I live in the Dolomites. During the last few years they have become more and more crowded. If someone wants to have very nice landscapes too and more peace, I suggest visiting the eastern part of the Dolomites in the Veneto and Fruit regions. The Alta Via is the number 6 "Dei Silenzi" (of the silence). Real wilderness...
@@tieinwithTee I live in the Dolomites too. March is good for winter sports. We have snow still and often there are late snowfalls that make the mountains dangerous due to avalanche risk. If you go hiking or skiing then check the avalanche warnings. I am today, April 24, at 2000 meters and it is snowing. We just had 30 cm of fresh snow😊.
@@mixingitupinminnesota4092 In May there is still snow that is melting while June is nearly all clean except the highest parts and the northetn slopes. Both months are not crowded a part from the Sundays in the most popular places. Both months are super beautiful 💪😊. Normally they are good for alpine skiing, hiking and mountain biking.
Elena I’ve been your biggest fan for like 8 years now. I’m 24 year old girl from Australia and you have just inspired me to add this to my bucket list, might go in 2024 now! You are such a gem of a person, you are treasure among (I’m sorry but) trash of the internet. You give me hope for our generation and you inspire me to do better and strive for more for myself. Just thank you for being you.
I visited the Dolomites in 2022 and stayed in Rifugio Lagazuoi and Rifugio Fanes! The view and the hike between these two Rifugios was one of the most beautiful ways I have ever hiked in the Alps. Especially the view from Rifugio Lagazuoi will forever have a special place in my heart. Thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane ❤ My tips if you want to do something like this: train before hand, pack enough water and as little luggage as possible. And if you never been hiking and you are not sure how to do it, there are many Bergschulen (traveling experts who specialise in hiking) where you hike in small groups with a certified mountain guide. I did this myself and it was without doubt one of the best experiences of my life.
I’ve been watching your videos for (I think) 8 years and I believe this is the most visually stunning one I have ever seen. The definition, the wide shots, the drone shots, the cuts, everything was 🤌🏼
I have wanted to hike the Dolemites ever since I first heard about them, and this video only wets my appetite even more. My only wish is that this video would have been longer Elena. Keep up the amazing work.
Elena, your cinematography and editing skills are absolutely amazing! Your videos are like a burst of sunshine on a rainy day, always lifting my spirits. You're hands down my favourite RUclipsr! 💖 Keep spreading those good vibes! 😇
I'm from Italy and I just wanted to say how beautiful your video is! I did an easy hike leaving from Ortisei called the Tre Cime di Lavaredo...and would probably have needed to be airlifted out (after your hike to the completely booked rifugio and you missed the cable car) so kudos to you for being resilient and brave enough to keep hiking to the second rifugio!
Hey from Wales!! I visited the Dolomites in august for 4 days and it was genuinely the most magical trip! I love this video, i've found it so nostalgic and have literal tears in my eyes haha its soooo unbelieveably beautiful and this captures it so well!!
I am actually from the Dolomites, living in northern Italy, and it was so beautiful to now see your journey here! 😍 If you are still around and need any tips, I am there for you 😉
This video (as all of your videos) was a pleasure to watch. I’m from Italy and I’ve been there on holiday two years ago. After watching this video I think I’ll go back, especially because I hiked only for one day and I only did like the path that goes around the tre cime di lavaredo. I’ll take inspiration from your itinerary ❤p.s. this video is literally a masterpiece, it looks like a documentary.
So stunning! We just missed each other, who knows we could've been hiking right along the same trail :) Hope you enjoyed this beautiful piece of Italia. Cheers!
Love this soo much.Perfect view.I'm so proud that you made it💗My childhood dream was to travel in Italy and because of your videos I think I'm about to do it❤
I was looking forward to this one because I reeeeally want to hike the Dolomites but planning seems like hell and I am mildly scared of doing it solo and you just confirmed all my fears :D but I'm glad you had a great time
soo amazing - I remember watching your story posts with all the cows and knew a vlog had to be in the making. the wait was worth it and i enjoyed watching this video from start to finish. amazing job conquering 15 miles at the end! I had recently done half dome (too scared to summit) but it took me a loooong 21hrs my legs were SHAKING at the end. so to do back to back hike days, be so proud of yourself! do you think you’d ever return and attempt the Mont Blanc trail
i wonder if they keep a certain amount of beds open for walk ins? feels wild they’re booked up- i feel like most trekking in europe is pretty causal and people don’t book ahead
ok after hearing you say the costs, maybe not 😂 routes on the camino and also way less traveled routes the huts are much cheaper .. maybe more causal then too? 🤷♀️
Elena, I see that you packed very light for this long hike? May I ask what a person should pack for this kind of short trip? Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you
Beautiful video! When you finished after the 3 days did you have to back trek to get to your car? I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to easily get back to a rental without having to do an out and back
Great video. Dolomites are totally on my bucket list. One question; I love the drone video, but here in the US (at least in Colorado) drones are not at all welcomed pretty much anywhere. How do people in Europe respond to you when you fly yours?
Congratulations to you for achieving your goal of completing this hike through the Dolomites. I tried accessing the website of one of the Refugios but no success. I believe some of the Refugios have very poor internet connections. I would like to stay in Cortina d'Ampezzo, use that town as a base and drive to Seceda and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. If you have been to those sites, do you have any advice? Did you use any GPS track apps maps, online or offline, to help navigate your hikes? Wish you the best in your future travel adventures. BTW what time of the year did you do this hike. It appears warm.
Love this so much! I make RUclips videos in a similar spirit as you and have been living and traveling full time on the road across the NA continent for the last year but omg this is making me crave going back to Europe. So glad you had a wonderful time! Sending love from my corner of the world to yours ❤
I will be visiting the Dolomites in a couple of months and I have a Dji mini pro 4 which comes with the 3 smart batteries that makes the drone exceed the 250g rule and 1 of the regular which allows me to carry it as a 249g. Did you register the drone to before traveling to the dolomites. do you have a step by step if you did register the drone.
we were coming back (by car) from Sicily and our vacation was almost over, we had to choose between Dolomites and Lake Como. Unfortunately I gave in to my wife's choice - Como. I still regret that decision... But I'll be back one day :)
elena STOP the beginning was genuinely like a movie or an ad for national geographic :0
So true
So why she has to stop ?
I agree!

I was there last year September, and your video summoned up memories of my travel ❤ thank you for today's video!
I'm planning to go end of September, how was the weather their at that time? Were the views clear?

You can usually store at a hotel if you'll stay there at the end. We ended up being a little risky and leaving it in the truck of our rental car.
