the amount of beauty in this car is overwhelming. i just noticed how the paddle-shifters are edgy like a stealth-fighter jet, just like the whole outside of the body is. i love how lamborghini pays attention to detail like that
Gotta say, Car & Driver gets the cinematography pretty well! Great transitions between car noise & scenes, together with a great balance of background music & speaker. Good stuff guys! Keep up the good work :)
Another great video C&D. Your RUclips videos are really starting to equal the quality of your magazine (which is a VERY high benchmark)! Can't wait for the next review.
Absolutely FANTASTIC,...I never thought that CAR and DRIVER review is gonna this darn good...Maybe you guys needs to this kind of review more often to attract more Car-Fanatics. By the way I love the Aventador in that Orange color,...Man...I wish I was the Presenter "AKA" the DRIVER...!!!
Nice to see a new face and angle for C&D but more importantly, a presenter who has his finger on the pulse of things. Car and Driver really needed a European flavour and Jethro being a cinematographer definitely offers something different and a more cohesive approach. Keep it up, C&D.
Just discovered this video. Jethro is fantastic in this video. And his Ruf Yellowbird segment is among the best videos on youtube. Can you please grab an F40 next??!?
Ive owned my Aventador for a couple months now. Despite some people hating the ISR, I think it's amazing but I agree with the first half of the video regarding city driving. It is very sluggish and if you're stuck in traffic the gear box goes into N. Supposedly it helps with clutch wear but when you put your foot on the gas the car doesn't want to move and jerks. It's really a weekend car, I take it out on Sundays and on the highway if I can, it's not made for city driving.
In automatic mode you have to wait for it to shift out of neutral after every stop? That seems like it would be ridiculously annoying. Why not just use manual mode?
I like what C/D has been doing the last couple months. A few years ago there channel has crappy edited videos and there seemed to be a video every couple of months. But now that they have more videos and alor more to take care of they just need to tweak the settings on it and they should have one of the better car youtube channels out there.
I've seen both of them side by side at the King Of Prussia mall where I live. I have to tell you that even though the Ferrari is absolutely stunning ( my personal fav Ferrari) the Aventador wins hands down. The way the cars were parked you had to walk past the Ferrari first, to see the Lambo, and thats exactly what happened people walked past the Ferrari to see the Lambo. It truly is an awesome car
Oh my god what an absolutely gorgeous car!!!! And based on the grin on your face while driving it id say you had a fun time :) wish i got to testdrive one haha
Last Christmas my family bought me a coupon for a 45 minute ride in the car of my choice. I picked a GTR because it had a stage 2 turbo kit and was the fastest car there. I wanted to drive the viper but I hadn't learned stick yet. Anyway the lady who came for the ride was trying to sell me on buying a track day ticket where I would get a chance to drive ALL their cars on the track. It woulda been somewhere around $1000, but maybe you can look into it in your area if you're that interested.
true but the best sounding cars are naturally aspirated and its not just sound its turbo lag no turbo cars are more direct. For example the new s8 sounds good but the older maserati quattroporte gts sounds a lot better but there will be more turbos and small engines because of gas prices and co2
I dont think you will remember me but I met the camera crew in a porsche panamera, the driver of the Aventador, and the actual car outside City of Westminster college :)
@i7rs Do you think the 458 Italia is better looking? I've seen it in person, but not the Aventador. I know that Lambos are usually outrageous in design....and I am not a fan of that. But many people are drawn to that sort of thing. I love the design of the 458.
Will CARandDRIVER ever offer an opportunity (probably contest) for the average person to have a day in a dream car like this? Maybe call it the "Blue Collar Dream Day", to cruise such a beautiful car in their hometown. (escorted by a pro I'm sure) I would kill a man to drive a Lambo from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Los Alamos, New Mexico, Via a route through Jemez Springs. One of the most beautiful drives I've ever seen during autumn leaves.
I tried the Gallardo on a track and the worst is the paddle shift not turning with the stearing wheel...cant believe its still the same on this car how much will we have to spend...
OMG, that noise! 8:33 There is no other car that sounds like that. What an engine. What a car.
it is the best sounding car in the world
+Channel Kevin
LFA, F12 and 458 spider, Alfa Romeo 8C and Porsche Carrera GT sounds better!
just bought one last night, very happy with my purchase.
and then i woke up....
God this is one of the best looking Lamborghini they have made in a long long time.
I love watching videos like this. 9 minutes and 28 seconds of peace in my life.

the kid at 2:11 not getting the wave back lmao
hahahaha
the Aventador is just a stunning car, it looks so fantastic, sounds mental and goes crazily fast
458 Speciale looks better to me!

Finally. Real video of Aventador on a track
Nice to have Jethro contribute to C&D, and this vid is like watching an Evo magazine issue on video....beautiful scenery and sound...
Nice to see a new face and angle for C&D but more importantly, a presenter who has his finger on the pulse of things. Car and Driver really needed a European flavour and Jethro being a cinematographer definitely offers something different and a more cohesive approach.
Keep it up, C&D.
Thank you for showing some love for this car. It has gotten too much hate and you guys had just made my day with this.
The closing shots are outstanding, nicely done guys.
Just discovered this video. Jethro is fantastic in this video. And his Ruf Yellowbird segment is among the best videos on youtube. Can you please grab an F40 next??!?
just grab one? Is it really that easy?

I don't like how the front of the Aventador look.
In automatic mode you have to wait for it to shift out of neutral after every stop? That seems like it would be ridiculously annoying. Why not just use manual mode?
How does it sound when a cylinder bank switches off? (I6 mode)
this car almost 10 years old bust still looks like fresh
we need more of these kind of reviews going forward.
beautiful cinematography! give the dp a raise amazing work!
LOOOOl @ 2:11 the kid in the blue jacket was just about to give him the finger HAHAH
This video is beautiful! Thanks for the great info and review on the car!
I love how he rips on it, like who can compare to a car as elegant as that?
I like how he doesn't make himself look like a badass driving that Lamborghini

Love it! One issue though... Why are the flappy paddles not attatched to the steering wheel? Isnt it a bit annoying when they are stationary?
Very good review from Jethro. Nice photography too from Mark.
man this dude is HYPED about that car but i cant tell that you are over exxegerating though because i never driven it or even seen it. good job bro
Oh my god what an absolutely gorgeous car!!!! And based on the grin on your face while driving it id say you had a fun time :) wish i got to testdrive one haha
Nice review! Can't wait for more!
2:11 ok he gave you the finger... lol
Great Review! Cool view from the inside....nice low roof line.
& That Noise!!! Sweet music:)
Don't really like the looks of it. The side vents are too huge, and the front end looks pointy like crab claws.
Keep up the good work Jethro!
Great review!
I really like this Jethro guy. A lot more than the American correspondents I've seen on C&D.

awesome review, cool video, and that shot at 3:05... stunning!
I like this host, all his videos (including ones for EVO) are so good. He's like a well-mannered Chris Harris lol
no turbos. the way it should be
I agree , but there are some really nice sounding turbo cars
true but the best sounding cars are naturally aspirated and its not just sound its turbo lag no turbo cars are more direct. For example the new s8 sounds good but the older maserati quattroporte gts sounds a lot better but there will be more turbos and small engines because of gas prices and co2
Listen to the new AMG cars. They literally sound better than the SLS black series with two turbos on
Perfect review
A very nice review and experience, I really enjoyed it. On par with a Chris Harris review...that's about the best compliment i can give.
Great review of an awesome car! This may be the coolest looking car in the world IMO! We won't even mention that engine!!
I dont think you will remember me but I met the camera crew in a porsche panamera, the driver of the Aventador, and the actual car outside City of Westminster college :)
Those people's reactions, "OOOHHZ!!! I just saw a Lambo, oh I've got ta' take a pikcha of dis!"
Shit I'd be mad if my phone was dead at the time.

it is great to see Car&Driver produces such a great shows without copy the style from TopGear.
Top video, love the Aventador.
Love that response ^.^
Love your channel guys (and gals)
He's a pretty good journalist. Some of his other videos like the one for the 458 Italia are better.
Very good episode.
The monster is back!
no other cars sounds like this
Jasmin Chauhan
Murcielago LP640 sound MUCH better and more pure
Nicely done!
The smile on his face is so funny.
Sweet review
More from him please!
Wonderful ending song!
1:28 man!!! can't get enough with that boy......
the voice of the person driving the lambo has no 'omph' and therefore kills the glorious ora of the car.
He looked like he was 6 years old @ 8:16. Pure glee!
At 8:35, my ears started having a gasm. I'm going to play that bit again. And again. And again.
The shift shock at 4:31 nearly broke his back! And no, that is not a complaint.
Lamborghini will always remain super car since it was launch 60 years ago by its founder😮❤
LOL that kid in blue jacket just flicked off the camera 2:10
you should do more battle of the beaters
The interior satisfies the nerd in me.
Next time, upload the full 48 hours please :p
sneaky middle finger at 2:11 hahahahha
The age of TV is over, welcome everyone to the age of RUclips!
Shit, I'd whip out my phone in a heart beat if I saw one of these too.
People be like "OMG itz a Lambo oh me gotz ta' take a pictah of this lol"
True. I think that yellow or the orange-red color is the best though.
There should be more videos with this guy.
It sounds incredible
Wow. What a big man. His parents must be so proud, lol.

so freakin love this car!!!!
Jethro does reviews for CAR too right? he's good!
I just figured it out.. I need to start my own youtube auto channel so I can test drive all the monsters.
Nice video!
you guys should do a show on the croatian rimac concept one. the fastest car on electricity in the world :P
Thanks
I Wonder If Jethro Bovingdon Knows How Much Of A Legend He Really Is?
the lakeside road at 7:55 is awesome .....
Beautiful! Nice body, engine, & interior! 8.5
Miss you aventador v12 ❤
Damnit, now I can't stop looking at that.
man, I want to drive that road in an Aventador!!
I tried the Gallardo on a track and the worst is the paddle shift not turning with the stearing wheel...cant believe its still the same on this car how much will we have to spend...
This is one of those cars that if I actually owned it I would rarely ever drive it
Looks so fun.
This Car is built for the big flat out Desert roads in the USA south west & the new Mclaren MP4 is built for GP type racing.
Is the engine intentionally slightly offset from the driver? I just guessing, because some manufacturers have tried that in the past.
That's not red that's arancio Argos(red orange) which still looks amazing. Matte black is amazing but if I had a lambo I want it to pop out
@ 2:12 that kid in the blue jacket went from waiving at you to flipping you off haha not sure if you guys caught that.
i wish i could drive one of these, only once in my life.
Look better, the x-frame is well lined up with the chassi but the engine is not centered, goes some cm to the left.
Oh how I love the Italians! Damn those people know how to make cars!
My English is not so good, can't understand it so well,
Is it a good car for a city drive??? Is it smooth enough for that???
I say the Aventador had to be the single greatest car of the 21 century!! Probably won't be another car like it for atleast another 50 year's!!
