- Since 2011 Sofia Talvik has mapped out the world one small city at the time. Through a tireless touring schedule that has taken her through 47 U.S states and many countries in Europe. Celebrating her 2019 release of her 8th studio album she is embarking on a World Tour with stops in Europe, USA and New Zealand.
Her 2015 album ”Big Sky Country”, no 13 on Folk Radio Charts, was a Folk/Americana tribute to the vast planes and big skies of North America after her 1,5 year long tour through the country. The new album ”Paws of a Bear” is reflecting inwards instead of to her surroundings, exploring thoughts about identity and home. She takes us on a trip to the small Swedish west coast island where she grew up in the first single ”Take Me Home”, walks us through the closed down school yard and down to the windy shore.

Got to see/hear Sophia at a local venue, the "Medallion Opera House" in Gorham, N.H. last evening 9/22/22. She was a bit magical as I tried to convey with this description:
Sophia is an unusual talent, part of her charm is her very "folky" way of weaving her life views and some life lessons into her songs and sometimes mesmerising music/voice! She does/is touring all across the U.S.A. (and beyond), and I recommend checking her out if you get the chance!
