- We are on our Alaskan cruise aboard the NCL Encore heading towards our first destination, Juneau. We hope you are enjoying our journey and if you are just tuning in for the first time, welcome! In Juneau we booked an excursion to go to Mendenhall Glacier and a whale watch. As you will see we were very fortunate to have great sunny weather and a ton of humpback whale sightings. Thank you a million times for posting this video! It completely verifies and confirms my belief that Alaska is boring. I was hoping to see something in your video that would convince me to go on a cruise to Alaska. I'm from Miami, Florida and cruise all around the Caribbean. Mountains are mountains, although the ones I've seen in my part of the world are smaller and covered with green. If you like whale watching, San Diego was excellent. This video cemented my idea that although I'm retired, got some money to spend on cruising, Alaska is simply not for me.
Just found your channel. I just booked our Norwegian Encore Alaskan cruise, Haven, aft facing balcony...for September 2025. Yikes...that seems like forever from now. My fella is a big foodie, so thank you for all of the food commentary! It helps me know I made the right decision for booking the Haven. Great job and can't wait to see the next video!

Thank you for this video, we are booked on the encore this July, and by you just filming the entire walk from the bus to the falls gives me an idea of how far I will be walking. I was not sure I would be able to do this walk, but it doesn’t look too bad! Great informative video! Off to watch your other videos!

I do have one more question,! I think it was in Ketchikan….the one where you had a long walk from the ship to the town….i saw big golf carts bringing people who have difficulty walking. Do I have to book that in advance or just find one when I disembark? Thanks for your help!
The golf carts were available as soon as you disembark. There were two of them making their rounds to bring people to the warehouse at the end of the dock. There are also plenty of staff available to answer your questions as you disembark.
