If only he had run, one more time. We may not have had him for long, but whomever he picked for VP would have been FAR better than Pence! Because not only was McCain self-deprecating, and had a good sense of humor and he was smart as a whip, and THIS time, would have picked wisely.

Fun fact about Arizona roads: the only federally-funded road built since McCain was first elected is Interstate 10 in downtown Phoenix (1990).

Remember when Republicans had a sense of humour, and weren't a national embarrassment?
John McCain could be trusted for a sound bite trashing presidents of his own party and voting against the interest of everyday Americans when it mattered, but little else. His passing will be mourned, customarily so. Whatever demons having possessed John McCain's better instincts will mercifully search for a different host.
Hopefully, that position will not be given to his left behind wife... or daughter... I'd like to NEVER hear his name mentioned again... just like Bill and Hillary Clinton ... Obama & McCain are all in the same steaming pot of traitors.
