This level always gave me nightmares as a kid! Those robots are just menacing!

What would always scare me is when every time the alarm was activated, and I was hiding on the ceiling, the robots would see me and shoot me to death. It took me a long time to realize that they won't see me if the Spiderman icon on the top left of the screen was darkened. I guess I really should've paid attention to what the narrator said about shadowed areas in the second level.

@@johng1829not just the narrator, the hints in the loading screens are also extremely helpful. It even mentions that when the portrait darkens, you're hidden in the shadows
I knew I wasn't the only one, that building and concept of hiding in it still gets me
This mission haunts my soul to this day😂 they did great with the music for this level

The atmosphere and ambience of the level really gets me. Standard office areas, imposing elevators, dark hallways with frightening/eerie music. Not so friendly level, but oddly satisfying to play it. One of my favorite missions now for sure 👌
One of the most stressful and scary levels I’ve ever played in my life. I just completed it and I felt my heart going so fast being near the end of my life bar
This level literally gave me nightmares. One of the most horrifying levels in any game ever. One wrong move and an army of super powered death robots chasing your everywhere with ominous music playing. Just long lifeless hallways i eject felt so afraid in my life. The giant robot also scared the shit out of me as a kid too

That sound effect appears in Race Against Time (when you get caught by the spotlights, causing more Light Mechs to come after you). It of course appears in here when you get spotted by the spotlights or Super Soldiers, which instantly sets off the alarm. Oddly doesn't appear in Chemical Chaos even when you get spotted by spotlights, Super Soldiers, or tripping lasers.

This got pulled from the deepest crack in my memory. I remember it a little differently but I was like 4-5 when I played this.
Gotta love that ominous music that plays when the super soldiers come out. If a big business like Oscorp had THAT many alarms raised in one night, cops would’ve surrounded the place whether they found something or not.
haha well if you tried breaking in you wouldn't have been that wreckless to begin with if this mission had ps4 spider-man stealth controls i would have owned it

This level and pretty much every Oscorp level in this game scared the hell out of me as a kid. You’d think a game such as Spider-Man wouldn’t be THAT SCARY!
I was playing this once and my cousin snuck up on me and I screamed because I almost didn't get caught but when I jumped I accidentally made him land in front of the guard, my aunt was confused why I got scared "I was playing a scary mission" she asked what game I told her spider-man she didn't understand till I had her watch damn near pissed herself when she saw those super soldiers

thats good to bad i wasn't very stealthy but imagine if they re did this mission inside spiderman on ps4 that would be amazing
I could never beat this level as kid ! I was blocked in the game because of that ! I think when you get spotted you start the mission all over again , it was so frustrating lol
Oscorp in general in this game was horrible. Its so difficult

I only beaten this mission once. ONCE. And even then, as a teenager since this game was stressful to my brother and I. So we used the "unlock all levels" cheat to skip this and Chemical Chaos. It was that hard.
Yet funny enough, the puzzle was really easy for me on my couple of tries.

Played through this mission many times. When zi managed to beat it without getting caught or setting off the camera. It felt amazing.
What is it with older PS2 and xbox games sound effects and graphics that just spark fear in everybody including me that played almost all of them, I remember my dad literally had to find the cheat codes on the old PS2 codebreaker disc just so I could get through this level without having to worry about being scared by the freaking robots

Looking at this now, the Oscorp guards are some the of the most relatable characters in all of gaming.

This mission and the entire oscorp mission and the colour code and escaping was diabolical and the robots were so damn scary, was so intense when I first played this 😳

This whole game in general was terrifying, the music in the background, game over theme, the oscorp missions, and the tutorial mode.

I always loved how intelligent the robots were. At the end of the day, they’re just man made machines, yet they can speak and understand English clearly, and they can know and process what’s going on around them like a sentient human.

Goblin is awesome for this mission. Every time I got bored, I would just fly uncontrollably all over the place and drop tons of pumpkin bombs on the robots and guards 😂

This level made the game above average. Excellent atmosphere and level design. Makes you feel like you're sneaking around like a criminal.

Played this at my cousin's when I was 12, this level was a bit horrifying but I managed to beat it.
I really like that noise that plays whenever you turn invisible.
As a kid i was often stuck on this game. And this was sloppy

I hid in there once and that was how I learned that's where they go when the alarm is off

Getting caught by the robots in this game is way more anxiety inducing then drowning in the classic Sonic games.

5:13 the jump scare always spook me when I get caught by either the cameras or the super soldier robots
When you don't beat up the security guards to keep them from alerting the security robots, you're an idiot and you act as if you want the bad guys to beat you up and lose the level over and over again.

Should have webbed the guard & got him stuck in the computer desk til the other guard comes to fight. I’ve done it before all the time when i first got it for Christmas when i was younger
it's cause im playing it through an emulator on my pc which allows you to upscale the graphics on a game look up Simply Austin for more info

Ah yes i am on this level now and i can say it is hard. But since i like Stealth Missions should be a breeze right? Well one the Camera is your greatest Enemy and sometimes i randomly get spotted even though i am in the shadows

What makes no sense is that if the alarm get raise more than 3 times The robots should to start investigating with the guards. meaning that they now know your there

u know i haven't really noticed this until i got older is that tobey actually looks like tobey in this game but Treyarch botched him and his suit in the sequel even the textures in this game is high res when compared to spider man 2 that looks low res. wtf happened between those two games?

I used to be a huge fan of Spider-Man when I was a kid. But as soon as I had played this level I began to hate it. It is maybe the worst game of Spider-Man in my opinion becauae of these fucking Oscorp stealth levels. One mistake and you are already done. As for the music and sound effects of this level it is more annoying and scarier than horror film effects.
i suppose as a kid i never understood how to beat this level so i used cheat codes to do it but never really found it scary as far as worse levels i think the worst imo is the Quinton Beck obstetrical course in Spider-Man 2 mainly due to Beck having an aim bot and poor camera controls
@@ps2playthroughs88 I have never played Spider-Man 2 on PS2. But when it comes to the worst levels Oscorp levels must be mentioned. Another weirdest and annoying thing about these levels is that those super robots are much stronger than the bosses of this game(which doesn't make any sense) besides Spider-Man is really weak in this game which makes him completely powerless against robots. Therefore it takes a lot of effort to survive in a combat against them and all of these things makes this game extremely annoying instead of entertaining.
