- The other day I received a question regarding my arm after phalloplasty and how it will never look the same. It hit me kind of hard at first because I have been trying not to think about it, but here is my answer.

i think it's pretty cool tbh. when you get to tell (understanding) people that you have your scar because you're trans, i feel, it that were me, it would be kinda rad? like, when you said you're sacrificing that for something even better that you've wanted for a really long time, that's very true! you have what you wanted, what a lot of other trans men would love and you also have a cool scar that you can tell people about and they'll go :0 woooah nice, man!
idk i just think it's not more of a "bad" reminder, but a good one. to show how far you've come to be the person you want to be. :)
To avoid any detailed questions about the scar, I'd probably just say that I had to correct a birth defect.

Hey Cody, just wanted to let u know that your videos really inspire me. I do CrossFit and often use your meal plans and recipes as inspirations for my own. As a trans guy, it's nice to know I'm not alone in my struggles, and I hope your surgery goes amazing. Cody is a trans guy, Ava is a trans guy and so am I. We both came to Cody so we can understand how this transition will go. I one day want Phalloplasty, and it helps so much watching his videos. Ignore Dead horses. All she does is ask the same repetitive questions while telling you her opinions of what your gender is. The truth is that you will run into a lot of people on the internet, and in real life like them, but you just have to be strong in who you are. If they were strong in who they were, they wouldn't have to step onto other peoples youtube channels to repeatedly comment their opinion. Their opinion doesn't matter, your truth does. We are transmen. I am proud of that, and that is all that matters. Stay strong brother.
what you said about coming to like your scars... I hadn't thought of it like that before for my arm. It's true for my top surgery scars, but somehow I just never translated that to the possibility my arm will never, ever look "normal" again. That's... a bit of a revelation and very helpful. In terms of scars, I feel the same way and just had this conversation with my partner about how I don't see my chest scars anymore but I know if I go shirtless in public the general public will. I honestly haven't really been out in public shirtless often since surgery and I was just curious as to whether or not people ask you questions about them and what your response is?
So far I haven't had any questions regarding my chest scars, but usually when I am shirtless I am running.. so it doesn't really give people a chance haha.
I've seen a couple of great forearm tattoos over healed rfp scars.
Also, do you think you will do a reveal?
I'm interested in where your current tattoo ends up - mine is in the same place!

Yea I am more than likely going to do a tattoo over the scar, I already have my tattoo artist picked out :) As for a reveal, of my penis or arm? haha. I might create a private blog where I post pictures.
