If you want to take a risk and try to get the best HC and bring in good players/coaches, the get rid of Pittman.

Yikes, seeing those numbers added up is bleak. Even Bielema's teams turned in mostly competitive performances at Razorback Stadium, despite losing many of those games. This is the problem with Yurachek's apparent desire for continuity by keeping Pittman: when fans are paying $100+ for tickets to home games and are getting three low-energy beatdowns for every win vs. a team of Tennessee's caliber, they're going to stop supporting the program. It's unlikely that a new HC will flip the script in one season, but if Arkansas retains Pittman fans have no reason to get excited for 2025.

I understand that any fan base should always want to have a better team, but Arkansas was already clearly in the bottom half of the conference before Texas A&M, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas joined. There will be exceptions but in most years all those programs will be stronger too which means Arkansas is stuck in the bottom third of the conference at best. Maybe bottom quarter. There has been ONE top ten finish at Arkansas since 1982, with a ton of coaches in that time. It's just what it is and will continue to be. Any notable success will be a rare outlier. @@slytlygufy Absolutely not! Not when we had the best run we have ever had as a program. The University made a decision to fire a coach that has set this program back so badly, and one that we haven't recovered from. We had good strong years under Houston Nutt and then moved to Bobby Petrino and set the SEC on Fire. Everybody had to take notice that Arkansas was next up! I can't forgive the UofA for that until they make it right. It was an extremely poor business decision. Our NIL would be over flowing with money if we had kept Bobby as HC. His tenure would have set the UofA up to be a destination for college athletes!
the u of a has not given sam 50 million to go buy players and hes competing with a lot f 2 and 3 star players. the ad will not fire sam without giving him a fair chance. nobody wanted the job when sam was hired. the top teams in the conference are paying 8 million and up for a head coach. the u of a is willing to pay 5. maybe they dont believe in the nil. i know i dont.
Hurt em where it hurts the most. Money. Stop renewing your season passes, don’t give them a penny for NIL. Taylen Green is sweet as apple pie. Buddy looks like when your mom tells yo to get into the room before you get belt to ass. Offense line is god awful. Letting people in the A GAP.
I want him back! Don't count me in the number of wanting him gone. All these coaches need some time to gel with BP offense. This negative energy isn't helping the players!!!!
Sam needs to go. He has had 5 years. His O-line has sucked the last two and he is an O-line coach by trade. He can't adjust to the new NIL environment like other coaches have. He not motivational, his game plans have been bad, better this year with the new assistant coaches however its still on Sam and in the last 5 years we have been meh overall. Even worse we suck a home. All of this for the price of $5 million a year. That is a awful ROI.
I think it's also Petrino is trying to use what he's actually in offense, which he doesn't really have much of an Oline to work with, so he's got to try to conjure up some really crazy stuff at times, but then you have Green running Backwards when he gets pressure, instead of going forward like Singleton & most QB's do, but if you've watched Green very closely, he's usually going backwards when he gets some good Pressure, & he also holds the ball to long, instead of getting out of there & making a few yards to breaking a good run....... I think it's time we see a lil more Singleton, he's got a better Progression, seems like he sees the field a lot Quicker, makes quicker, better decisions sooner than Green does, plus Singleton has a more Accurate arm too......
I have complely lost interest in the football program. It is HDN all over again. Win the games you should, win 1 maybe you shouldn't, go 500 for the year, go to a low level bowl game and brag about how great the season was, and be happy about going to the Indpendence bowl, or the Liberty bowl and beating Kansas! And to make things worse, Pittman is coming back next year! We are at least 2 years away from even being competitive again, if Sam gets fired or retires. If Sam stays, it will take even longer! Arkansas plays to their opponents level alot of times. Can't explain how or why but it's been like that for awhile. That's why we beat tennessee and almost lost to UAB
I’m as disappointed as anybody because I see the potential. However, can we reasonably expect Arkansas to be better than 6-6 or 7-5? That’s kind of who we are and who we’ve been minus a few exceptions.
Dude there ain’t no way we should be worse than 7-3 right now. THATS who we are. We KNOW we are better but fans like you who are contempt with mediocrity is one of the reasons why we won’t ever take that next step
@ I play no part in any of the steps that the program takes. Here’s a fun fact for you. We’ve averaged 6.5 wins a season since 1998 (Houston Nutt’s first year here).
Only way Pittman stays is win out with bowl win. 8 total wins brings him back but with seat flaming hot for a much needed season 6 8 win regular season minimum.
The Oklahoma state loss looks worse with every passing week.
Rants about how every game is a 50/50 chance of winning or losing. Did you expect? I didn’t!
7-5 is a very average season and should be the floor of any season. It's certainly not an acceptable record as your typical season!! It's not only the losses, but you got your ass handed to you by Ole Miss, Texas, LSU..Arkansas loses to the good teams, so the wins don't matter! .Thank goodness we didn't have to play Georgia!
look at next year's schedule.....i'll say 4-8 right now......have Ark St, Memphis and Notre Dame!!.....on the road to LSU, Texas, Tenn and Ole Miss.......show us something to look forward to.....
😂
Pittman isn’t going anywhere. Once you accept that you can move one with being mediocre I guess. Win the last two and that is a little shot in the arm but next year is shaping up to be tougher than this one.
Another thing is. Until the big money says there will be change the fans don’t have much of a say so
So basically what is going on is sam pittman is holding the university hostage in the some of 6 million a year and a big Ole retirement plan without accountability and its the fans have to accept it because the AD oked a ridiculous contract renewal after only one year winning all of 3 games, continues to recruit at the bottom of the conference and lies every time he gets in front of a microphone , real nice job u of a, the fan base that supports this deserves everything they get
@@russellwright5788 I agree the ones who support it do deserve it. The problem is the majority of us DONT. So we don’t deserve it. And the ones who do support it truly don’t give a damn about winning. All they want is the games to be social events. People like that make me sick
@AaronWojhoski-ih2wm what's bad is the fan base today is not the fan base of old, you are right about it being a social event and not about winning
Basketball is not all that hot yet I hope they can start making thier shots
It's turnover margin, nothing else. But, bad teams turn the football over too much.
If your not in the top 25 in our conference your probably not gonna do much. Well play a lot better teams in our conference than well play in any other conference. Problem is 5 stars arent gonna be beat many 3 stars. Winng gets you better player's, but money does you better. So pay up or shut up. That goes for coaches and players.
Wait until y’all play Arch Manning next year it will be even worse haha
I ask this question all the time: what does sam pittman do well?
Hire fantastic coordinators and lets them do their jobs.
@ soooo nothing someone else cant do?
Sam is a great great dude. But lets be honest. He is a position coach not a HC. Put Bobby P in at the HC spot and lets go with Singleton in at QB. He's a gamer! When its game time he is switched on!! The SEC is just too much for Taylen Green.
Y'all just won't accept the Board isn't making BP HC, will you?
💯
Stop betting on your heart. Vegas controls all sports.
New coach gonna fix ya? Ha BUY BETTER PLAYERS
What future at Arkansas?
Yeah but who can they hire…
Nick Saban is available!!🤷♂️. I’m just saying
Well Bobby has not been all that either he doesn’t play the right players
Hire the best winning coach in Arkansas ! Don't hire a millionaire .They don't worry about losing their job !
Y'alls are a bottom mid tier SEC team what do y'all expect
23-24. and 11-22 SEC says it all. Pittman needs to retire.
7/5 season…keep Sam. Let him have another year with Petrenio offense
Petrino screwed up not pulling that head drooping QB early. BUY BETTER PLAYERS. Your not good enough to whine so much.
Start Singleton the rest of the year ,give him more experience ,in time he could be very good ,Green is not a good Q.B
Exactly. Thank you
😂😂😂
He can’t I’m done with Pittman and his excuses
If Sam really loved the program, he would step down and put his pride behind him. We're screwed
If texas was in the west they would have 3 loses lol for sure. They are not winning the title
Well we know right now Arkansas isn't winning jack and hasn't since Jerry Jones played for them 😂
@Slick_Nick7567 good one nick real thought out.
@@Ghost.of.Nothing Well, the last title was when Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones were on the team. That is a pretty long time, almost A&M levels of irrelevant
Arky fans are some of the worst as fans. Bill board types who fly banners.
The fans are very patent with a football program that under achieve for the last twelve years. You might want to check yourself! #WPS
Get out of here troll
