Yup, you are correct. Lots of international students from UTD have recently started staying at the Pearl at Frankford.

Hey, can you please let me know how far is apartment #621 from the shuttle bus stop?
Tejas Gupta I’m not 100% sure, since I don’t live there. Maybe a better question for a resident. I would guess 5-8 minutes? Starting around building 12 and higher the walk is longer. Especially buildings 20-28. Maybe 10-15 minute walk from far back.
Is there a website to book the off-campus apartments?
For 2bhk or 3bhk apartments do we need to have room-mate in advance or can we rent on per person basis?
Kapil Gautam you will book directly through the apartment leasing office. You can call or email them, or even apply on their website.
You don’t have to have roommates in advance, but lease will have to be in somebody’s name, but not every single roomate. You can split costs between roommates, but only one lease agreement per apartment.

How far is the Bus stop from Pearl on Frankford apartment? How many minutes it will take to reach there by walk?
Kamalesh A.P bus stop is right across street from the leasing office. Some apartments are pretty far back off the main road, so might have to walk 5-10 minutes for bus stop depending on where your apartment is.
Hello ! We have been asked to get renters insurance by the PEARL. Could you recommend where to get one from also is there a way it can be waived. Please advise at the earliest. Thanks
Hiral Shah good question. Every off campus apartment is going to require renters insurance. It is standard practice, plus you want it. It protects you as well. And it it pretty cheap. Some places to check online are Geico, Progressive, or Lemonade. You can also ask other students where they bought their renters insurance from. 😃

How to make the payment of deposit from outside US?
Sujeeth Shetty everyone apartment might handle this differently. You need to contact the apartment leasing office directly via email or phone call. Some might require some deposit, then you can pay full/rest when you reach. Some can reserve and then pay when you come. You might be able to wire also. Best is to ask apartment management directly.
Does the community provide beds or any other furniture?
Sumedh Sen No not this one. Almost all of the off campus options don’t provide furniture. A few on campus options do provide furniture but they are more expensive.
Does pearl have bug problems like ashwood and other apartments ? Because it is slightly more expensive than ashwood
Hiral Shah no, it’s a nicer, newer apartment community. But bugs can be anywhere if you don’t clean your apartment. With off campus housing the bugs tend to come more from students not keeping their apartment clean, rather than the condition of the apartment.
