Some like it Czech: THE ANGEL OF THE LORD 1&2 (Jiří Strach)

Have you been naughty or nice this year? If you were naughty, you'd better avoid St. Nicholas, his Angel and the Devil. The distinctive Czech Christmas tradition of St. Nicholas Day is splendidly portrayed in a kindhearted movie ANGEL OF THE LORD 2 (2016, Jiří Strach) that is till this day the most attended Czech fairy tale in local cinemas.
In one of the most beautiful Czech historical towns Český Krumlov, the director Jiří Strach filmed a tender but humorous fairy tale full of biblical puns and picturesque scenes. Screened with English subtitles on December 8th, fun introduction and - for the most enthusiastic spectators - with the first part of the movie series Angel of the Lord (2005).
