    It's so heartwarming to see how you interact with these kids, Emily. You treat them as equals and rightful experts in the field, you give them credit and you encourage them. It's no wonder they're such compassionate conservationists when they've got such great teachers and this really gives hope that our planet is going to end up in great hands. I even figured out how to handle bees without the little guys freaking out( holding flowers in the crack of the finger closest to the palm, hold the hand nestled in amongst other flowers and bees usually come by, at that point gently lift up the hand)
      I really wish more kids were taught how to respect and respond to nature, scary to think that most kids are taught fear by their carers rather than respect.

    hey I've done some research and I've found some info;
    i have come to the conclusion that *the ping-pong shaped ones* are most likely to be *snapping turtle eggs* because of their roundness and *they are native to both Minnesota and Wisconsin.*
    as for *the oval ones* , you said that they look like they were *laid just recently* right?
    I've done some research and found that *painted turtle eggs are also oval-like in shape* and guess what?
    *painted turtle eggs get laid around late spring and mid summer.*
    which is around *June 20 - June 26!*
    and this video was posted on *June 27* so there are pretty good odds that the oval ones are *painted turtle eggs.*
    *they are also native to Minnesota and Wisconsin* too so i am pretty sure about this.

    I think, at the very least, Id yell at my kids if they were doing anything like the kids who disturbed the eggs. It baffles me that parents are so ignorant and/or neglectful to teach their kid to, idk...NOT completely destroy what is obviously a nest?? Anyway good on you two for taking them in and doing your best for them. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it

      @@luafabregatjones8107 pretty sure they meant they would yell at their children bc they were already taught not to do things like that. Sometimes kids need to be yelled at to understand the magnitude of what they're doing and to take what u say seriously

      No, optimist would said legless lizard or dragon eggs. Even tought legless lizard don't live in America and the one specie I know about don't lay egg (I think in english it's "slow worm"? In French, it's just "Orvet commun")

    Round: Turtle
    Oval: Maybe a lizard of some sort? I know lizard eggs tend to have an oval shape and like they said at the beginning of the video, it could be a mix of different reptile types so like turtle and lizard or turtle and snake.
