Thanks for watching and Happy Painting!!
Self doubt in a paint project is my middle name . THANK YOU for sharing this part as well. Your project is perfection. It’s giving me the will power needed to finish up a massive armoire and give it style . Much much appreciated ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awesome! Thank you! Would love to see your massive armoire.
@@JunkdUp que maravilla de trabajo!! Gracias ❤❤. Para cuándo los subtítulos en español por favor???🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think your creativity and color sense are off the charts, I admire your work a lot. I also appreciate your honesty, a lot of us have these issues. While I like painted old crummy furniture and while I think this piece turned out cool, I wouldn’t have painted this birdseye maple cabinet, the wood was so pretty to me. Thanks for sharing your thinking and process, I learn a lot from you. I used the frottage technique on my living room walls with thin plastic that house painters use to mask with along with glaze. I didn’t smooth it with my hands, though.
I bet your walls look amazing
@@JunkdUp People do seem to like them, but I’m kind of tired of them after 15 years, lol!
I totally understand that!
I love your sharing the honesty of your insecurities through the process. I’ve never heard anyone else express their doubts. I’m exactly like you in that regard but felt like I was the only one. The finished piece is beautiful! Deepest thanks for this video, BJ.
Thank you Brenda. I figure if I struggle then other people must also. And we should all band together!
It turned out fantastic! Really looks authentically aged + vintage yet hip + funky
Which kinda sums up her style, right?! I love BJ’s aesthetic.
It is kinda my style isn’t it?!
This is one of my favorite pieces of yours CJ . I too go through self doubt & panic with certain projects. Thank you for sharing 😊✌
You are so welcome!
Just gorgeous! Liquid Sunshine - what a fabulous name.
It really is!
I love texture
I missed this video until now. Gorgeous! So glad I watched it!
I have all those feelings and I am just starting out
I love it. My favourite transfer they've ever made. And you've really featured it beautifully. I hear you on the self-doubt thing. And the procrastination. Good fun being human:)
Being human is hard
love this project... great colors and techniques! I can totally relate with every feeling you mentioned.
It’s a struggle.
Great piece. The yellow almost looks metallic really nice.
Thank you
Looks so great
That is so amazingly stunning 😍 I am blown away. It is great to hear humility from someone so talented 🧡🧡🧡
Thank you. Every word of it is true. I struggle. And beat myself up because I can’t paint a piece of furniture a week. I wish I could. But I’ve come to accept that I can only do what I can do. I truly enjoy painting and if I pushed myself to do more I’m afraid it will take a lot of the enjoyment out of it
Love 💘. It! Great job. Love the color combination
Thank you! 😊
Hi BJ, it’s a beautiful piece. Just a note to say how much I always appreciate your authenticity. I relate to this so much.
Thank you. I strive to be authentic.
Perfection!
I adore this one!
Thank you
Beautifully done 💚🌟👏
Thank you! 😊
Love the texture! You had some great tips. Thanks, BJ!
Glad it was helpful!
This is beautiful ❤ have faith in your intuition
Gorgeous 🎉
Thank you! 😊
True er words never spoken BJ. Thank you for this ❤
I've been working away on a design using Bungalow bit by bit for about 10 days now. I don't know what it is about me but I always seem to choose the most complex of designs! 😜...I have a feeling I must need to challenge myself, not sure why lol!
Congratulations on a beautiful design ❤
Currently have multiple projects lined up, but I can’t get myself to move. 😅 glad I’m not the only one, because inspiration comes along eventually, sometimes in the form of a RUclips video. Thank you. ❤
You can do it!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful
Thank you so much
Awesome!!!
Thanks!!
So gorgeous!! I am inspired to bring out my inner artist 🎨!
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
Good tutorial. It was helpful. I get nervous about using new techniques . Beautiful work!! Love how it came out. Thank you
Thank you. Don’t be nervous. It’s just paint!
Just beautiful and vintage looking! Great job with the frottage technique which I know very little about… but want to try… the transfer is so well blended with piece and looks like it belongs there.
It’s my version of frottage anyway 🤣
I am so new to this and I was wondering if I was even cut out for it. Thank you so much for making me feel like I’m not alone in this self-doubt. I really loved how your piece came out. Beautifully done. ❤ ❤ ❤
So here’s the deal with being new- your self doubt will be even worse for two reasons:
1. You don’t know how to trust yourself yet because you don’t have the experience to know that everything will work out
2. You see loads of beautifully and artistically painted furniture on social media and get discouraged if yours doesn’t look like that.
Give yourself permission to be new! It’s exciting. You’re learning and figuring out what you like to do and what you don’t. You’re learning what comes natural to you and what you are challenged by. And that’s right where you’re supposed to be. Everybody starts at the beginning.
I’m a process person meaning I truly enjoy the process of creation. I like creative problem solving and I like learning how things work. The end result is just the end result of that process.
You got this. Enjoy where you are. ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely beautiful boy I can relate to the self-doubt and procrastination lol lol lol. All in all your work is stunning thanks for your inspirational creative work God Bless.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
I can really relate totally of everything you say. I feel just the same and have the similiar kind of thoughts when I paint. 😅 The story is great. This peace is so gorgeus, I would buy it to my house. Love it how it turned out!🤩 🤩🤩 ❤
Thank you so much. I’m glad my words resonated with you. ❤️❤️ Happy painting!

I really enjoyed this video. Beautiful work, wonderful artist.
Thank you so much
LOVE this project and love that you're vulnerable and real! Looking forward to your next project! PS. I dreamt of painting a piece in these colors last night! 💖💚💛
Thank you. It’s taken me a long time to be able to be a little vulnerable.
Just LOVE the texture, colors and the way the transfer seems to blend so well with the textured paint. It doesn't just sit on top. Always enjoy your videos and your unique style. Your intuition proves to be is much more successful than not. You are absolutely one of my favorite furniture artists. I also love 'Made by Marley' videos, which if you haven't viewed her work, there is much you have in common. Very different, but both of you testing the limits. www.youtube.com/@MadebyMarley
Thank you so much for your continued support. I am grateful. I am familiar with Made by Marley. She has great style.
Hi BJ. Thank you so very, very much for sharing. I feel exactly the same way. I get overwhelmed with all of the prep work. I just want to do fun painting work. It has gotten to the point that I examine each "candidate" carefully to avoid any pieces that need extensive (or any) repair work. So, I truly appreciate you sharing your feelings. I totally relate.
Thank you for making this video. You are a very talented artist and a wonderful teacher.
By the way, there is a Scottish Lady, Lel, on channel "Made by Marley" (www.youtube.com/@MadebyMarley) who tries not to be too concerned about being perfect in her furniture art work. It is helping me to become more relaxed by watching her not worry so much about imperfections, be it furniture imperfections or the way she paints her pieces.
Beautiful work.
Thank you.
Striving for perfect will kill all creativity. Thank goodness I don’t have a problem with that and I whole heartedly embrace the imperfections.
@@JunkdUp Yes, awesome. And I see that you already know all about Lel. Ha, ha.
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Maravilloso!!
Thank you! Now go add lots of art and drama to your house!
Wow, stunning piece ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!
Wow. That's beautiful
Thank you
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊

Thank you
This is so beautiful & exactly the colour story Ive been searching for! Ive been looking for inspiration & I found you! 🎉 new sub..
Yay!!! Thank you
Just come across your Channel loved this piece beautiful 😊
Thank you so much!
So beautyfull ❤❤❤ i love the colours. I wonder if you ship DIY Paint to Germany since you live in Kopenhagen?
I don’t live in a Copenhagen any longer. We returned back to the United States last summer.
Even if I were still in Copenhagen I couldn’t ship you DIY Paint as I was not selling DIY Paint in Europe. I just had my own supply with me for my projects and not for sale. I’m sorry 😞
Hi AJ… your last short. I gorgeous night table or side table where the base colour was orange crush, I think. Will you have a full video on how to? Let me know I ADORE it ❤. Diane
The sunset color one? I just did that one last weekend while teaching a live paint class so I didn’t get video footage. It was my first time teaching a start to finish class live and in-person and I was so focused on getting it finished and answering questions I couldn’t video.
I’ve had multiple requests so I will recreate it for a tutorial.
A live class. How fun. Well if you decide to recreate with same colours it would be WOW 🤩 thanks for the quick reply. Have a great day and weekend 👍😘🤗❤️🇨🇦❤️
Sorry it’s BJ. Oops 😮
No worries. I’ve been called worse 🤣
