I remember getting the bad end on my first run, but not because I went too fast. I did everything right- I spared Baron Whatshisface, did the Resonant Lightning and got Byleth trapped on the other side. But then goddamn Arval was like "hey, fight the Ashen Demon" and it gave me a side mission, and I immediately did that because I thought that was a hint to something I needed to do. No, it wasn't a hint, Arval was just causing problems on purpose
Knowing Arval and their insistance on killing Byleth even after Shez expresses they think it'd be best to have them as an ally than a foe is a clear red alarm. But I guess that if you don't know beforehand you are most likely to do the side mission unless it explicitly states to "kill" Byleth instead of "defeat" them.
Yeah that's what I ended up doing too. Curse the gamer urge to follow directions and complete missions so we can check them off the list!
Same :/
yup, saaaame
Yup, I did the same also
It's pretty funny that despite all the additions/twists/changes to the formula, musou games have never fixed this issue lol.
There are some Warriors games where you've completed an objective but have to wait through 10+ dialogue options for the game to acknowledge that you've done something and move on to the next objective/battlefield change.
Especially infuriating when you have a timed objective and get stuck waiting through a couple minutes of pointless chatter before a door or something will open.
Do you wanna know a game that doesn't do that and his gameplay is better than this Hyrule warrior basic sh*t ?
Sengoku Basara an underrated game that has the best musuo experience. IMO
Indeed. The true enemy of 3Hopes is playing too fast.
You cleared the whole map so fast only to realized that you still have 500 more enemies required to get the s rank and now the battle ends and you get punished for it
Ahh the feels bad man
Yeah, I had that happen once before realising that if you kill everyone that first spawns in a stronghold before the captain (easy to do with aoe) you'll get the kills easily, after that you just need to keep an eye on time
“Let’s show them the steel faerghus is made out of” *proceeds to die like a true knight*
“proceeds to die like a true knight” DAMN
Rodrigue dies like a true knight
It happened to me in the Azure Gleam counterpart route.
SPOILER ALERTS, ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED. DONT COME WHINE TO ME IF "BOHOOO YOU SPOILED THE GAME".
So basically, in this chapter of Azure Gleam you have to go and defeat Randolph, and my strategy was literally "run in and kill every last one of them". But doing that would only make the game harder and trigger "the bad ending". Basically, among all the strongholds available in the map, there are some which you mustnt capture if you plan then to recruit Jeralt and Co in your army. And to help out with that, there is a special strategy that you must wait for it to fully trigger, or you'll end like me: capture lots of strongholds at the start, then the strategy triggers, but it doesnt work properly because i already have activated the enemy trap. So you have to wait for the game to play itself and then start "kill every last one of them", with some exceptions. The moral of the story is, try to keep your cool when facing a battle where you are told "your actions will bring repercussions in the whole story".
Right, in that chapter, you and your units must avoid certain strongholds so you do not trigger Alois’ ambush. Activating the scouts allows you to see which strongholds to avoid. However, your allies can accidentally enter those strongholds and trigger the ambush, especially the green units who you cannot order to avoid them. So you should order all your allies to defend a location so they do not wander off and actually hurry towards Flache and kill her before your green units enter a stronghold.
BOHOOO YOU SPOILED THE GAME
This is a pain on Hard, especially if you're trying to triple S-rank with meeting the requirement of number of defeated enemies.
It is quite challenging to get the S-rank on the initial run of this level if you're trying to recruit Byleth due to the fact that you are put on a timer of sorts where Rodrigue must be routed before Byleth regroups with him. Furthermore, the enemy Fraldarius reinforcements make good additions to the kill count but are right behind Byleth, which you are supposed to avoid at all costs if you wish to recruit him or her.
My best suggestion is to replay this chapter via the records keeper and go for the bad ending on purpose. Doing so will give you less pressure with the time and more leisure to grt more kills since capturing the strongholds before rescuing the sorcery engineers will not cause Byleth to go where Rodrigue order him or her to do. Without the needing to rush the level due to Byleth needing to regroup with Rodrigue, you'll be able to S-rank this mission easily.
It is also worth noting that in this chapter you will want to make use of New Game Plus to get the good ending on one playthrough and the bad ending on another playthrough of Scarlet Blaze. This is because Scarlet Blaze Chapter 14 has two versions of the Ailell map that play out differently gameplay and story wise - one where you must recruit Byleth and the other where you don't recruit Byleth and kill Jeralt. This way you'll have both versions to replay the chapter 14 map at the Record Keeper.
@@Porygon2ning Really? That may explain the weird case of my first run. Where I tried to actually see if I could recruit Byleth, but basically gave up as for some reason I got a "you've got no choice, they're in your path." pop up
Just use record keeper for that.
Thats what i did.
I know right? I had to quickly fulfill the S rank requirement of enemies defeated while having to kill Rodrigue while the Ashen Demon is on my ass, the scariest moment in my SB playthrough for sure
Always remember folks, to get a good ending, maybe its best NOT to listen to the voices in your head.
Game : No you can't kill the enemy now, there are more things coming !
Players : duduDUdu
Good lord why is GW's version of this so much easier than the other two
Golden Wildfire seems to be the easiest but is also the most prone to the AI just not working at times. Scarlet Blaze to me is the easiest in terms of execution and Azure Gleam is just Azure Gleam
What’s the condition for Azure Gleam, out of curiosity?
@@dumpingstirs1143 You have to use a strategy to spot the ambushers on the enemy strongholds. Then you have to reach a certain location while avoiding said strongholds. Once that's done you are good to go. The last condition is to defeat the final comander before Byleth reaches them.
@@dumpingstirs1143 Get to Randolph and Fleche but Jeralt's Mercenaries are hiding and your AI can trigger them so the strat is to have all of your AI teammates except 1 person huddle up an NPC and then use a strategy to know where the ambushes are
RUclips videos are out but it can be a bit of a mess
@@necasa4919 Well, that seems.. kind of annoying, considering the usual Warriors strategy (for me at least) is capturing strongholds ASAP.
When you like to play fast but Three Hopes is like: "Slow down there, partner. "
Jeez, why in the world is it so much harder to recruit them on the other routes compared to GW? I _accidentally_ recruited Byleth in GW, i honestly didn't think they were the major plot turn of the battle, and since fighting them was a side mission i just thought i wouldn't be able to beat them and it wasn't worth it. It wasn't until after the battle when they joined that it actually clicked that they were the major story divergence.
Claude’s such a great strategist that he makes recruiting Byleth easier.
btw you can sneak into strongholds that get blocked by dark barricades before the barricades are activated and beat the objective locked behind them early at no cost. I showed Solon what's good in the next map or so cause of that.
2:02 "We've come to help Lord- oh"
Yeah definitely still not as bad as azure gleam took me 4 attempts
Me on NG+
I knew I did something wrong here lmao
I learned something about this game today. You can level up characters to the level of your strongest character at the training grounds, and since the characters you buy with renown are all level 50, then if you have the money from starting new game+ you can have all your characters at level 50 by chapter 3
The game is expecting me to slow down? In a Warriors game?
lol first warriors game i seen where you can "fail" for being to fast
By good and bad end do we mean recruit vs kill?
Yup. Unless you have a guide it’s pretty obscure for me that you *have* to have resonant lightning go off to recruit Byleth, even tho the game *does* keep pointing it out “this will turn the tide of battle immensely” etc…it’s very easy to start the battle without getting the strategy of you’re not clearing everything
@@GymnopedieTornado on the other hand I did get the lightning off but still killed jeralt, partially because I wanted that to be my first route, but also I had no idea that I should kill Rodrigue instead of engaging jeralt
You're not playing a warriors game wrong. Games like these does encourage the player to be efficient and fast as opposed to tactical rpg games so I couldn't blame you for speeding through the maps. This game seems be an exception in some parts that require a specific pacing to trigger events.
I really don't like the idea that not recruiting Byleth is a "bad end." Personally. If that's what the video was implying anyway.
Me casually playing that level: I'll take out the strongholds first then help the engies
Hubert: guess we don't need those guys after all
Me: wait what....
Yup. I went too fast my first time too. Had to slow it way down my second playthrough.
I had to play this mission 3 times to get the good ending.
This is what happened to me.
As someone who has not gotten the good end on any route yet I have an idea for this one while aware gleam I have no idea looking at that map but I will figure it out so don’t respond with the solution for like the next 6 months please
You’re not gonna play azure gleam for 6 months?? Okay I guess lol
@@SSlash well It’s probably actually only going to be 3 months but I’m playing through all the routes bad ending first then I’m going to go back and do the good ending on all routes and the order I’m doing is scarlet blaze, Azare gleam, golden wildfire and I have played like 80 hours already so I don’t know if I’m going to be hit by a wave of I’m done playing warriors
So I'm a huge fan of the traditional fire emblem game format, and am deeply reluctant to get this warriors style sequel, despite loving 3h... trying to avoid spoilers, but also see if it's worth getting...
Koei Tecmo also worked on Three Houses, so the game does a good job of feeling like a Fire Emblem game with warriors gameplay rather than a Dynasty Warrior's game with a Fire Emblem skin. My biggest gripe is that there weren't as many supports as I would prefer (especially with Blyat) but they do implement the weapon triangle in, advantages, etc into the game as best as I think a musou game physically can, and I personally think Scarlet Blaze OVERALL was a lot better than Crimson Flower (probably because it wasn't rushed).
But yeah, I think the biggest hurdle is the musou gameplay.
You have to consider what you value more, gameplay or story/characters. If it's the former then you'd be best to drop this as the game style is very different. If it's the later then I'd say it is worth it. The game really does feel like playing Three Houses all over again outside of how the battles are played.
Has a fan of both I was honestly very much put off by the trailers, and having later watched videos about 3 hopes I can say they were proved true. Without giving you much spoilers I'll just say that 3 hopes regularly disrespects pre-established lore (and not in a good way), and the general writing is not really that good.
Dynasty warriors itself was never an accurate portrayal of the Romance of the three kingdoms (nor Romance an accurate portrayal of historical events for that matter) but none of it felt downright disrespectful to the source material has 3 hopes can feel.
@@sanicyack1691 Don't want to get into spoilers but I disagree that Three Hopes disrespected existing lore
@@sanicyack1691 the game is pretty consistent lorewise. It is basically a what if for byleth's uninvolvement with the main plot.
0:50: Big Facts.
I just finished the Bad Ending on Azure Gleam (I made a copied save file before I did Chapter 12 in case I did get the Bad Ending).
Honestly, there's apparently an arrow that shows you where to go to avoid getting spotted by Alois. However, I didn't know that and thought the strategy engaged would PREVENT ambushes, not give you a way around. Because of that, Alois spotted me quite easily.
To make matters worse, I didn't even S rank the chapter so I could get the Tathlum Bow either. Crap.
I like how Rodrigue just disappeared like he got deleted from existence lmao
also holy crap the English voice acting in this game is flat
507,904 total damage
And I thought Awakening's stat inflation was bad
Honestly something like that is nothing
By stacking damage with Balthus before doing a warrior ability , I managed to do 900k damage
Worse part is , he was level 30
