Ya gotta love how Gradius has all these existentially dreadful creatures and bosses, some mechanized, some draconic, all imposing and treacherous. But then the final boss is always this cute little brain dude just kinda hanging out, sometimes he wants to give you a hug, but often times he just dies in a couple hits and you win. Admittedly, the game has an AWESOME array of bosses, but that last boss is always just kinda....there....not doing much. Just a big brain sitting.
Its almost physiological messed up against the player. Once you hit stage 9, the speed of the level gets insane then you add the badass music. Its making you think that the final boss is gonna be hell. I remember fighting the final boss in this game for the first time playing and thinking he was gonna pull some crazy attack on me any at any moment. Then i realized he practically did nothing. What a way to give me a scare for nothing 🤣
@@CPS42069 Really? Kind of crazy to believe. Thats sound like something Nintendo would say for the n64 considering their library really lacked 2d stuff. 🤣

Love it or hate it. The final boss being pathetic is a Gradius tradition

The only Graduius game that has a hard boss is Salamander 2 for the Arcade/PS1.
Whew, that Limit seems a tad OP.
well it gives you three seconds of invincibility
Combination of Limit being broken and reordering your special bar makes it OP :)
... Okay so this game looks *absolutely gorgeous?*
Love the pseudo 3D effect of this game.
Ring laser on the Easter island head level is basically a shield

35:55 *Bowser's Fury final battle 2-D remix* 🤩💚❤
Limit would be less op if you couldn’t move it in the power up menu
By keeping it in the far end of the menu.
This was only in Japan, like Really?!
This was supposed to release overseas, but Sony of America went nuts with "no 2d on muh 3d console" policy
@@CPS42069 somebody at SCEA /Sony shouldve been fired over that one.

KONAMI
