An amazing experience - the moments in your life that will be emblazoned on your mind forever, you've produced a stunning film of both the beautiful bleak ambience and the frenetic action Graham. Awesome. Loved seeing that partial albinistic Oystercatcher. So glad you've put the link to Chris' film up - this is a fight that's long overdue and apathy just wont cut it anymore. Bravo. Si.
That is absolutely amazing. I would love to see that in real life. A wonderful film, awesome footage. Thank you also for the sharing the film on the mountain hare. What a useless waste of such a beautiful creature. Thanks so much for all you do. Davin
Have lost count of the times i have been to snettisham and seen this spectacle, last year I met a couple from Texas, who had never seen such a concentration of birds before, not just waders either, but all species, they were both dumbstruck by the sheer volume of birds at the wash! I was around the corner from you on sunday having a lovely stroll round Wolferton Bog, i say lovely, i got soaked, windswept and chilled to the bone, usually by now lizards are appearing but i didnt see any, too cold at the moment but give it a few weeks and there will be plenty to see there, as well as adders basking on the boardwalks!
A simply fantastic show Graham i would have loved to have been there,i wont watch the mountain Hare film it would probobly give me a heart attack with rage.
Thanks very much, I would say around a couple of hours, as soon as the tide turns they start to fly back in bigger and bigger flocks and then you get that huge main flock of Knot that fly back:-)
Hi, It’s always been quite early in the year when I’ve been, if you Google Snettisham wader spectacular you should be able to find the tide times because it has to be a high tide and you have to get there at least 30 minutes before it starts and it’s quite a long walk from the car park, hope this helps.
Beautiful Graham, what a huge swarm of Oystercatchers and Golden Plovers. This is heaven for birdwatchers.
Thanks, Snettisham is one of the best sites in the UK and the huge flock of waders with the Oystercatcher were Knot:-)
Yes, I saw that, and it is close to the Netherlands!
