  • In this edition of Curator Conversations, we are talking with Nathan Turner, Regional Director, Oklahoma Historical Society, about the history of the US Marshals and their presence in Guthrie and Oklahoma Territory during the 1889 and 1893 Land Runs, the era of the Doolin and Dalton Gangs, and the eventual move of the capitol from Guthrie to Oklahoma City.
    =========================
    The United States Marshals Museum is a national museum located on the riverfront in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Once open, we will tell the story of our nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency from its establishment by President George Washington through current day. The Museum will honor the sacrifice of Marshals killed in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to place their lives in harm’s way as they enforce the Constitution.
