I honestly thought this was just a joke meme when I heard of it. Dave's reaction pretty much reflects my own.
i still find it exceedingly hard to believe. like, i have no faith in humanity already, but there is no way ANYONE fell for this..right?
@@theghostofthomasjenkins9643 ...you underestimate how gullible/reckless people will allow themselves to be when they're desperate. I mean... it's just stealing with extra steps.
@@sabertoothno34 it's stealing with a verifiable paper trail, lol.
One of the best comments i saw was, GTA5 didn't let people get away with this... Why would you be able to in real life.
@@LumpyWumpus 🤣🤣🤣🥴
Calling it a “glitch” shows how far removed from reality some people are 😂
You floated a check…check kiting. It’s not now. But it is a felony.
I need people to be afraid of imprisonment and wage garnishment more 😂
The dude thought he invented the rubber check there bounce later in 2024. What a genius.
“I found a trick to get more money! I call it Fraud”
Hell na 😭😭😭
That's just plain and simple gullible greed.
At 9:41... ME TOO! And smash that "finished" button bout 10 times!🤣😂😂😂
@jbva804 I'm not done with a ATM unless I spam the cancel button on the start/swip your card screen.
I actually chased a teenager who forgot to take their card out after finishing
9:50 always wait til the screen goes back to default screen
"Lined up to go directly to jail" 😂😂😂
Not all atms ask that tho. Sometimes it just ends and tells you to take your card before it dispenses money
@trappestarrgaming3422 That's the point of them using the tap feature. The ATM has no way of knowing if your card is still there, and will not close the account until the "no" button is pressed or a sufficient amount of time had passed with no activity.
It was different than physically removing the card, hence why the scammers used glue to block the card reader.
WIRE FRAUD - that is like 10 yrs in jail plus huge fine.
Ban them for 10 years from holding a bank account and or credit card.
The employees should have thought that was suspicious😂
I'm seeing so many vids on thus and it's funny seeing ppl who got caught
DUDE chiseled adonis is hilarious glad he’s getting more recognition
Bring shame and embarrassment back😊
I hope chiseled calls..... CHRIS!!!!
@@rickjazzyroll he called both 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are so right. This is no glitch (well maybe a glitch in their minds). I'm surprised they could write the check. When is the last time they taught check writing in school?
# 0001 I saw a reaction video of a documentary where this guy in Australia who pretty much did something similar to this but he was able to steal like millions of dollars. And was able to get away with it for years. But his guilt got the better of him and turned himself in.
I guess everyone saw that story and got that idea when trying to pull that stunt here.
Half them people just wanted a Happy Meal and a tank of gas. ;) Prices are high but nothing is worth the trouble "free" money brings. Work hard to play hard or don't play at all.
Dude don't pass GO.
39k negative noooo
Paper trail receipts 📜📜
You need tens of thousands for a happy meal and tank of gas? Come on, You know they wanted shoes and henny.
If it was a “glitch” they wouldn’t have wanted people already with a chase account in good standing. A “glitch” would work with whoever they needed the account in good standing for the fraud to work lol
So, I remember long ago you could use a cheque to withdraw money from like a Walmart.
Depositing it though, is a whole different beast. Where did they think the money would come from?
Some people are so dumb
Never underestimate stupid people in large groups
@@seanm7539 there are too many of them
I kited a check once in 1990 was for groceries and was scared as you know what for one day when I got paid. I’d never think of doing this in today’s electronic banking age.
Yeah, uh, make sure the statute of limitations is already passed before sayin this on the web.
@@ScribStat Probably pass that statue of limitations by 10+ years
For those wondering why the bank didn't do anything. Those people are going to owe that money plus interest for a long time to come.
Anyone with even a basic understanding of how the world works knows that there ain't no such thing as free money.
Dude I have to say this was insane man. People believe they can commit fraud and go scott free. HELL Nah. Bruh just grid out through your Job.
I’ve walked up to the atm I use all the time and found people leaving the “do you want a receipt?” Screen up on the atm!!!!! I’m sure enough you can’t get any important information from the receipts but now there’s like 4 options ranging from a normal receipt to a receipt with all your RECENT CHECK DEPOSITS in the two varieties of pictures of the full check or the basic check info and people still leave the atm screen at the “DO YOU NEED A RECEIPT”?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe the people are hoping there account is stolen so all the debts are wiped or some shit
JUST SAY "NO" TO DRUGS!
I haven't looked into this, but if I had to guess, this was timed for one of the days when the bank is closed. Possibly Labor Day. There would be no employees to consult, only the ATM. These folks would be on their own, especially once the banks returned to work the next day.
As much as I've been laughing and giggling at how stupid these people were, I can't also help but feel a sense of dread that this kind of thing is where our future is heading. It's a nervous laughter.
This is what happens when you dont teach finances. Parents, teachers and schools should have taught this. Its called check kiting!!!!! WTF...how do you not know this. It is not a glitch...it is theft. 😂😂😂😂
I would've bought a couple $50 stratchers
I mean entrapment requires force, nobody forced them to do fake check cashing
Yeah, but not even a warning from the bank employees before these idiots make a grave mistake?
@@whatitdodave 👍🏽. Bruh, I’m as flabbergasted as you.

People that do this don't hold on to that money just in case they need to give it back. That money is gone before they find out they're going to jail. I'm starting to suspect that Chase did this intentionally to sort out the deadbeats and get rid of their accounts.
Reminds me of that old scam where you could charge your phone quickly if you stick it in the microwave. Except for the fact that this 'glitch' is actually much worse.
I mean, you can buy a new phone for around $1,000 or so depending on the model you want, and microwaves are affordable if yours got damaged somehow. But hundreds, if not thousands of people have put themselves into a huge amount of debt over this check fraud 'glitch', amounting to several thousands of dollars.
They're going to have some sore butts in prison 😂
Honestly, that’s more of a white collar crime so you would go to like you would still go to federal prison that’s completely different
@@seanm7539 Federal prison is worse. They don't give plea deals and early release. They make you do hard time especially when you try to commit bank fraud. If you get ten years you serve all ten.
They're going to have a lot of fun trying to pay their bills😂
The Tank and Benoit part got me dying💀😭
You know usually if you push yes on the screen they still ask you to put in your PIN number 🧐
This is what happens when you "run plays" off the internet 😂
You were trying to "chase " the bag .soon other ppl will "chase" your commissary
11:55 It's from a Beagie Sigel music video, "Feel It in the Air".
You're guy had me rollin😂 I guess they wanted a nice labor day weekend It was short lived Hope they enjoy their last day of freedom Chase glad to be getting rid of dead weight Now they can keep their honest customers in good standing
I think it’s called Check kiting. Which is illegal people have gone to jail for that.
Honestly, I can understand Chase not stopping people from doing it. The money is insured. They know that they're gonna get their money back. Meanwhile, this is a golden opportunity for them. It's super easy to track people doing this, and they get to rid themselves of a bunch of people who would have used other methods that are harder to track if given the chance.
I agree Chase got rid of all the headach and hassel Be gone!
infinite work at a job money glitch.
It’s a setup they’ll let you get your bread up - Mysonne
I don't know anyone personally who did this!!! But geez, I meet someone yeeeeeaaaars ago who was like, just write a cheque of like 20/30 dollars if you need a few dollars!!! I was sooo shocked and yes, I let them know this is wrong and why!!!!
Yeah, you’re basically stealing from the bank
70 degrees is summer weather
Thing is it's a crime even if you give the money back. It's just harder in court to show damages. And you are likely to lose the money you made if you did this and used that to make money. As there is a thing to where they take money away that they suspect was made in the commission of a crime. A little thing called asset forfeiture. They don't need a court order, they don't need permission, they don't need to charge you, heck they don't even need to tell you. They can take it and it is up to you to prove that you made that money legally. The system is rigged for poor people and so they make people poor and than tell you got to find a way to pay for your lawyers.
Yeah I stay till i see the welcome screen
I also love the DB super music.
Peeps going to federal prison with this one
They used to just call these hot checks in the 80s.
How are you going to blame the bank?😂😂😂
Not blaming them like that, it’s just I would have to expected them to at least issue a warning if you see an alarming amount of people coming in to get themselves in trouble.
That was the dumbest thig I've seen this year. They thought this was GTA Online, but how you gonna try to finesse a company that's been around since the 1800s?!
Has anyone noticed what type people are standing in line?
Rumor has it thats exactly how Chris Benoit took out his family
Lots of atns dont have check deposit slots
They wont get in trouble. They may get a fine but Chase will just eat the cost becauee of who is doing it.
So was the glitch that the whole check was clearing instantly instead of just a certain amount?
I feel like they let people walk out the door with cash on purpose lol
Like catching people that did the ppp cuz they would do this too lol
Prison is an industry so let these fools goto prison. It helps the economy putting them to work for pennies and giving other people jobs.
The guys account was only negative by 40k.All he had to do was deposit an 80k check. He could just double his deposit every day forever. Let's try it at a different bank.
I thought all atms had $600 limit
It was stupid of people, but I know my bank only lets you take 1000 a day out. If you are withdrawing 30K I would suspect something fishy in the bank.
Bro rockstar didn’t let people get away with infinite money glitches what makes them think a multi billion dollar corporation is going to let you get away with finessing them especially when they used an account that they opened using their government name, social security number, address and tons of other identifying information.
What kind of idiot doesn't shut down their account after finishing your business at a cash point machine you even get that screen when you use a slot then when you confirm the machine gives your card back
Its lucky we don't have contactless cash point machines in the UK because it would be an obvious week point for scammers to use against idiots or people who are just in a rush and don't pay attention to what they are doing
No, it really works. Try it.
Any logical thinking person would not fall for this 😂
I can't even believe the ignorance of Chase to not see this inevitably happening. I've had the same bank account for 30 years, and I couldn't do it there. It's almost like Chase was pulling some huge setup. Really, how could this happen any other way than intentionally or utter incompetence ???
Bingo, you nailed it!🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey man, sometimes systems fail. Nothing is infallible, but thinking that every company is out to get you or is in on some “grand scheme” is ridiculous. Also, with the amounts that people were withdrawing, Chase bank ends up LOSING in this situation because now these people won’t have any feasible way of paying it back, so it’s a loss for them. And even if they could get that money back through other means, it’s a long process from start to finish. It’s a pain in the ass for everyone.
The only way I knew about this was through RUclips, didn’t even realize that people were this dumb until now, this is the most unbelievably self incriminating,go straight to jail, mindless criminal behavior ever, ninjas thought they were doing something slick and presto bingo instant….Felony charges.
stupid is stupid does
Who has checks?
They are lucky it is only a 7 day hold and not an Exception hold of 30 days. Hell bank's have their own internal procedure and can place an indefinite hold, as long as, they have legit reason. Chase is traditionally not a bank to begin with. They only got on the retail bandwagon to make more money. A typical bank will not give immediate availability through a ATM and/or mobile banking deposit. I am not defending the people who did this, but shame on Chase. Very poor business practice. 😅
Gonna play devils advocate here..how many of those ppl were legitimate transactions? I'm sure a lot of them were trying g to glitch..but in the pic with the long line some had to be legit.

funny how most of these people are of the darker persuasion. jus sayin
I notice that too Add low class Not too bright
What day do? Who day is? 😅😅
Racial disparities
At least 800,000 people did this. High end 2 million. almost all of them a certain demographic.
I actually did the math. At least 1.5% if not up to 4% of the entire population of that democratic did this. So at the lowest one out of every 50 people in this demographic did this, if not one out of every 25.
And these people vote. Well, maybe not for long. But then again, a certain party needs their vote. And they are a specific demographics. So the state and local prosecutors won’t do anything.
The black culture is DEFINITELY unique! Not that it makes sense, nor should it...
FAKE CHECK = CRIMINAL ACTIVITY= PRISON TIME..............HOW STUPID MUST YOU BE TO DO THIS?
I had Citizens Bank. They would tell me when I would go to deposit money to do it at the ATM. I ALWAYS said NO! One day I gave the teller like 500 bucks and they put it in as 100. I had the slip in hand and told her she needed to fix it because I gave her 500. She kept refusing and said she would call security if I didn't leave. Long story short, Security was called and I was asked to leave. I explained she wont allow me to speak to her boss over the matter and I am not leaving until the issue was resolved. So security got the manager. Her drawer was over and by more than 400. I wasn't the only one she was scamming.
This is why I won't use an ATM. Because you have to wait for the maintenance person to show up and count the machine. This was fixed on the spot. As for her. She had quit while the drawer was being counted.
THIS IS GETTONG OLD TO MANY CHANNELS ARE PISHING THIS AND ITS PLAYED OUT - SORRY GUY
I doubt all these people are going to jail,i believe all will just have to pay back its not that serious i mean look at the pp loan there were so many people participating in that scam its not that serious, people feel so good about themselves when they dont do something bad but later on you find out they weren't crap either
I am not racist but you never see a white one 😅😅
if you do that you do it for so much then get out the country.
Your warrants follow you everywhere. If you think that other countries don't scan your fingerprints and record when you enter and exit then you haven't traveled much internationally. If you have a warrant in the US every country has access to those records when they check your passport and scan your fingerprints upon entry. Other countries don't want criminals in their country. This is 2024, Not 1974. Unless you are going to cross land borders illegally and live a hermit life you will be found. You can't hide anymore in the digital age. Every country that i enter checks my record and scans my fingerprints. The criminal database is shared.
lots of black people e_e ...damn , federal jail gonn be full
