Do you think the lag with the Switch version is in the emulation, the controller, TV setup, or a combination of those? You know I don’t play these manic types, so I haven’t noticed anything on the Gradius games or Darius games available for the system. Thunder Cross always feels sluggish but I can’t tell if that’s just the game or the Switch.
It's in the system itself, feels a bit laggy even playing in handheld mode. It's not horrible, but it is a noticeable difference compared to playing on the PCB which only has 1 frame of lag.

There are actually 2 different 3-miss setups depending if you have low or high hyper gauge before hibachi. The one with low gauge is more dangerous though so I always try to have as high as possible. In the low gauge setup, instead of dying to hibachi during hyper you use up all your bombs on the flying bee then die to it. The hypers will drop when you die. Pick them up then hyper the flying bee until it dies. Your death will give more hyper for hibachi. Then instead of dying to hibachi, you point blank 1200 hits (assuming lvl2 hyper is used) then laser bomb. Then use shot bomb and point blank for a bit before he starts the flower pattern. Then do the same double bomb on the flower pattern like in my video and point black with the next hyper. Doing it this way you will also need to dodge the 3rd pattern for a bit. So it's way more risky, but you can still pull off a 3 miss hibachi with it instead of game-overing if you don't have enough hyper.
@@PEG Yeah I try to avoid 3rd pattern if possible, but even if I skip it entirely the four red washing machine pattern sometimes hit me whenever they feel like it and 50% chance of credit's over

It's possible my capture card or monitor add a bit of lag too but honestly it feels about the same playing in handheld mode.
