I know this is an old post now, but I still made one how you did it. But, I drilled a hole through the dolly near the handle to put a length of rope with a big knot in the end to pull the dolly along. You'll be surprised how easier it makes moving heavy items this way and also less chance of pushing or pulling the item onto you or someone else. And it's easily pulled over a small ramp, etc.
I found a heavy duty galvanized steel dolly in a skip and it is a great piece of kit. In the same skip was the bottom portions of letter bag holders and with the tops remove it gives me seven dollies or 28 industrial castors. The things companies throw out !.
@@Badgerworkshop I'm still in the Stone Age. I have some bricks laying around in my shop which I use for holding things down/together after gluing and also sometimes as a stop block for the miter saw.
Another great little project completed, I have already done this last year, I made two of them and they are a surprisingly useful thing to have around. Good luck with the move.
Great video for me also!! Exactly what I needed! I had thought about putting strips of carpet on top of mine to prevent sliding. Not sure if thats a good idea or not.
@@Badgerworkshop mate, just think of the hits that vid would have got though! 🤘😎🤘 Bwahahhahahahaha 😂 Probably a good thing you didn't, considering the monumental move and all....
The only reason why I didn’t like your video is because you wasn’t rude, you didn’t shout, screamed and swore, you didn’t kicked things about, because that’s what I do when things go wrong.

Great tip for the leather strap placed to carry the dolly. Excellent other information.
I like your straight forward projects. No complicated things when not necessary.
Thank you
useful dolly around the workshop even if not moving. Looking forward to new workshop projects.
Thank you. Yes im sure it will get used all the time

That sounds a great find. I love a good free find
looks like a totally doable project for a fairly new DIY-er!
I like your use of the railroad track. I also have a 24" section that my dad got some 50 years ago (former railroad engineer). Nice video.
Thank you. I use it all the time

The non slip tape is better but carpet will hold pretty good too mam.
Very useful things dollys, I cheated though & picked a couple up from lidl, definitely not as strong as yours but good enough for my needs
Thanks Steve. I did look first but they did not have any
awesome. What are the dimensions of the dolly? Also are you using 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch ply?
Cool video made fast and a great helper, greetings from Germany
Thank you Ralf
An excellent tutorial! I think I shall make one for my own nefarious uses!
Thanks Scott
Hahaha, almost expected you to ride it out of the shop...😂
Decent size, should prove tone quite versatile in the shop, no doubt.👌
Good job, mate 👍
Thanks Bill. I dod think about riding it but thought it would not end well

It turns out Matt is the reason the railways in the south have been shit all this time :D He's been nicking the track!
See I get blamed for everything
I hired a dolly but the clearance was not high enough. I suspect the length of it was prob...
Nice skateboard :D
