That’s a Macias bajo, originally owned by Eloy Bernal in 1964. Ruben told me in an interview that he bought off of him
Lupe Saenz great to know! Making history!
From a legend pass it on to another legend in Conjunto Music.
Puro Conjunto , Puro Valle!!!
@@RobertTrevinoJr to me a Macias bajo sexto is a Stradivarius of an instrument none others can compare.
Lupe Saenz, thank you for sharing that. As a fan of El Conjunto Bernal and Los Dos Gilberto's that is a great piece of information to know. My carnal had a conjunto in the Houston area in the 1970s and actually had the fortune to open dances for El Conjunto Bernal and Los Dos Gilberto's. These guys are legend!
I remember jamming with chevo Gonzalez for a lot of years he had a original Macias bajo too... sounded so beautiful
he holy they play like the two Gilbertos eso bonita música bonita música canciones I like it Como La Musica texana no hay dos Que viva la música tejana
They should let HIM carry on the name Los Dos Gilbertos, because he put together a band that sounds like the essence of his original group. I know the late (and GREAT) Gilberto Garcia has a son running around doing gigs under the name but they do NOT have the 2G sound. Which is a shame, and a disservice to the memory. This guy is an OG of the 2Gs. I mean if you have a wedding tomorrow and you want Los Dos Gilbertos, you’re gonna want THESE fellas. He should change the band’s name to UN GILBERTO, so more people make the connection. He deserves to trade off his long history working with Mr. Garcia. His voice was part of the magic of 2G’s.
Very well said. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.

There good, but its not the real thing, LOS 2 GILBERTOS !!!!!! BUT I LIKE IT, !!!!!
mario mendez the singer sang with Los 2 Gs
I do not know why you mention this, Don Ruben always played with 2Gs, He always was faithful to Don Gilberto , now Don Gilberto passed away and Don Ruben follow his own path, I respect your opinion but why disregard his music?
Damn, their tempo is fluctuating gacho. Tempo is everything when it comes to conjunto, if you can't sustain a steady tempo it really makes a band sound bad.
With all due respect to Mr. Ruben, no surprise to anyone, not the same without Mr. Gilberto. The tempo and rhythm is off. I’m sure it will get better.
