'm just a lore nerd. The only thing it would "mean" for sure is that Paper Moon is leagues more advanced than any other supercomputer in the Nasuverse except the Moon Cell, which is probably still many leagues more advanced than Paper Moon. Or maybe it just cheats by using Imaginary Number Space where time doesn't matter.
I mean...this is the Paper Moon arc so they're in the Paper Moon. You could've at least watched what you're commenting on...
What will happen with the other two ordeals is anyone's guess.
